I havent been able to get out as much lately. I can feel, taste, smell and everything else about this video! Arkansas wilderness areas are such a distinct thing in winter. Thanks for the nostalgic start with my Sunday coffee!
Great Video. I was looking at the river level.. starting the day of your take-out, in 24hrs the river went from 155cfs to 1,430cfs! Wow. Ponca gauge. Now I need to rewatch your winter(?) trip of the entire Buffalo. I just remember you swamping at Clabber!
@@Jorlanshinkle thanks! Yea it’s crazy how much it fluctuates in short periods of time. That’s crazy! Haha yea it was winter then also. We were riding the tail end of some rain/snow, so we were able to keep up with good levels. But yea I still think back to that day at Clabber haha. Great memories!
Yea I was glad to catch it! We didn’t get in till late so when I setup the timelapse I wasn’t sure what all I’d be capturing with the movement of the sky. So that was a cool surprise. Glad you liked it!
It’s truly a gorgeous river! Yea I’ve always been fascinated by that old cabin structure. If I remember the history of it correctly, it was build in the later part of the 1800s. It’s so cool to imagine what life must have been like living in it! Very cool spot for a cabin.
Wow!! That was some pretty technical stuff tgere!! Loved this weekend adventure here! Bald eagle, mountains... I loved that tarp setup! Still haven't finished watching your green river series yet. Take care and thanks so much!! NQU
Yea those rapids are fun! And they change so much depending on the water levels. Thanks! So glad you enjoy watching these! It really was a great balanced weekend trip. That tarp was fun for sure. Hey, also! I got one of those stick stoves you told me about. I meant to use it on this trip, but we ended up being a bit rushed that evening we got into camp and I didn’t end up getting to try it out. I’m really excited to use it! I’m sure you’ll start seeing it in the videos soon :) Thank you for watching these! I hope you enjoy the rest of the Utah trip!
It was sitting around 2.9ft at the Ponca gage. That’s about as low as I want to paddle it though. If you can catch it around 3.5ft a lot of those rapids are way more fun. A lot of them were just exposed at 2.9ft and made for some lining and dragging.
The Ozarks are so beautiful
@@stevenrush9862 they sure are!

Beautiful! Just look at those mountains surrounding the river... and nice combo with the hike in ❤
It was so pretty! As much as I love the full foliage too, the lack of leaves made up for incredible views. Thanks for watching along!
Maaaan, this was dope!! Can’t wait to get back out to the BNR once it cools down a bit. Such a beautiful place
@@Morgan.Bentley thanks man! Me too! It’s my favorite time to be out there!
Good run...

Stunning scenery! Loved the old house foundations right on top of the River!
