Op 7 and op 3, the season 2 ending spoils literally everything to this day in the anime but also in the manga. It’s crazy once you’ve finished the manga to see so many hints that are anything but subtle lol
To be fair about Eren not telling Mikasa what he felt, Eren has barely said anything at all about what he feels or thinks about anything since s3, we even lost his inner monologue.
Fun fact: the 3rd ending is actually the most spoiler-filled of them all. It shows the rise of Founder Ymir. It shows Maria, Rose and Sina eating Ymir's corpse. It even shows King Fritz and his group of Eldians retreating to Paradis. It's by far the most spoiler-filled and what makes it even crazier is the fact that some of this stuff wasn't even revealed in the Manga when this ending was released! Isayama really does plan ahead with everything he does! Btw, its his birthday today!
Fun fact Every ending is focused on something: ED 1 - Mikasa ED 2 - All characters and in its origins ED 3 - The truth about the origins of the titans ED 4 - Historia ED 5 - A tribute to those who died and could not see outside the walls ED 6 - Falco ED 7 - Eren and his desire to be free (+ just like you guys pointed out it was a conversation betwen eren and mikasa)
I'd say ending 6 is abt more than just Falco, the visuals def focus on him but the lyrics def reference Eren and the scouts (the wings of birds turning to ash could represent the Wings of Freedom for the Scouts that gave their lives, "won't someone remember me after I'm gone?"). I also think it visually focuses on Marley a lot too, showing Falco but also Reiner, Gabi, the scenes of war and the despair their side went through. It's a really somber portrayal of the brutal reality of war, my favorite ending by far
It is a memory of what he told her: that he will always protect her (as he does with everyone, not only with mikasa, with his friends and the whole island)
Surprised you missed the " all I ever wanted to do was save your life, I never wanted to grab a knife" line, which reffered to Eren saving Mikasa in season 1 from the 3 guys. Personally that one hit me the most.
Yes, I agree with you, this is my personal favorite line from all the AoT music. This reflects not only the situation from the past, but also the situation in real time. Eren never really wanted to kill all these millions of innocent (and not innocent, I won't deny it) people, but he is ready to sacrifice anything for the sake of freedom, happiness and safety of his friends, so he “grabs a knife” (the rumbling)
but then Eren wanted to grab a knife?, because Eren says that he wanted to do all that, including the rumble, because that would save his friends, that is, whenever someone threatens another's freedom, Eren will always protect him.
@Bryan Olivera it’s not that he wants to do these things, it’s that he’ll do anything in his power for him and his friends to have freedom, whether that’s killing someone in your house or millions from a different continent.

Happy I could help if I did :)
I never quite understood that scene where the Beast titan is running alongside large animals and crushing people, then I convinced my wife to watch this show, who's a marine biologist. She came up with an intersting theory, she said that the animals shown in the intro were all the largest predators in their own ecosystem, so it could be a way of showing the titans as the natural predator in the human's ecosystem.
omg that is so cool! spoilers below . . . . . . . . if you read the manga tho, the beast titans comes in various species so it's totally a manga spoiler from isayama
Huh. That's actually a pretty interesting theory. I'm not sure how well it applies, seeing as butterflies and Mantis were included. I always saw it as more of a primal struggle or inherent connection between all living things.
Akuma no ko is an unbeaten masterpiece, with several different parts of music, best animation what animeOPs and Endings have ever seen, and the most catchy refrain of all time, which gets you crying without even knowing the story. The will to be free and live is so strong that the emotion leads over to anyone watching and hearing this
Many 80s and early 90s anime openings and endings are metal songs. That's because of how big and how good japanese rock n roll was in the 80s and how much they liked metal. And that's why they are some of the absolute best anime OPs/EDs of all time.
@@FuzzyDlop Metal is actually still pretty huge in Japan. I think it’s in the top 5 most listened to genres in Japan. It’s very enriched into the culture there
Ange saying "This is Korean" threw me for a loop, I was like "IT IS???" but then I remembered that I know how to speak Japanese and was like, "Why would I even believe that for a second..." Also, I don't remember crying to elevator music.
When you can understand and speak multiple languages things like this always bound to happens, i even confused my own native tongue sometimes for other language and forgot words in my native language
I know Yuugure no tori (S2 Ending) sounds weird and eerie, but it's made that way on purpose, to show how horrifying the titan war and the 2000 years of titan domination were. And it's especially good because of the insane amount of foreshadowing it had. Even when Isayama hadn't drawn all Ymir's past and Marley.
Personally I [love] that ending because it's so creepy and weird. Sums up the history of the titans pretty well. I also love seeing reactors get weirded out from it XD
Personally I think ED 3 is highly underrated. It's not the most technically impressive musically but it does what it's trying to do: give you creepy vibes. It also shows you: Ymir making "the pact" with the "devil of all Earth" and becoming the first Titan, Ymir using her Titan to conquer King Fritz's enemies, King Fritz having his daughters eat the Founder Ymir, Eldia using Titans to conquer Marley and other nations across centuries, THE RUMBLING, and the place in the desert where Marley turns Restorationists into Titans, all without actually spoiling anything for anyone that doesn't know what's going on
Interesting trivia but the 3rd OP that you guys mentioned sounded like little demons singing.. that came from Season 2. Now all of the imagery was basically "spoilers" for the Titans history that even manga readers hadn't known about yet. Isayama spoiled even manga readers with that ending.
