@Staying Sober winning an Oscar isn't much more impressive than getting nominated, a nomination is usually equivalent, the only difference is usually literally bribery, luck etc.
This is kind of a common view as well, hasn't exactly been fucked over by Hollywood when everyone has equal respect and high opinion of him with it without multiple wins.

That was the thing about working with Robin Williams, you never knew what the hell he was going to say or do next. Most of his lines as the Genie in "Aladdin" were also improv on his part. The animators had to re-animate part of the sequence because he went off-script so much, and finally the studio let him record his part and THEN they did the animation to match the recording.

This scene's already great, but serious props to the dedication by both the writing and Williams' acting to sell the idea that he's really doing this in '65. When he's pulling out such era-specific zingers like "The Wicked Witch of the North, Hanoi Hannah!" and "It's so damn hot, I saw this little guy with an orange robe burst into flame!" so damn quickly, it feels so authentic that it's like there's no separation of time from when the movie was made (1987) to when it's supposed to take place (1965).
