The Philippines can become a powerhouse if these can be achieved:
1. Eliminate corruption in all levels of government and private businesses
2. Self-sufficiency and food security
3. Abundant yet cheap power supply (renewables and nuclear)
Not an easy task, impossible to some even. But is it doable? I know it is.
Its possible. But its got a load of reforms to go before achieving this! The politicians will need to transform the country
Instead of saying this in the comment why not say that to our country then after that you will only get mock because of some crab mentality also there's a possible chance of Philippines becoming rich is if the government makes great uses of our natural resources like deposits of oil steel iron and gold
#1 not gonna happen. Unless people will elect a new breed of politicians who are not affiliated with any of those corrupt family of politicians and enforce a reform, legal system needs a reform, non-elected government officials needs a reform, prosecution needs a reform.
As far as I know the new Steel manufacturing will
Be erected in Zamboanga Peninsula..It will
Build 2 years time start 2023 during PBBM time..
yes zamboanga del sur has a deposits of iron ore. this iron ore has been exported to china.
Steel manufacturing is one of the main contributors to ones economy. This means we will boost our booming economy. Mabuhay Philippines!!
@@TheObeseDuathlete The Philippines have abundant reserves of nickel, iron, and copper.
It's so nice hearing news like this. Mabuhay Philippines!
Now finally the Philippines have awaken from its long slumber I'm sure this Will be the bigenning for the Philippines to be industrialized and build heavy industries and foundries so that we can now manufacture our own vehicle engines and light n heavy vehicles n machineries n equipment it's sad to see that we mine volumes of iron ores and we cannot process it mabuti pa ang Japan at sokor walang mga mineral resources nag import lang sila ng mineral resources sila ang industrialized nations at my mga heavy industries at isa pa meron nga tayong gas n oil at Deuterium pero Hindi Naman madrill para maging cash
Yes President BBM,proceed your vision to revive the Phil.Steel Manufacturing Corporation in our country because this is one of vital industry to improve our economy.
The Philippines needs to build 304ss capacity & other metals also.
304ss valves, fittings, & fasteners could all be manufactured domestically.
Now that you've mentioned it... as a kid in the 80s i still remember NSC's ads on tv. "National Steel Corporation... We're building the country."
YES ... THIS IS A MUST AND HOPE IT WILL RUN GOOD AND STRONG BACKED BY THE PHIL. GOVT.... // #FILIPINOSNEVERYIELD //
Good move, keep it up, make it work Pinas!!
That's a good move.. instead of exporting raw materials to china, we better process it for domestic use..usually raw materials are sold cheaply to china and China sell finish product to the Philippines at a hefty price that's why china benefits a lot from our resources especially mineral resources .
Philippines needs to build a solar panel manufacturing plant for domestic electricity production.
Also wind, hydro, & tidal power.
Diversify away from fossil fuels.
Brownouts are a big problem.
Storage Batteries need to be utilized also.
I hope the philippians makes good construction machinary.
MAKE THE PHILIPPINES GREAT AGAIN 💖💖💖
Its got a long way to go to become a good country though. Marcos needs to do more reforms
When NSC was around, Iligan City was among the richest cities in the Philippines earning its nickname as the Industrial City in the South. Also, the company abandoned their plant in Iligan, despite being operational to other places... It ruined the economy prowess of Iligan, and a lot of employees were affected. An economic plan was also established which is the Iligan - Cagayan de Oro economic corridor, where in companies' plantation will be built along Iligan-CDO road, but the plan failed and we did not see its potential.. I hope Region X will revived the existing economic plans in the region as Metro CDO will push push through in 2025 and plans for Metro Iligan development is slowly being proposed too... Also, among all Regions in Mindanao, only region x northern mindanao have two city that are classified as Highly Urbanized City (Iligan and Cagayan de Oro)...
That's a great move. all main corporation shouldbbe nationalized like pnb, pal, etc. we have lot s of competent manpower to manage these corporations
go, go, go guyss❤❤❤ty
It seems financing privately by companies seem more flexible than by government owned steel. In addition, Corruption is also rampant in the government. Bribery is part of the culture as we see public officials and department staff’s involvement in the POGO.