I will try to explain why the 2nd season opining sound like that and why its a genius one The second season ending is so amazing Because they showed the whole story The great titan war and the images of Yemir from the history book of Grishia A one she looks like an angel and another where she takes the fruit and how she got eating and the titans coming up from the sea and the rumbling titans walking and many of the core story But...but they are so talented to make the song sound historical and with the dark images many will not like to always watch it or then people will figure a lot of things I really appreciate their boldness to make to make that song And its because the writer and every one planned the ending from the beginning and and they want to show off how they had it planed in there mind...wow
Ange I believe you're right about the last ending. Eren literally had to sacrifice everything in order to transform an old cruel world, shown as the world within the walls that we all know covered in foliage within the "bird cage", into the bright and colorful new world. By doing so, there is no place for him in it, which was shown by him being whisked away by flames as he stood in that new world he just created for those he cared about.
For the 3rd ending the song originally was written in japanese but a couple of days before release the producer asked the band to change it to english, so they had to use google translate to translate it before the deadline. That's the reason for the broken english they use.
I can't believe they didn't noticed it. I'm one of those manga readers who couldn't wait 4 years for the 2nd season and when I first watched this ending I was confused.
Very true. Because Historia's season didn't happen yet where we get the first taste of that ending. In her childhood book. But manga readers would have an idea because it is clearly a girl getting powers and then a very Hellenistic looking goddess. Which was discussed from Frieda reading the book to Historia. The only true spoiler-spoiler is the Rumbling depictions. The talk of "clans" had a few cameos in the Anime and Manga. Hanji mentions how humans once formed clans, and a few others said they once fought with weapons in the past, and the anime has a scene of humans fighting humans in the courtroom in S1. So the topics in the lyrics aren't foreign, and the depiction of Ymir is a cool manga-only reference if you paid attention. And from S4 we know the main two clans were Eldia and Marley.
Ending 1 is Mikasa pov to Eren. "In this beautiful and cruel world we only ask why we’re still alive. Ah, what are we going to protect with our strength and weakness? If reason no longer exists." Ending 7 is Eren pov to Mikasa. "This world is cruel, but I still love you. Even if I sacrifice everything, I will protect you." Mikasa pretty much asked the question and Eren gave her his answer 🥲🥲🥲
Not every anime can do this. Attack on titan always takes you into its dark world no matter how many times you watch it. It is one of the most emotionally hit series. Like other naruto one piece , the series can be watched over and over again , but those serious dark feelings of hopelessness will only be in a few episodes . Attack on titan is the best series in anime history in my opinion. I'm glad I started watching Manga and Anime with attack on titan. It's a series I've been following since 2016. Thanks to Hajime isayamaya for writing such a beautiful series
Also a fun fact: In this show flowers are also representative for humans, so in the last ending where Eren is walking on the flowers and trampling them....there is a pretty interesting implication here.....
that part is also a callback to the forest scene in season one when Levi was telling eren either to believe in himself or his comrades and telling him to pick whatever choice he will regret the least hence why the lyrics say "What is right is believing in myself strongly"
Eren did tell his friends that they are the most important thing for him in a flashback in S4 pt1 when they were building the train rails and talking about the next attack titan user, he didn't want them to have the power because he wanted them to live long lives. Also in S4 p2 last episode he said that he wanted his friends to be happy and have long lives.
Am I the only one, who just LOVES the third op? It’s so creepy, but so majestically beautiful, and it is so mind blowing how they were showing us a whole lore’s pre-story in it while it was yet to be shown even in the manga. It’s just so fcking incredible. And I just love how during the song they’re missing the notes to make it much more uncomfortable for listening I’ll probably go with ops 3, 6 and 7 as my favorite ones, somewhere near them is op 4. And my least favorite ones are op 1 and 5
But, I easily agree on him not because of the language, but because of the music type. It sounds like kpop, or at least, back then when I started watch AoT for the first time as a kpoper, that one song is easily I got because it doesnt sound too Japanese. Because as a kpoper, it is hard for me to like japanese music back then.
the season 2 ending is one of the best because how it focuses on the terrifying history of the titans. it really plays into the mindbending horror aspect of the show. it makes you think about people 2000 years ago trying to fight off hordes of Titans with spears, Ymirs family eating each others remains to pass the power along, just the pure darkness of the shows past.
