Thank you for watching! It’s a beautiful area
Love the video. I have been wanting to check the buffalo out ever since I saw a picture of it.
It’s such a beautiful area, absolutely love it
Nicely done - enjoyed the vid
Thank you for watching!
That waterfall was awesome. Hope to see more kayak camping adventures this summer.
Yea that water fall is beautiful! Thanks for watching and I hope to have a few more also!!
Very cool man. Keep on keeping on!
Thanks a lot! Miss this place
Man what an amazing trip thanks for sharing! Hope to do this trip before too long. I’ll use your storefront for a while since you introduced me to this stretch of river!
Well that’s awesome of you, thank you!!
We just did Steel Creek to Kyle's Landing upper Buffalo. GREAT TIME ! we plan to do a 3 night camp off river this fall
Awesome! That’s a fun float for sure! We are doing a similar trip to that end of this month
@@TheBeardedBurton if you put in at steel creek, be prepared, the first 150 yards is a little sketch due to flooding changing some of the current pull directions lol about 30% made it thru without dumping it
Haha awesome, thanks for the heads up
Thanks for the share! We are preparing to do this trip...only two days on the river though but your info is super helpful! We are usually rzr riding in the Ozarks but invested in kayaks for Christmas gifts this year for our family of 5! Super stoked!
Awesome! We are sad we aren’t able to go on it our usual time because the river is all closed down right now with the covid stuff
WOW! Nice river. Amazing scenery, it's on my list now.
It’s an a amazing River
Absolutely well done, brother! Can't wait for part 2.
Thanks man, looking forward to seeing yours!
Love the vid! Looks like fun! We went this past October and stayed in a cabin in Jasper and the Buffalo River was awesome
Thank you for watching, it’s one of my favorite trips
Awesome video, can't wait for my kayak trip this year.
Thanks man! Get after it!!
Yes sir!! Great video man! Absolutely enjoyed that trip!!
Thanks man, had a blast! Can’t wait for the next one my friend!
I launched from this very spot and pulled off at kyles landing this past year or so. It was the first trip I brought my teenage son on. We also made the hike up to see the falls. This stretch of river as you talked about can be very volatile and not always possible to launch here. They almost didn't let us launch from here the day we went, the water was pretty intense at times. Later after we got out we heard just a couple hours later behind us the watershed from rainfall in the hills caused the river to rapidly raise to very dangerous levels stranding people out there taking shelter up the hills. I've also heard at times they won't launch from spots because it is too low. It is just all over the place as far as water level on this one, sometimes just hours apart. My take away from that experience was to watch the surrounding land going into my future floats and be aware of weather that might be going on in the surrounding area as well. Cetainly something I'll be thinking about if I decide to camp along side the river. Up here in NE Ok we don't see that happen so much on our rivers as the land lays more flat.
Absolutely, if you go back and watch the year before you can see us launching when we shouldn’t have, it was insane and really dangerous.
The Buffalo's a great river. Good climbing and amazing fishing.
Love that river
Congrats , and Great video! Keep them coming
Thank you so much for watching!
Lovely trip, great tunes!
Thanks a lot man!
Awesome! Ha I just noticed I have the same hat as you
It’s a good one!
Man some amazing scenery! Never even heard of this River. It’s epic! New subscriber here...
Thanks for the sub! Yea it’s an amazing area and I believe the first ever national river in the US!
That waterfall was awesome. We keep threatening to do a trip on the Buffalo, but have just never pulled the trigger. One of my paddling buddies has done it several times, we just never have all been able to commit. We typically make a trip each Spring Break to the South for some warm water paddling with the gators, down around Okefenokee and that makes it hard for all 7 of us to get together for another interstate trip later in the year. I’m subscribing so that I can see the rest of these videos.
Thank you for watching, it’s definitely some thing to try and get done, just amazing!
@@TheBeardedBurton Hopefully in the near future. May reach out to you for info. One o fly paddling buddies has just returned from his 41st trip out there to various rivers. He knows a good bit about the area and the rivers, but always nice o have more information.
Excellent video. Looks like a cool adventure. Subscribed.✌️
Thank you so much for the sub! I’m glad you enjoyed the video, that is by far my favorite area to explore and camp in!!
