When I started lifting 15 years ago, Dan was one of the first I read. He's the GOAT! Glad to see him getting some well-deserved recognition.

How old are you, 17 ?
      Play minecraft also ?
Gonna call Dan "bro" next ?
      Where's your education ?

Thank you Juji. I don’t think Dan gets enough credit for his contributions to the strength and conditioning community as well as fitness community overall. His no BS, simple approach to life and training is much needed in 2024.

This conversation is gold from start to finish. Community is key: you rise and fall based on those who you surround yourself with. I played sports but never well. I started working out just to be fit when I was in my late 20’s and was lucky enough to befriend the guy who ran the corporate gym I had available to me. Made massive strides. Now I’m 50 and a small fraction of my peers can keep up with me. I’m working out and spend my time with the dads from church who are in their 30’s and 40’s. And we push and motivate eachother positively. I love it. And don’t pass over good in the search/pursuit for great. Set a schedule and work to stick to it. Again, my peers (late 40’s and early 50’s) roll their eyes at me for working out. But people want their choices to be validated by everyone else. That’s why you have the “delay questions”. Love this segment Juji and Dan!

Dan John is the man. I think the biggest takeaway is to just do something, even if it's 5 minutes a day and not optimal. That attitude is certainly paying off for me.

About the January people, the New Years resolution people. I decided to join the gym in December because I knew I was going to be around for the long haul (that's what I told myself and so far it's true) and we all know January people quit so clearly, I couldn't join in January.

Would love to see the audio from these conversations go up on Spotify/Stitcher/Apple Podcasts at some point. I enjoy hearing what your guests have to say, but I, for one, am completely uninterested in sitting and watching a video of two people talking for 60-90 minutes. Could be I’m the odd one out here, though.