I just finishes watching and reading.. And it was truely cruel. It still leaves a hole in my heart... *Spoilers* This is my personal perspective: Season 2 Opening (Sasageyo) -Was how I thought the story will, they will defeat all the Titans and enemies and finally achieved peace and there answer PEACEFULLY and satisfiedly Season 4 Part 2 (The Rumbling) -How actually it went. A dissappointing answer. Still a cruel world... That thinks of them as the devil. I just realized that everything in season 4 was a large scale, the whole world is involved. Yet the story is about Eren and Mikasa...
fun fact about Season 4 part 1 opening: the verse notes are the reversed notes of Season 1 part 1 opening (Guren no Yumiya). kind of crazy knowing Eren role reversal between Season 1 and Season 4. the part when you mentioned key-change, the strings behind it played the same notes as one of the OST written by Guren no Yumiya composer. idk if this is intentional homage or not, but interesting nonetheless.
the first and last endings are such parallels i love how they planned it out. also shogeki is probably my fav ending, the full song + the lyrics just gives me chills
"Children cling to their coins squeezing out their wisdom" "Children cling on to their very last coins" Ah I can't wait for the first episode of part 3
i think ur the first reactors who've reacted to more than just the OP's and ED's in a single video honestly ur passion and excitement for the songs whose names i don't even know is fantastic and amazing ya'll deserve a bajillion subs honestly
It's like him saying "This is a Marleyan song!" when he was actually listening to an Eldian song. Ange mistaking it in this specific way would actually trigger so many Japanese people if you know some real things that Attack on Titan story's theme is reminiscent of for Japanese people.
The sort of appreciation AOT music gets from well versed musicians like you really shows how amazing they are... Lots of Love guys for you. One of the most amazing reactors out there. I think you should also do the trailers... You're gonna love them
Hearing the first two seconds of The Rumbling never fails to get me incredibly hyped up and I just get so overwhelmed and excited and emotional throughout the whole thing 😭😭
I had the same reaction with "The Rumbling". Although usually,as Eren is sort of the main character, it should get me hyped up for the rumbling and all thats coming with it, but for some reason it makes me emotional and uneasy, thats why I love AoT, and the discussions coming with it, there is no right or wrong, just ideals clashing
The 3rd ending gives me goosebumps every time, it's such a eary and creepy feeling, it feel almost like a bad dream, the music sounds baffled and the vocals are weird, it's so unsetling and that's what makes it so damn good, it feels and sounds like attack on titan should, and if you know all the lore behind ymir and the history of the titans it only gets darker and darker, this ending is simply perfect for what the show is about
29:20 That's basically the unspoken rule with Opening and Ending, hype song at the Opening and sad one at the Ending. Obviously not all anime does this but most of them are.
The ending of part 2 after watching parts 1 and 2 is clear. The scarf and the bird are symbols of freedom for both Eren and Mikasa. Eren wants to do all of this not only for her friends to protect them, but also for herself. He said it many times. He can't stay with Mikasa because it doesn't make sense. He only had 4 years left before he would die and leave Mikasa alone. After all, he told the Zek that. Therefore, there have been all these attempts to reject it. He asked Luisa to take the scarf. He wants Mikasa to forget about him. So that she could live happily ever after. To be free. At the same time, the words that he loves her are true and that is why, among other things, he wants to do everything to give Mikasa and the rest of his friends the best possible life, even if he has to sacrifice everything. Also a lot about Eren says the passage that he wants to be free as a bird. Be able to go wherever he wants. But it would be a prison for him if he had nothing to return to.
I once read somewhere that the scarf doesn't just represent freedom. It also represents a slave's collar. Without spoilers, both Eren and Mikasa feel confined in what they are doing. In their place in their world, they don't feel as if they have freedom, as much as they have more of a purpose to attend to. One might even say that through Mikasa's scarf, her love for Eren is something confining, even going outside of what Eren said to Mikasa during that episode called "Savagery". Sometimes, love is like that. You feel lost in it, without any type of rational for your devotion to a person. Some might even call that devotion as "obsession", and there the lines get blurred, like how the entirety of AoT is. You don't know what side you're on, anymore.
@@peterwyatt5702 mikasa's scarf was never 'a slave's collar' as you put it, this notion was started only bc of eren saying she was a slave in the ep savagery and ot was already debunked. and if mikasa was 'obsessed', she would've joined the yeagerist and justified the onslaught of the rumbling, but she didn't, she refused the offer to be one of their rulers and joined the alliance instead
@@jennamarie6955 I'm attempting to understand things more from Mikasa's perspective. What does Mikasa think? And have you been through some similar experience? I have. Mikasa will go down the road to stop Eren. Since she's joined the Alliance, that becomes her purpose, due to her personal attachment with Eren. She's even questioned by Annie if she can even kill Eren. When Annie pulled that question out, Mikasa drew her swords. Understanding her and comprehending that she does not want to harm Eren makes me believe that she will do anything for Eren. Besides, refusing to join the Yaegerists doesn't mean that she would have sided with Eren. She sides with her personal attachments, which is what my first comment wrote about. As with her reacting like that to Annie's question, or her still considering the scarf as an important piece of her sentimental attitude with Eren in her mind, how I understand her is that she is no longer doing anything for humanity's sake. She joined the Alliance to get closer to Eren, because he's always strayed from her with his own goals.
@@peterwyatt5702 You would be right if Mikasa's affection for Eren resulted from what Eren told her at the table scene, which how many thought and confirmed in the last episode by Zek was a lie. She just loves him but she can go against him.