Steel manufacturing for industrialization creates more jobs and imoroved Philippines economy, creates more Warships too to patrol WPS!
bbm forever✌️✌️✌️
God bless PBBMARCOS, for ever Pres. Solid Mula senior now Jr. Marcos pa rin.❤❤❤✌️✌️✌️🙏🙏🙏🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
GLORY TO THE MOST HIGH GOD!HALLELUJAH!
THANK YOU LORD FOR THE PROTECTION ,BLESSINGS AND VICTORY TO OUR BELOVED NATION PHILIPPINES LONG LIVE IN JESUS MIGHTY NAME WE PRAY !AMEN AND AMEN!
It’s not just steel, copper and nickel processing plant must be set up in the home soil, Indonesia banned the exporting of nickel ore so all of those ores are processed inland and it paid off big! Nickel and copper is abundant in PH it only makes sense we can ourselves process them
No to china made
Philippines Steel Manufacturing Industry experiencing a massive revival! In comparison rich America is suffering from down grading steel industry!
Difficult to revive the Philippine steel industry if power costs are too high that making iron ore processing within the country expensive.
Dka ba nkikinig sa Sabi n Ramon Ang? Ang Sabi nya a big company can build their own gas station so that they don't have to pay tax, which cheaper than buying gas with tax...
Better bring back and revive the NSC the man behind the selling that steel manufacturing compny died already mr tabako or better known as Boy Benta he is no longer existing and o better bring back the NSC
Nice
Additionally, Philippines has a chance to be a shipbuilding powerhouse with the help of Korea.
happy to know my old country kept producing products for national, growth, and economic STABILITY
gising pilipino😊🎉
NSC now still not in operation.
Gamitin natin ang sariling raw matireal na stainless steel at gawin finish product bago iexport
Hope we can again produce sufficient agriculture products so we can again export RICE especially to poorer country than phils. as soon as possible .
The Philippines should have more steel mills as well as processing plants for nickel, copper, silver, gold and other minerals.
The Philippines should also explore for rare earth minerals and process them.
The Philippines is the 5th most mineralized country in the world and should leverage this to its advantage.
But we wouldnt do that because its not good for the environment and tourism.
We need to reduce corruption first and have strict laws like Singapore has
We need to do things simultaneously. Push for economic growth while fighting corruption at the same time. These two things are not mutually exclusive.
@@Darklight0028So you'd rather us being waiters and tour guides than having high quality jobs and less imports from cheaper steel and steel related products? Ok bro...
@@Darklight0028 that's the stupidest thing i ever heard. you would rather be a poor country. what stupid logic
Hhmmm.. Goodluck, we have one of the most expensive power rates. The main reason it shutdown because of expensive power rates.
NSC was sold by FVR during his term.
good job Steel Asia sooner Philippines will become less dependent to imports
Buhay pa ba yun pangulo na yun 😮 nag- brown out lang nanalo na 😮against XSenator Defensor 🎉
At least Philippines 🇵🇭 reduce imports of steel products using dollar 💵 reserves.
Buy PHILIPPINES...... we should all try to reduce our China purchases....
Why not build Steel Plants (and Gold Processing Plants) at Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur or Butuan City which, in truth, have the World's Largest Iron-Deposit - specifically from Bad-as Surgao Norte to Tandag Surigao Sur??? GOD bless the Philippines-US-Japan-Australia-UN Forces, the Free World and the Truth Seekers.
Not only metal iron but more than that metallic elements they wanted in that so called areas.
You have to consider first the ample source of electricity during the planning stage for locating the steel plant. Only in the industrialized region of Luzon can guarantee, at least, the supply of electricity as the National Grid has been established already.
Kayang kaya nman pla gumawa ng sariling barko
Hoping for locally made steel at low cost.
Tell me war is coming without telling me war is coming
Ismael steel sino ba nag benta niyan sa insik.meron na Tayo niyan noon.
Strait forward to development. Lessen red tape
Asap steel company and Philippines
Impose tariiff on imported steel and support local. Philippines will be great again.
