You are correct. It is capable of bringing out just the shittiest sides of human nature. Cocaine can make a person more volatile but alcohol is the worst.
The problem is, unfortunately, mostly political. The VAST majority of the US population favors legalization of most drugs. Yeah at the same time for most people its easy to look at him an just think what an idiot, but i got real sad imagining how he probably feels waking up the next day sober.
This is why you should avoid bars. There are always so many idiots who cant control their drinking and just become nothing but trouble. I am a heavy person and i got up to take a leak at a bar one time. Once i came out i walked past a group and the shortest one of the group grabbed my arm and said "whats up fatass". Sheriff Grady Judd is still at the top of his game. Doing these press conferences and the way he presents them is brilliant. He has a great personality.

Am I missing something here? Why are people helping a drunk person to get to their vehicle? I would have called the police and said that there's a drunk guy just about to get in his vehicle and drive away.
@Zed Carr, maybe they were aware that he is one of the many who can safely drive after consuming alcoholic beverages. Every day, there are many who do, and they never are reported because they don’t make for a good story that the corrupt corporate owned media would tell to counter the fallacy that no one should drink and drive!
His defense attorney will totally blame the bar for over serving. And yes, makes no sense to put a clearly over intoxicated person behind the wheel of a vehicle.

Things escalated but then he bought them a round of drinks and all was ok the gentlemen moved away but the guy wanted to sit with them. They didn’t want his company. But in his drunken state he’s like “hey I bought you all drinks and now you don’t want me here” that’s why he gets so offended when I’m reality he’s just being a douchebag. Drunk or not I just don’t see why anyone would so needlessly throw their life away. I bet he had a shock when he woke up the next morning and realised the full extent of what he’d done and the repercussions of what he’d done
@Dan I used to go out drinking quite a lot and I’ve seen this scenario so many times. It’s very hard to reason with someone that’s very drunk. To be fair, most of the time they don’t realise how overbearing and annoying they’re being because they’re so drunk. They genuinely think their behaviour is ok and that’s where the problem starts because when they’re told to leave or people give them the cold shoulder they think the people are being rude and horrible not realising that it’s actually them that’s the problem. 9 times out of 10 they then become aggressive and then the trouble starts unfortunately
But this guy will be acquitted. Seems pretty simple, because the guy in the bar actually fired the first shots. It is hard to claim self defense when you come out of the bar and fire at this guy. This guy even though he is an idiot, he could rightfully claim he was defending himself.

He is a self-serving grandstander who is part of the problem with such widespread gun violence in this country bc he never concludes that these guns are the common denominator in all the horrific things he reports. He also colors cases unfairly against certain defendants with his assertions that are based on the flimsiest of evidence, mostly hearsay, if even that. This is exactly why I keep my butt away from bars and nightclubs. I'm older in age now but in my younger days there was always trouble at a bar or nightclub. Only difference is that they were usually solved with fists and not knives or guns and after it was done they both made up with a beer.
I'm so glad the local law enforcement did not try and charge these bikers for defending themselves simply because they were at a bar having beers.. In 95% of the rest of the country you'd be jailed simply for carrying a weapon while under the influence of alcohol. It is clear this man and his department in Florida understand that SELF DEFENSE IS SELF DEFENSE, no matter what state you are in..
Well depending on the situation, the one who passed could have possibly been charged had he not passed depending on where he was at in the establishment prior to the actual shooting because in Florida, it actually is illegal to be in possession of a firearm while at a bar even if you are not drinking and that applies to bar area's of restaurants too. That place being a "Bar and Grill" would all depend on where he was at within the establishment. To give you an example, if you have a CWP / CWL in Florida, and you go into say an Applebee's, you can sit in the regular restaurant area booths and tables legally with the firearm but you can not sit in the bar area and that means at the bar itself or at the high-top tables within that area. If you are in what is considered the bar area as a patron, you are in violation of FL Statute 790.06(12)(a)12 which states, *_"12. Any portion of an establishment licensed to dispense alcoholic beverages for consumption on the premises, which portion of the establishment is primarily devoted to such purpose;"_* *EDIT:* Fixed text formatting and it should be noted that final and formal charges come for the State Attorney which if anyone else had guns on them an they were considered to have been in a portion of the premises that is a "Bar", the State Attorney could still press charges (not that they should IMHO because its all self defense, but still could).

While it almost goes without saying that it is not for everyone, for others, those situations, like war, are the most magnificent competition one may engage in, the acid test of manhood, chastising what is false and base in character, and revealing and refining all that is virtuous and noble, compared to them, all other forms of human competition-generally speaking-shrink to insignificance! How I love it!