Everytime that Ange smirks, smiles and put his hands over his mouth, we all know that he's loving what he is seeing...hahahaha. I followed you guys since episode 1, and I'm being 100% sincere when I say it's been the best. You guys are the best reactors that I've found out. So funny, so smart, so repectfull, polite, humble, and so kind. I don't know, but I have the feeling that you guys really enjoy this and put so much love on these videos. Not only for the views. Of course, I'm still with you guys now watching Demon Slayer and Jujutsu Kaisen, and I will always laugh at Ange smiles of excitment and Carlie's puns. (: Love from Brazil! Ps: Ange, that's japanese! But I saw some people had already pointed that out to you hahaha Ps.2: That was Annie's blood...HAHAHAHA
Much respect to you guys for doing all of these OP and ED reactions in one video. Most other people would have split this up and milked it into multiple videos. Great works guys.
The english lyrics for the 3rd ending are also completely wrong. Granted, the correct ones make equally little sense. Also, it's one of my favourites. I love the eerie vibe it gives out - I was completely freaked out the first time I heard it, and no other song's ever done that to me.
They have a weird accent but it's actually in English, ua-cam.com/video/j-c3HmDxBHA/v-deo.html, I agree it doesn't make sense, they probably just made it to sound good.
Ending 5 is not in korean I think you heard the word "naega" which is very much an overused word in a lot of korean songs. But "negai" (ねがい) or "negaigoto" (ねがいごと) means WISHES in Japanese as it says in the subtitles. Also the song literally starts with the sayonara so obviously its japanese. But don't stop trusting your ears cuz you were right about most of the other things for example the key change and the opening and ending of season 3 part 1 having a similar section but slowed down
Anime ED's are usually so underrated. Most people with stick around for the intro but stop the episode once the ED starts playing. Some people haven't heard some of these amazing endings. And that's just so tragic. On a serious note, AOT has some really great endings and openings. My favorite OP is probably 7. Or 3. My favorite ED is definitely 6 or 7. Love those two.
My interpretation of Akuma no ko is that the bird represents Eren and his desire for freedom, while the cage is Eren being caged in by the world.Overall feels like Eren outlining his feelings about what how he is unflinching in his desire for freedom in what ever form that takes and for his friends to have their own freedom.
good reactions guys as always, just a note about "The rumbling" opening, it took the No. 1 spot on the US Billboard Hot Hard Rock Songs chart in its second week.
I only realized this cuz I’ve rewatched the episodes probably like 100 times now but in op 2 it shows hange’s eye being blown off 2 seasons before it happened
I truly understand Carlie crying while listening to The Rumbling, that was pretty much my reaction too! loved the video! didn't expect to also see the reaction for the AoT Suite at the end, really awesome!
I love the 3rd ending. It's so creepy and mysterious, it was perfect since thats the first thing we hear after season 2 came out so long after season 1, and season 2 is when things really start to reveal themselves, so the imagination could run wild with that creepy ending. It all hinted at things so far away. I love dark mysteries like that. The music isn't enjoyable on purpose, but it has the perfect vibe in my opinion. Theres not alow of music that is able to convey that dark feeling without trying too hard. I can only think of the black metal band Burzum as manging to convey the same kind of feeling.
33:03 That's "YUGURE NO TORI". My favorite one. You might want to listen to it again after the end of AOT I promise you the lyrics will blow you off !!! It's like it was meant for the end of AOT, so poetic and relevant !
They don’t have a skip intro option because these are ones you don’t skip lol. I understand people not wanting to see potential spoilers but at the same time, to me, it connects you to each season hearing the intro and outro each time. And they have like a special connection to how they made you feel. Feel like it’s also the way that it should be watched because that’s how the creators made it and wanted you to see it
47:15 tbh I think everyone exaggerates when they speak on Eren and Mikasa's relationship. Eren yelled at her a few times out of frustration with himself for not being the one doing the protection and he even talks about it with her. Their whole relationship changes after Hannes death and you can clearly see they both have matured and have stopped miscommunicating. It's not like "oh suddenly he's 'writing' her a song 💌" it's always been there. And you guys have even pointed out the way he feels about her on your reactions. You guys noticed they are a parallel to Gabi and Falco when not many ppl see that. So it's a little weird to me u guys say this now lol Other thing about the whole " Eren treats Mikasa badly" is that no one ever mentions the way Gabi treated Falco or Ymir throwing Historia against a tree lol it's funny how it's always mentioned in regards to Eren/Mikasa and not everyone else's relationship. I never take those scenes so seriously because on all those instances I've mentioned (including Eren and Mikasa's) they were no older than 15. They were children who experienced incredibly traumatic events at their formative years, ofc they lack of emotional stability to develop correctly within their relationships
I feel like so much of the reaction to openings and endings (in general, not just Carlie & Ange here specifically) is based around the "spectacle" of the music and the animation that sometimes the little details in the lyrics and the animation can fly under the radar, but should absolutely be appreciated. One thing in particular I noticed is how the foreshadowing of Annie, Bert, and Reiner being traitors is present EVEN IN THE OP AND ED from season 1. OP2 of season 1, the part where Ange was talking about it showing the characters on the downbeats, it cycles through all our main cast with everyone facing towards the left side of the screen. The last three however are Bert, Reiner and Annie who, despite also being shown facing the same direction as everyone previous, their bodies are turned towards the OPPOSITE direction so they are looking over their shoulders, and then Annie, who is revealed as the Female Titan during the part this OP precedes, turns to fully FACE the opposite direction as well. ED2 of season 1 as well, when it's scrolling past everyone standing against the walls, the section is split up into two groups, the second of which consists of Annie, Reiner, and Bert, as well as Ymir and Christa who have unrevealed secrets connected to the truth of the walls. (Also in the season 2 OP, despite Reiner and Bert being present alongside the Scouts earlier in the OP, when they show the Scouts lined up on top of the wall, guess who's missing) I'm sure there is a ton more overall symbolism and stuff hidden throughout these which is really interesting to dive into
Funfact: Hiroyuki Sawano has also made one song for League of Legends. I've seen many League reactions on your channel that's why just mentioned it. You should also react to Ashes on The Fire, it's my favorite OST
Thank you for the months spent reacting to AoT specifically, I've loved every second of it, you guys are amazeballs! Also if you enjoy The Rumbling, you should check out the full version and do a reaction to it - Even more twists!