Want to show my support. Thanks for putting out your awesome videos!
Thank you man, means a lot!
Great video. Looking forward to part 2
Thanks a lot man! It’s coming end of this week!
Epic kayak trip bud! Love that scenery man. Way to cover some miles.
Thank you buddy, it was beautiful!
Interesting video. Thank you for sharing. I have subscribed your channel. I am looking forward to your new videos.
Thank you! Appreciate the support
Awesome video. Makes me want to start kayaking.
Do it man! It’s amazing!

Any kayak recommendations for a big broke fella?
@@TxBushcraft old town sportsman 120 is great and stable!
The orange black and grey yak needs a big “tigger” sticker on the side all jacked up with a vest on!!!!
Every year for the past 15 yrs, a group of us do a multi-day buffalo trip. From your other videos, it seems like we are always on within a few days of each other. the year of that big flood, that you all got flooded in Kyles landing, we were actually camped on a little way up the river after a late start. that next day it was crazy trying to get to kyles. last year was fantastic weather, the whole trip we were talking about its the best weather we have ever had. Keep up the good work on the videos, maybe sometime I'll see you out there. this year we are planning on starting on May 1st, 2020
Great video and journey and thanks for sharing! Can you tell me who is singing the song Waterslide?
It’s from Epidemic Sound, a royalty free music site
THIS. IS. AWESOME!
Thank you!
Went last year 3 day adventure. Cant wait for this year!!!!
It’s an amazing trip!
@@TheBeardedBurton it really is!!! I never new just taking a little float down a river could bring so much enjoyment and peace all together.
I love that place! Been many years since I have paddled it
It is just a beautiful area!
Great video. What is the name of that second song. Just a peaceful and relaxing video. Want tonkayak the buffalo in kayak. Keep up the good videos. New subscriber for sure. God Bless
Thank you for watching and subbing! I honestly don’t remember, it was a royalty free song from a website I bought it off of
Looks like a great trip! You all got down there early this year!
Thank you! Yea we had to get after it sooner cause of scheduling but it was worth it!
Just stumbled upon this video, amazing content and amazing trip ya got here. Any tips for a first time kayak camper? Keep the vids coming:)
Awesome, thank you for watching!
Spend the money on your boat first off then gear afterwards. Learn the water you wanna spend the most time on also
Looks like an awesome trip brother !!
Man it was amazing!
Damn... some of those views were just amazing.
Thanks for sharing your trip.
Thanks man! It’s a beautiful area
WoW , Its amazing, Wooooo there's more cant wait.🤙
Thanks a lot! Should have Part 2 up later this week!
Looks like a fun trip!
Thank you, it was awesome!!!
Loved This! I’ve canoed! But this! This is AMAZING!
Damn beautiful river
It sure is
The song people are asking about is “Waterslide” (tribute version); Artist is Loving Caliber...... Great choice for this video 👍🏻
Right which I got from Epidemic Sound with the licensing I pay for
Hey boss love the video. What was the name of the first park/area you where at? The one with the giant waterfall like 70feet up
That’s Hemmed In Hollow
Beautiful
It’s the most beautiful! Thank you for watching
I am planning on kayaking the Buffalo River in Tennessee it is 125 miles long. I was wondering how many days it would take to do it all at one time? It seems like a similar distance and scenery.
We planned for 6 days and were at our final camp the afternoon of day 4 with day 5 being a relaxed no paddle day
Looks like a fun trip. Good music too. :) Do you mind telling us who the music is by?
The music is from Epidemic Sound, a royalty free website I have a subscription to. I can’t remember the artists name just heard it and used it lol.
Thanks for watching!
That's too bad. I like it and I would like to find it. Oh well. Thanks for the reply.
Never been there...I want to go now....know anything about the fishing there?
Small mount and rock bass
Hey man, would you ever be able to share your pack list for this trip?
I'm looking to do this same trip soon and need some knowledge/assistance on what all should be on my list.
Hey thanks for reaching out and watching! So I have a video uploaded previously before this one quickly going over my gear. I also have a full playlist of a detailed break down of all my gear and food etc from the previous years. Just scroll through my channel and it’ll come up!
