I just bought a 2017 altitude, I love it huge upgrade from my 2001 dodge neon, I’m a gigging musician so I needed a car with 4WD and more space and my Grand Cherokee is perfect. Absolutely love my car and loved the video!
I can give you a list too if you want one. I had a 2015 and it was a piece of shit. Bad handling, turning. So much plastic in the interior, I had a Limited model. Infotainment system is slow and looks old. The transmission sucks, whines and delays shifting all the time. The seats were uncomfortable. 40k+ Vehicle and the seats were shit. The brakes screech all the time since the day I bought it. By 65k miles I had to replace the PDC for $1500, the engine mounts are leaking ( Hydraulic fluid filled engine mounts ) I had a large evap leak, it needed a new thermostat, the ac intermittently started blowing warm. Lol, everyone mileage will vary but I worked for Jeep for 10 years. They are pieces of shit. They lead in no category. My aunts Chevy Equinox is nicer .
You should be using a parking brake on a hill. Place car into neutral place parking brake, let go of regular brake, let it settle then put on regular brake and put in park.
@@Teebiskit I’ve told my dad bout it but he said that it’s actually not good for the car for it stretches the e brakes wire he said it’s only meant for emergency supposedly idk

I love our 2021 grand Cherokee but same with the park sense especially with all this snow it got triggered trying to back out of our garage because of high snow. Thank you for showing how to turn off!
I would say another thing I hate about those is the stupid automatic stop/start which does not help you save on gas like the manufacturer says it’s just going to wear your started out prematurely.
Yeah they say it's built with a heavy duty starter in the book, but I agree. I just leave my auto off turned off. It's such a silly feature and even moreso that it's default is on.

I turned that stupid auto brake in reverse off as soon as I got my Ram lol. Backup cam is plenty good for me. Also, I’m sure torque is a huge factor with the lack in power you feel compared to the SRT.
Monocoque Body with Built-in Ladder Frame They say that superior off-road handling capability could only come at the expense of on-road smoothness. They have obviously never driven Grand Cherokee . By incorporating a lightweight and highly rigid monocoque body with a built-in ladder frame that provides added resistance to torsion and flexing and fixing them atop a dynamic independent suspension, Grand Cherokee achieves an unprecedented combination of all-terrain control and luxury-sedan comfort. For added durability, grand cherokee now makes more extensive use of galvanized steel body panels, while the new aluminum hood panel reduces weight for better handling. wk2 very durable strong suv!!
I love my Jeep but i hate the chrome and shining black on the dash, it reflects the sun and blinds me. I wish the would have used the brushed nickel like on the steering wheel. I bought some flat black matte paint and painted it. Much better, but hated to do it.
I once rented a Jeep Grand Cherokee, back around 2018. It was the worst modern vehicle I had ever driven, and the next day I took it back to the rental place and got something else. I could not feel the road at all. It was like flying a video game above the road. I never got the feel of the brakes, they didn't engage immediately and then locked, and it was hard to come to a graceful stop at a light. And, the engine hesitated when I started at a light. When I pressed the gas pedal, it was like it had to think for almost a second before going. I've never felt so disengaged from a vehicle. Was that just a weird Grand Cherokee? This vehicle wouldn't be so successful if this was normal.
Lmao it feels like it hesitates cuz the engine shuts off when at a stop. When you begin to move it restarts the car. It's a gas saving feature that can be disengaged. Learn the car you're going to drive 👍
Kinda curious what actual issues will hit this vehicle from major issues problems that mechanics can't seem to fix or find down to recall ( engine stalling, faulty wiring ect) my mom friend has a grand cherokee and has constant issues I believe is a 15 or 16
I’d like to hear something about the 4 x 4 system that comes with it TQ1 and a lot of people are saying that’s not good off road it’s basically an all wheel drive system
Jeep Grand Cherokees have always been my favorite SUV since I was a young child. I want one so bad! And I will eventually get one! :) I drive a Hyundai Elantra, which honestly has no horse power lol. So, 300 horsepower will probably knock my socks off haha.

The parking thing is bc the parking pin isn’t lined up properly to engage so the vehicle lunges to lock the pin in place