It's amazing that Eren's name is Jeager, wich means "hunter" in german. When you know it, and you hear and read at 4:01 "We hunters/jeagers slaughter prey beyond the castle walls".... damn what a show....
11:00〜 I am Japanese born in Japan. They are the only artists who can enter the top 10 in Japan with a new song. Artists who sing other OPs and EDs are almost unknown in Japan. The level of artists who can't sell in Japan is also quite high. I like the ED song "Devil's Child(悪魔の子)" the best in the series.
@@CarlieAndAnge Aww! I can't believe this. it's my first reply ever 😍 thank you so much guys. I love you guys so much. And dont say I'm the legend. Please... You guys are the real legends 🙏❤️. that has never been Eren's freedom, in-fact he ditched her all the time since he was a kid in pursuit of freedom basically going out of his way to not have a home with her
@@ulysses5439 my friend, you have not understood this show. You're saying that he his freedom means to go outside the wall is wrong, it was Armin freedom that influence him to think that he would be free too if he can go outside, which he later realized that there is no freedom outside. His ditching her doesn't not means that he hate mikasa, he just want to make them away from him because he need to focus on things that his friends would never agree upon. He was lying to her, which was later shown in the last ep. He initially as a kid ignore mikasa or sometimes irritated of her because he wanted to saver her as a man but every time saved by mikasa instead. It was also shown in season 1, as his mother said to him that you should protect her as a man not opposite! You should watch first and last ed of this anime, then you would realize how much they love each other. Mikasa asked a question in ed 1 and eren replied to her in last ed, which is very emotional!!! 🥺 Tell me what is outside the wall that attracts eren as a freedom, his whole purpose is to save her and live with her, which you will see in upcoming season!
The second part of "YouSeeBIGGIRL/T:T" (which you've reacted to here) is actually a rearranged version of the second part of "Vogel im Käfig". _(Whose fragments were being played in various memorable scenes of season 1, most notably in the final scene of the 1st episode.)_ That's why it's also known as "Vogel im Käfig 2". I personally prefer the arrangement of the original "Vogel im Käfig", and I recommend you to view a live performance of its original version.
Just something that caught my eye: In the full version of the first opening, the singer says "The world itself as Eren desires". Keep in mind that the song came in 2013.
35:00 That's my favorite ending of all of them. Full of foreshadowing, the most haunting music ever, unintelligible lyrics but the vibes make you feel so uncertain and uncomfortable about the existance of Titans and the history of humanity at that point that I just can't stop admiring it. I think this is the ending you should always watch in your first watch, it helps set the tone a lot.
Akuma No Ko hits different. And if you read the manga and watched the ending with the lyrics when it was first out, istg people would be bawling their eyes out.
FINALLY!! The way you reacted to The Rumbling made me so happy for some reason ) Definitely my favourite op. To the point where I'm a almost sure the next one will not reach its level. To be fair about Eren not telling Mikasa what he felt, Eren has barely said anything at all about what he feels or thinks about anything since s3, we even lost his inner monologue.
The only inner dialogue we got from eren in season 4 was when he was battling the war hammer titan and was trying to figure out her weakness

@@jrlombardi5251 yeah the bird and when eren burning have its own meaning but those are spoilers (the bird mean freedom too no t just manga spoiler)
ED 5 - Not Korean 😂
I'd say ending 6 is abt more than just Falco, the visuals def focus on him but the lyrics def reference Eren and the scouts (the wings of birds turning to ash could represent the Wings of Freedom for the Scouts that gave their lives, "won't someone remember me after I'm gone?"). I also think it visually focuses on Marley a lot too, showing Falco but also Reiner, Gabi, the scenes of war and the despair their side went through. It's a really somber portrayal of the brutal reality of war, my favorite ending by far
I’m pretty sure ED7 isn’t just a conversation between Eren and Mikasa it’s definitely between all of his friends
@@jackcampbell7898 nope, it's Eren to Mikasa

The first Ending with Mikasa only is a song about her love to Eren.