Great video
A group of us are heading out this weekend. How far did you make it from Ponca on the first day?
Hopefully the storms won’t be to bad Saturday
Hope everything went well for you all. I’m not exactly sure where but we covered around 27miles I believe
Camping by that waterfall !!! I would sleep like a baby!!!!, 💤
Can you tell me what time of year you did this? I’m getting ready to plan a trip down the Buffalo.
Is it required to pack the poop away in this area or are cat holes allowed? Thank you 😊
👏👏👏 Fantastic!
Thank you!
I’d like to know what kayaks you guys were using!
I used the Ocean Kayak Prowler Big Game II
Great river and nice video! Hello from Russia! 🤝
Thank you for watching!!
First video I’ve watched of yours! I just subscribed. Man!! This is beautiful country-an unbelievable river! Thanks for posting this and keeping me stoked
Thanks for subscribing and watching! Love that area!!!
Bro where are your fishing rods
You should try the saline river in se arkansas
What part of the buffalo is that waterfall at??
Im headed there in May for my first trip down the river would love to see that waterfall.
Oh hemden hollow.
Yea Hemmed In Hollow! Be sure to find it on GPS or map cause you’ll fly right by it! It’s about a 20 min hike from the river
Ok cool we are doing the lower wilds about 37 miles. But I'm getting there a day early to check out the surroundings.
What kind of boat are you using I use a discovery 169 right now because my dad comes along on most trips but I really wanna do solo trips.
Like 4-6 days what canoe do you recommend.
I was thinking a wenonah.
We yak kampin this weekend. 😁
Awesome! Hope it goes well for you!
I was there last summer. Brutally hot, but so beautiful!
Yes it can get hot lol! Thanks for watching!
Great river as long as you stay on the water or rocks because the amount of ticks is fucking crazy. I yaked 200 miles of the Ouachita river and saw insane amounts of spiders but no ticks
Hey! What sort of cover is the water slide song during the 4:19 mark? I like it.
No idea, was a song I got from a website I pay a licensing fee to for protected music on YT
Hey man, great video! what is the name of that song that was playing at Hemmed in Hollow?
Thanks for watching! It’s a song from a royalty free music site and is called Waterslide I believe
@@TheBeardedBurton Awesome, thank you so much. We are having a hard time figuring out if we can do the trip from Pocna to Gilbert in late Sept/early Oct. What do you think? Thanks so much for replying! Lines tight from South FL..
Top demais... Lindas imagens
obrigado por assistir, foi uma ótima viagem!
What month was this?
This was beginning of May. Your best months are always April-May before that and it’s too much rain after it’s not enough and you can’t go Ponca to White River
What kind of boat are you using in this video?
Any fish in that river?
Yes! It actually has over 70 species of fish, lots of bass, one of the most diverse rivers in North America for species.
What were the dates of this trip?
Beginning of May
wheres the water falls?
They are there for sure
Did that same river
It’s a beautiful area and my favorite to float!
😍
Thank you Pudding! Glad you enjoyed it!
@@TheBeardedBurton Oh, I did!
Food and water??
Water was from the river, too much weight to carry in boat. I used my Grayl Geopress filter for water. For food I used snack bars, mixed nuts, protein bars for breakfast/lunch and for hot meals at night for dinner I used PackIt Gourmet dehydrated meals.
Whose version of the song is this ?
It’s a band I found in Epidemic Sound with my creators license. I’ll have to check when I’m near my computer! Thanks for watching
@@TheBeardedBurton I think I found it. Thank you. Have a good one.
@@TheBeardedBurton Great video brother. Who is the music by? I would love to know.
Pretty views, but some of your camera work is making me a little sea sick.
Oh I’m sorry, pretty hard to have movie quality camera work while floating in a kayak and trying to film a FREE video for you to watch. Will try to do better next time lol
@@TheBeardedBurtonwife and I love the Buffalo river videos and your choice of music.
Shipps Ferry
Yep that’s where we landed! So actually further than 130
@@TheBeardedBurton I've done the Buffalo 7 times over the years. Sometimes all 120 miles always finishing at Buff City. Didn't even know about Shipps Ferry. Very good post!!
Video is nice but the music ruined the peaceful nature sounds!