We can built our own military equipment if we have our own steel
Mills.
goverment must handel this company many Pilipino will have job i dont know what happen why it was closed
Actually only the officials are going to be rich the ordinary people are still poor. The only way to become the wealthy people is we have to focus on agriculture because everywhere in the Philippines we can grow all kinds of plant and we have to focus on export industry...that's the only hope of the Philippines...look at Vietnam,Thailand and Malaysia. They are focusing on agriculture that's why their rice are too chip compare to us....😊😊
Snippet: Not sure now who sold it back then if it was helpful to the weak economy, but good to hear the business is finally back. Yes, we have more than enough steel workforce covering all 3-regions. Let's get it started mga Comanches. You may want to consider building it in Mindanao -- maraming walang trabaho sa region at pono ng ta0 na walang income araw-araw. God bless you ✝ju2024
Only dilawan politician down our economy like steel plant mills and smelting plant of iron in visayas were disappeared during dilawan time including boy benta FVR who sold everything our manufacturing
Like iligan steel
Mills to Chinese.. PBBM want to restore our Philippine steel
Mills to industrialize our country as well as our agriculture .. God bless Philippines thru our President PBBM who loves his country and Filipinos to have a better life in the future..
it's seems you are ignorant about steel industry. Hope you revisit the events that transpired from Macapagal to Marcos era instead of stating fake news.
@@user-rj7bt9vp5m You were ignorant than anyone on earth! From Macapagal to Marcos, the Philippine economy was in transition because of 1946 era Bell Trade Act and the American PARITY RIGHTS! The end of this free trade agreement with the US had affected the Philippine economy. Don't blame Marcos on the end of this Free Trade Law because it was the US which signified in late 1960s the non-renewal of the FTA. As the American previously controlled the Philippine economy until 1974, Marcos tried to rebuild and planned the industrialization of the economy, transitioning from 60% agriculture based until 1960s!
Sayang nawala ang NSC sa iligani city. Napakalaking planta yab.
What government companies during Marcos administration did not went bankrupt, NSC was one them;National Power Corporation, PAL, PNB and many others.
This is what we need to develop, our steel industry. 100% recyclable, sustainable and eco-friendly potential.
😢 i hope these phil-chines are good and true filipino
If not.... They will side to china...
Huwag n iwas n mag deliver SA kalaban dapat Doon n SA ibang country deliver
Good thing Ramos sold it before the rise of Chinese 🇨🇳 manufacturing otherwise it would've been more painful.
Well years later it will flop because, well this Philippines. Anong industry ba ang nagboom satin diba wala!?
National steel corp was long gone it was closed down because of competition from China which it can’t compete !
It can compete at that time but the Ramos government did NOT support the upgrading of equipment requested by the NSC to improve the efficiency of their operation. Rather than helping to boost it's productiin capacity, Ramos had opted to sell the NSC!
Australia kaya?
Filipinos good luck with your illusions of greatness continue to forever idolize your politicians who enriched themselves only & did nothing for you don't get confused Makati BGC & a few industries is not the entire PH
Mismanaged
Well it was an American company. Both PBM and NSC until the 60/40 rule passed Congress. I would rather have the American steel mills come back as the quality of American steel has superior quality even if it was made in the Philippines.
How can flips revived national steel cop. When FDI were gone for good to Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand.
owner has Chinese blood. 💀
because of the aquinos. it got destroyed
thanks to Aquino! NSC is closed!
Eh may magaling na nanggulo sa pilipinas noon.
" The komunistang dilawan led by Cory & Ramos Sell the Philippines biggest steel & smelting plant to the Malaysian when they are in Power ' but where is the money ??!
Makoy bankrupt the NSC due to corruption. Ramos and Cory had no choice but to sell to private companies. Ramos and Cory introduced the CBD (Central Business Districts) model. And voila we have BGC, Ortigas, Makati CBD etc. Makoy corrupted all the funds during his 25 years of tyranny
Dalawan also sold a lot of government real estate properties. Where’s the money.
that's not Philippines'...
that's chinese. 🤣
Well Behind Asia is a troll page paid by, well whoever pays them has a ton of delusional views for the Philippines.
I am an engineer who knows a thing or two on steel industry. And I know we justsimply don’t have the capability to build any industry, let alone a steel one.
You forgot to mention Atlas steel. What happen to this company? CORRUPTED?
Overpriced steel 😂 same quality in china
China sell cheaper
Ramos was a disaster

Agree na i revive yan, hopefully be owned ng ating Government, PLD, PNB, PAL etc, golden years ng Philippines time ni PFEM at ngayon ay si PBBM the Marcoses are truly a patriotic etc. mabuhay ang Pilipinas 🙏🙏♥️❤️❤️
Hopefully this will be revived during PBBM time. There were many projects during FEM time na napabayaan nang succeeding administrations.