The last Ending with Eren only is a song about his love for Mikasa.

"the world is cruel but I still love you" that shit hits hard 💔
They didn't miss it though?!?
but then Eren wanted to grab a knife?, because Eren says that he wanted to do all that, including the rumble, because that would save his friends, that is, whenever someone threatens another's freedom, Eren will always protect him.
💯💯💯
@Bryan Olivera it’s not that he wants to do these things, it’s that he’ll do anything in his power for him and his friends to have freedom, whether that’s killing someone in your house or millions from a different continent.

I never quite understood that scene where the Beast titan is running alongside large animals and crushing people, then I convinced my wife to watch this show, who's a marine biologist. She came up with an intersting theory, she said that the animals shown in the intro were all the largest predators in their own ecosystem, so it could be a way of showing the titans as the natural predator in the human's ecosystem.
omg that is so cool!

if you read the manga tho, the beast titans comes in various species so it's totally a manga spoiler from isayama
oh that is interesting
I assumed it had to do with the eternal struggle against extinction.
It's already explained in the manga, but good theory
The will to be free and live is so strong that the emotion leads over to anyone watching and hearing this
So we can all clearly agree anime needs more metal openings, right? 🔥
💯
Cast you madlad
And Ange should be the one to do it 🥺
Many 80s and early 90s anime openings and endings are metal songs.
That is Japanese, not Korean. He was wrong and misunderstanding.

@@goldenrollin3546 he just said that lmao
I know Yuugure no tori (S2 Ending) sounds weird and eerie, but it's made that way on purpose, to show how horrifying the titan war and the 2000 years of titan domination were. And it's especially good because of the insane amount of foreshadowing it had. Even when Isayama hadn't drawn all Ymir's past and Marley.
Personally I [love] that ending because it's so creepy and weird. Sums up the history of the titans pretty well. I also love seeing reactors get weirded out from it XD
if you know the meaning of that ending youll know the eldians were real evil ppl
Musically the melody itself isn't bad but they purposely made the mixing and instrumentation creepy for it, its a pretty good ending.
The most impressive foreshadowing is that shot of all the fans leaving the series
@@PC_797 yeah, we all have to admit that we were all very creeped out the first time we saw it. It's like "My War", it grows on you over time
Personally I think ED 3 is highly underrated. It's not the most technically impressive musically but it does what it's trying to do: give you creepy vibes. It also shows you: Ymir making "the pact" with the "devil of all Earth" and becoming the first Titan, Ymir using her Titan to conquer King Fritz's enemies, King Fritz having his daughters eat the Founder Ymir, Eldia using Titans to conquer Marley and other nations across centuries, THE RUMBLING, and the place in the desert where Marley turns Restorationists into Titans, all without actually spoiling anything for anyone that doesn't know what's going on
literally one of the best outros ever, from the song to the visuals.
Interesting trivia but the 3rd OP that you guys mentioned sounded like little demons singing.. that came from Season 2. Now all of the imagery was basically "spoilers" for the Titans history that even manga readers hadn't known about yet. Isayama spoiled even manga readers with that ending.
3rd ending* then ^^
*ending
I will try to explain why the 2nd season opining sound like that and why its a genius one
The second season ending is so amazing
Because they showed the whole story
The great titan war and the images of Yemir from the history book of Grishia
A one she looks like an angel and another where she takes the fruit and how she got eating and the titans coming up from the sea and the rumbling titans walking and many of the core story
But...but they are so talented to make the song sound historical and with the dark images many will not like to always watch it or then people will figure a lot of things
I really appreciate their boldness to make to make that song
And its because the writer and every one planned the ending from the beginning and and they want to show off how they had it planed in there mind...wow
It's not spoiler, it's a foreshadowing
it was a biblical like song that showed both side of the story that's why it had angle/demon mixed up
“Destruction and regeneration..You are the real enemy”- Sums up everything for the show..many didn’t even notice this part of the song
You see that third ending?
At the time it came out in season 2 even manga readers didn’t know what was being foreshadowed at that time 😂😂
I can't believe they didn't noticed it.
SAO S4 moment lol
@@LycanFerret in which ep hange mentioned that😮
That still blows my mind, the manga fan base was going absolutely feral
Tbh AoT OSTs are not only great musically but also lyrically. That's why I love this show.
Ending 1 is Mikasa pov to Eren. "In this beautiful and cruel world we only ask why we’re still alive.
Ah, what are we going to protect
with our strength and weakness? If reason no longer exists."
Ending 7 is Eren pov to Mikasa. "This world is cruel, but I still love you. Even if I sacrifice everything, I will protect you." Mikasa pretty much asked the question and Eren gave her his answer 🥲🥲🥲
Ohhhhhh myyy god that’s mind blowing isayama hajime is actually a genius

Why would he care about Mikasa now when he didn't care the entire show? 7 is obviously directed towards Paradis and his friends.
