Been listening to Ice T since the 80's. Remeber the first body count song in the early 90's on his rap album. He used to have like a metal influenced song on quite a few of his rap albums back in the day. Was really cool. I think the first body count song that was on Ice T's rap album was there goes the neighbourhood. in 1990 ish.
They call the White guitarist "Juan of the Dead". He's actually the rhythm guitarist. The second vocalist is actually the bass player. He goes by "Vincent Price". Ice-T and Treach directed of the video.
At my 15 years old in Portugal. I use to hear Body Count the Ice T Band all his album songs are amazing but the song " There goes the neighborhood" it's simple dope you guys gonna love it. it was from the 90s when there was even more police brutality that's what it represents and the stereotypes for being black.
I loved Body Count in the 90's (I wore their album out), so seeing a 2017 date on this one makes me smile. The one in the 90's is a bit filthier though (that was also the one that got the band into a bit of trouble for "Cop Killer") lol
Body Count is awesome, yes formed by highly talented rapper/actor/social-commentator Ice-T. They have an amazing original song, "All Love Is Lost" (2017), which is simply chilling metal -- musically and lyrically...absolutely savage...you definitely need to check it out (but be warned, R-rated lyrics for certain...it has to be, for the dark emotion conveyed).
Their Grammy Award winning song, Bum Rush, is amazing. Even better "Point the Finger" featuring Riley Gale (RIP) of the Power Trip (RIP). Also, "This Is How We Ride" is a slow but, powerful song.
I know at least one U.S. Marine who claimed that their unit cranked "Turn On The Action" by Dokken when going into combat exercises (voluntarily chosen by the unit), so...probably. 🤘
Check out Body Count ...'Cop Killer'....don't be afraid of spreading the truth. The song might sound harsh, but it won't kill you.....unlike some cops.
You should definitely try some original Body count songs. They won a Grammy for the song called Bum Rush a couple years ago. Great political song about current times, Ice T is real on this one. Greet guitar solo on it too. They got a new album coming out this summer too. Ice is a legend.
It was indeed me that made the request, I looked it up in our IG chat, great reaction