If she seen someone was bothering the guys or their gf/wives, she'd quickly step in. I never understood why some guys would try to be heros, they had nothing to prove bc no one cares. It's all ego & the club guys always minded their own bc being loud, etc attracts unwanted attention. And yet other people would be a bother in other ways, just like kissing up for no reason. These guys usually just want to be left alone to hang with their friends and gf/wife like anyone else

I bet he had a shock when he woke up the next morning and realised the full extent of what he’d done and the repercussions of what he’d done

He is right
@Dan I used to go out drinking quite a lot and I’ve seen this scenario so many times.

During this video UA-cam gave me my first ever "liquor add" what a coincidence ..
It's a real shame, someone died for nothing and someone spends the rest of their life in jail. I hope both find peace.
nothing shaneful about sending that animal to a cage for the rest of his pathetic life, nothing at all........what IS shameful is that there are those who think that it is.....i hope the bastard finds misery the entire time.
Save your empty thoughts and prayers.
I really don't give two shits about either of them. Just a story to hear.
maybe its time to ban guns? the whole world is laughing at you and ur gun laws ! school shootings daily u get random episodes like this causing death and destruction maybe its smart to do like any other country in the civilized world and ban guns?
@Lonely Warrior turns out when you run TOWARDS people with a gun and fire first.. its not lol
These stories are so valuable. Thank you for your work - very important to keep people informed
This guy needs his own youtube channel. I mean the cop, not the suspect
I have mad love and respect for this sheriff...he sounds like a very reasonable man who wishes well for everyone in this world. This world needs more human beings like this man hig up to you sir, may you and your family live a long healthy life, Amen. ❤ from 🇵🇰
Feel better, Sheriff.
This is exactly why I keep my butt away from bars and nightclubs. I'm older in age now but in my younger days there was always trouble at a bar or nightclub. Only difference is that they were usually solved with fists and not knives or guns and after it was done they both made up with a beer.
Liquid bravery. Respect is earned not demanded. Have never understood bar fights. What on earth could be so urgent that one cannot just walk away?
If you are in what is considered the bar area as a patron, you are in violation of FL Statute 790.06(12)(a)12 which states,
*_"12. Any portion of an establishment licensed to dispense alcoholic beverages for consumption on the premises, which portion of the establishment is primarily devoted to such purpose;"_*
*EDIT:* Fixed text formatting
and it should be noted that final and formal charges come for the State Attorney which if anyone else had guns on them an they were considered to have been in a portion of the premises that is a "Bar", the State Attorney could still press charges (not that they should IMHO because its all self defense, but still could).
The sheriff sounds like an attorney with a prepared defense.
@Universe Soul idk about that. I’m still amazed supposed gang members drinking in a bar weren’t given a slap for having the gun. I’m assuming maybe even felons too
@Universe Soul 🤡
@Universe Soul That’s such BULLSHIT! I’m speaking from personal experience, so I find your comment EXTREMELY offensive.
This is why i haven't been in a bar in 4 years, there was a huge fight between 30 people, it was i was scared to death because the bar is not that big,i made it out the door and never went back
@Max Punkin, what you described is one of life’s greatest and most memorable moments, an absolutely splendid opportunity to practice the tactics taught by Detroit Urban Survival Training and hone those skills and techniques that are intelligent options that increase survivability in those circumstances.
There are hundreds of bars in Polk County, and this is the first shooting I've heard of in years. So the "This is why..." statement is nonsense.
@@jrvane11 well i don't live in polk County, was a good way to keep me from drinking, so did this is why is not nonsense, being in bars is nonsense
@@Alahulapuuloakealahelenokaahu I’m dead lmao
@Alexander Emelianov i am sorry for your loss
Intoxication and firearms aren’t a good combination
I worked as a bouncer for several years, majority of fights and night life violence are usually over nothing and can be avoided. The problem is when you get alcohol it brings out the worse in people. Very dangerous situation
Just Patrick Swayze them?