@@0xRoco part 3 will help you understand 👍🏽
Oh no 🙈🙈🙈
oh shit...the rumbling
I come to the comment section thinking I know a lot about AoT symbolism and then I find something new again.
Thanks man.
and those flowers are present in the first, third and last op
that part is also a callback to the forest scene in season one when Levi was telling eren either to believe in himself or his comrades and telling him to pick whatever choice he will regret the least hence why the lyrics say "What is right is believing in myself strongly"
Season 4 Part 2 is absolutely the BEST ending I've seen in all anime. It's just unbeatable.
"if i lose it all, outside the wall, live to die another die" and then the image of all the group🥺♥️ IT HURTS!!!!😭😭😭😭
you guys NAILED IT with the rumbling reaction. I felt it all, just like both of you. It's great to see you guys be so passionate about it
Eren did tell his friends that they are the most important thing for him in a flashback in S4 pt1 when they were building the train rails and talking about the next attack titan user, he didn't want them to have the power because he wanted them to live long lives.
And I just love how during the song they’re missing the notes to make it much more uncomfortable for listening
I’ll probably go with ops 3, 6 and 7 as my favorite ones, somewhere near them is op 4. And my least favorite ones are op 1 and 5
u mean ED?
yea, I agreed... its so unsettling and I Iike it
Has the same vibe as Monster ED unsettlingly beautiful
yes. totally agree. underrated too.
Your ears are great, Ange, but S3 P2 ED is definitely Japanese, not Korean 😂 Love you guys! Great reactions ❤️
Yeah that confused the heck out of me, Korean and Japanese sound nothing alike to me XD
😂 Ya but its fine. It used to happen to me too when I started listening to kpop.
Haha dang it! Thanks Alex ❤️
100% japanese yeah
*Spoilers*
This is my personal perspective:
Season 2 Opening (Sasageyo)
-Was how I thought the story will, they will defeat all the Titans and enemies and finally achieved peace and there answer PEACEFULLY and satisfiedly
Season 4 Part 2 (The Rumbling)
-How actually it went.
Thanks fir explaining this, I always wondered what exactly what it was that made it feel so familiar especially when closely listen to the strings
Thanx for the info dude. Literally didn't know this

It's like him saying "This is a Marleyan song!" when he was actually listening to an Eldian song.
Ange mistaking it in this specific way would actually trigger so many Japanese people if you know some real things that Attack on Titan story's theme is reminiscent of for Japanese people.

the full version is incredible
Hearing the first two seconds of The Rumbling never fails to get me incredibly hyped up and I just get so overwhelmed and excited and emotional throughout the whole thing 😭😭
I had the same reaction with "The Rumbling". Although usually,as Eren is sort of the main character, it should get me hyped up for the rumbling and all thats coming with it, but for some reason it makes me emotional and uneasy, thats why I love AoT, and the discussions coming with it, there is no right or wrong, just ideals clashing
The 3rd ending gives me goosebumps every time, it's such a eary and creepy feeling, it feel almost like a bad dream, the music sounds baffled and the vocals are weird, it's so unsetling and that's what makes it so damn good, it feels and sounds like attack on titan should, and if you know all the lore behind ymir and the history of the titans it only gets darker and darker, this ending is simply perfect for what the show is about
23:24 The moment where Carlie and Ange “lose it all”.
Your reaction to “The Rumbling” is all I was expecting. Amazing! I absolutely love this intro!

GENIAL!! espere mucho ver su reaccion tanto a los opening como los endings, gracias por seguir esta hermosa serie con nosotros!
The english lyrics for the 3rd ending are also completely wrong. Granted, the correct ones make equally little sense.
Also, it's one of my favourites. I love the eerie vibe it gives out - I was completely freaked out the first time I heard it, and no other song's ever done that to me.
They have a weird accent but it's actually in English, ua-cam.com/video/j-c3HmDxBHA/v-deo.html,
I agree it doesn't make sense, they probably just made it to sound good.
Ending 5 is not in korean
I think you heard the word "naega" which is very much an overused word in a lot of korean songs.
But "negai" (ねがい) or "negaigoto" (ねがいごと) means WISHES in Japanese as it says in the subtitles.
Also the song literally starts with the sayonara so obviously its japanese.
But don't stop trusting your ears cuz you were right about most of the other things for example the key change and the opening and ending of season 3 part 1 having a similar section but slowed down
Ange: this song slaps dude
Carlie: i am crying againnnnn
back here again to watch this once more time, love to see ange going absolutely kid in a candy store mode when the rumbling hits, LMAO
I saw SiM perform “The Rumbling” live at Crunchyroll Expo, and by god was that an unearthly and amazing experience
44:20 I know I’m commenting a lot but right here is a beautiful reaction and I bet Carlie definitely understood what that meant

I only realized this cuz I’ve rewatched the episodes probably like 100 times now but in op 2 it shows hange’s eye being blown off 2 seasons before it happened

38:53 "this is korean"
me being korean: Did I forget my own language?
🤣🤣🤣 sorry!!! There are some similar sounding words. My mistake 😅
The song "name of love" is *not* in korean, is just japanese.
It's so cool how we can see your brain working behind your eyes, I can literally see how you follow the guitar riffs, especially at 31:35.
During the Rumbling you guys had the expression of two individuals attempting to contain their excitement and failing beautifully.
Super glad to see people appreciating Mr. Sawano, he's a literal genius
33:03 That's "YUGURE NO TORI". My favorite one.
You might want to listen to it again after the end of AOT I promise you the lyrics will blow you off !!!
It's like it was meant for the end of AOT, so poetic and relevant !
same!
the line "all i ever wanted to do is save your life , never wanted to grab a knife" refers to the kid eren saves mikasa from the bandits
That "Beware" scream whILE Eren transforms from kid to adult is so amazing and chilling EVERY TIME
They don’t have a skip intro option because these are ones you don’t skip lol.
So it's a little weird to me u guys say this now lol
Other thing about the whole " Eren treats Mikasa badly" is that no one ever mentions the way Gabi treated Falco or Ymir throwing Historia against a tree lol it's funny how it's always mentioned in regards to Eren/Mikasa and not everyone else's relationship.
I never take those scenes so seriously because on all those instances I've mentioned (including Eren and Mikasa's) they were no older than 15.
They were children who experienced incredibly traumatic events at their formative years, ofc they lack of emotional stability to develop correctly within their relationships
"The other side of the sea".(Warhammer titan OST) Best ost in this show, hands down imo! YSBG close second.
he stop it when she enjoy more and felling unu
(Also in the season 2 OP, despite Reiner and Bert being present alongside the Scouts earlier in the OP, when they show the Scouts lined up on top of the wall, guess who's missing)
I'm sure there is a ton more overall symbolism and stuff hidden throughout these which is really interesting to dive into
Funfact: Hiroyuki Sawano has also made one song for League of Legends. I've seen many League reactions on your channel that's why just mentioned it.
You should also react to Ashes on The Fire, it's my favorite OST
carlie and ange you really have to watch the full version of the rumbling you will love it so much!
Thank you for the months spent reacting to AoT specifically, I've loved every second of it, you guys are amazeballs! Also if you enjoy The Rumbling, you should check out the full version and do a reaction to it - Even more twists!
You two are such a genuine joy. I'm loving all your AOT videos. Please keep being you!
It's amazing that Eren's name is Jeager, wich means "hunter" in german.
When you know it, and you hear and read at 4:01 "We hunters/jeagers slaughter prey beyond the castle walls".... damn what a show....
i love how you guys took a lot of time and effort in making this an hour video. I really appreciate the thoughts and appreciation for these songs.
First intro with Beast:
Fans: Why are there dinosaurs in the opening?
Studio WiT: why are there dinosaurs in the opening?
Isayama: De Fuck?

I am Japanese born in Japan.
The edit was 100/100 keep up the amazing work 💜☺️👍🏻
Happy 1 million guys 🎉🎊🤗❤️
Thanks legend ❤️
@@CarlieAndAnge Aww! I can't believe this. it's my first reply ever 😍 thank you so much guys. I love you guys so much. And dont say I'm the legend. Please... You guys are the real legends 🙏❤️. I've watched your AOT and Haikyu reactions. They are awesome. I've to check out the other ones too. I feel sorry for myself for not finding this reaction channel sooner. But better late than never. And looking forward to your NARUTO reactions if it ever happens in this channel 🤗🙌
lots of epics soundtracks , i also love :
The other side of the sea
Ashes on the fire
footsteps of doom
The fall of marley v2 ( favourite of all )
That wasn't korean lol, everything is Japanesee
The scarf turning into bird actually means that, Mikasa is Eren freedom. For him the freedom means to live with her, which is sadly not possible😭
RIP BOZO
That's a Spoiler, you should hide it..
that has never been Eren's freedom, in-fact he ditched her all the time since he was a kid in pursuit of freedom basically going out of his way to not have a home with her
@@ulysses5439 my friend, you have not understood this show.
Tell me what is outside the wall that attracts eren as a freedom, his whole purpose is to save her and live with her, which you will see in upcoming season!
@@ractmo that is so cute.... 😭😭😭
Carlie & Ange making us cry for 58 minutes straight.
23:55 angelo trying to be chill and control the adrenaline boost his body has but still cant stop grinning
38:55 Ange!! That was Japanese lmao🤣🤣
Season 4 part 1 outro is so haunting it gives me full body chills every time
The part that sounds like a kid's voice is a vocal voice using a voice changer. This song is said to be influenced by the game “Trials of Mana”.
Just something that caught my eye:
In the full version of the first opening, the singer says "The world itself as Eren desires". Keep in mind that the song came in 2013.
44:23
LMAO look at angelo's reaction to the moaning of carlie 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Also, thank you for being music nerds and trying to go deeper into different aspects of the soundtracks, it's priceless
37:53 I LAUGHED SO HARD CUZ YOU'RE SO RIGHT!!!
The last opening made me super emotional the first few times I saw it. Gorgeous and bittersweet