I'd NEVER had a night club, bar, or pub with any alcohol license 📑 with no sworn LE officers, deputies. Alcohol and drugs can create lethal events. I'm a licensed security officer, D-G armed in Florida. I avoid bars, restaurants, lounges.
When men are insecure they are itching to prove to someone how tough they are. It's very pathetic. If you come at me with physical aggression I'ma double that back at ya, anything else I'll be the first give a warm apology and move a long. Too many angry losers in this world, with the stupidity to match it.
Yep if all bars where coffee shops (the Amsterdam kind) this would be less of problem for sure
I'm shocked this Sheriff has been allowed to expose the evils in this world...this is unheard of in today's society. Wow
He wouldn't be able to without Ron Desantis in charge. A democrat Governor would shut him down.
What the hell are you talking about?
@@hmbpnz which rock do you live under?
It's Florida...where truth & facts are still a virtue.
SUNLIGHT IS THE BEST DISINFECTANT
I love how this cop fully explains the situation & is never biased, just tells it like it is 💯…
right. He doesn't have an airy fairy prepared speech written by some bureaucrat.
yap, and no political correctness bs
That's because it's whites, in a PRO GOP place
He speaks like he's talking to a bunch of 3 year Olds...weirdoooooooo
No, he's quite biased.
The Sheriff’s briefings would be good for young people to listen to. Here is how your life can completely unravel due to bad choices
or we could just invest way more money in education, daycare, mental health and substance use
@@robertsaget6918 how do we get adults to become responsible parents when they have children? Probably a very tough cycle to break
"We will see you the next time somebody does something really stupid."
Painfully to hear but very realistic. I don't blame guns. I blame our lack of respect for one another.
Yeah, don't blame guns at all, because if the guy didn't have a gun, he'd have just shot the other guy with his goddamned finger. Outstanding logic.
@@acroyerx1193 Or Stabbed him with a knife like how the UK is doing. lol then soon it'll be banning fists.
Kyle you sound like a coward just like the punk in the video
@@acroyerx1193 495246 Absolutely , those guns just randomly get up , load themselves and go shoot others...not the criminals and murderers who don't follow gun laws.
When destructive alcohol is the designated legal recreational kick back on every corner and establishment in the country instead of other less destructive ones... this is what you get
Sheriff Judd thank you for setting the example on how to conduct and handle your position to other cops to follow.
Love this guy fair but serious we need more officers like him
We need more prevention
Yes sir!! Beer and guns coupled with stupidity and unwarranted anger. What more can we say.
The man and the legend that is Sheriff Judd. Watch his videos and learn. 🏴👍🏼
It is nice to hear that the motorcycle enthusiasts did everything they could do within their power to not physically interact with the instigator. Glad to know that the stupid ass will be doing quite a few years in prison.
hopefully anyway... if they pulled up to a million dollar home, dude probably has money, and its also probably why he thinks he can get away with this kinda bs... I know people like this, I used to work at a handful of night clubs and would encounter them all the time. They have money and walk around throwing their weight around thinking they can just do whatever they want.
As someone who was with someone in a very well known motorcycle club, I can't even tell you how many times we'd be out, usually after an event or just hanging out and decide to go to a local watering hole and someone like this guy starts doing exactly what this guy did. I've seen it a million times in the 4 yrs I was around. We'd actually hang out at a known "lesbian" bar and this is exactly the reason, no one bothered the guys there, the woman that owned the bar made sure of it, and was really cool.
Not so sure about this guy getting a lot of Time.we’ll see what happens at and after trial.
I think FLA.has a strict Capital murder code...as in leathel injection.
@@SWATT101 this won’t be a capital murder in the end.
The way this sheriff relays the events that unfolded is incredible
You can tell when an American is commenting, always using overinflated adjectives to describe things i.e. "incredible", "unbelievable", "awesome", "extremely","terrible", "horrible" while merely describing something above average or good. This is why most of what is said is hollow because of overuse of hyperbole talk. Your comment thus seems hollow and meaningless.
Genius: "hey, there's a motorcycle gang, Lemme go f with them"! 😅
We need law enforcement like this man in Canada.

No, Canada doesn't have America's "diversity"...yet.

Sad for the people who lost their life over something so stupid. You are free to make your own choices you are not free from the consequences of those choices.
You're also not free from the choices of others.
Somebody please inform the crooked politicians of that.

That's true.its what the new age can't understand.when consequences come.they can't handle it
I’m not comfortable praising this sheriff to be a saint, because I don’t know how he is off-camera or in his private life, but from his press conferences, I can tell that he is a smart man and does a great job of informing the public. And I respect him for that.
I agree but it’s important to note we have no way to ever know people’s home lives so it’s just a bit comforting to see
He's pretty consistent across all public venues. He's frequently invited to church & charity events as are his sheriff's.
If you're in polk county... you know someone that knows him personally if you don't know him yourself. You need to talk to him, you can easily do so.
He also prosecuted his sheriffs is they break the law.
That's all you can really ask for.
Think you're right. Praising a person for doing their job confidently is probably a bit much. (I probably would've said 5 yrs ago) jk. not really.. Anyway, off camera I'd say hes a good dude. I have no idea really, but I do know without a good/stable personal life, it is incredibly difficult to meet the criteria to attain and work a similar position such as his correctly. As I think he does as the way in which this sheriff conducts himself throughout these public conferences is exemplary.
𝘽𝙤𝙣𝙪𝙨 𝙞𝙣𝙛𝙤!: The word 'saint' is the Greek derivative of 'sanctified' and 'holy'. Also, if Sheriff Judd is a Christian or if you know of any Christian(s) that deserve your praise, be it for doing Gods work or being a pillar of the community: whatever you deem worthy; It's all good, because, Christians are saints by virtue of their connection with Jesus Christ.
I wish we had more officers like this gentleman he's the real deal! Sorry for those poor guys!
"We'll be back when someone else does something stupid" 😂 I love this sheriff, at least he has a good sense of humor about the situation.
