Thanks! We are trying out here! Actually re shot the driving stuff because the audio sucked but we figured out how to record direct to the mics and it's good.
@@StayTunedTA if you've learned anything from MT it's that audio is actually more important than video. Anytime you do something that is either sketchy, expensive, time consuming or something you get one shot at you should have backup cameras/audio rolling.
Absolutely loving the variety and progression of quality with the channel! My most bizarre vehicle purchase also had the “second in line” guy looking at the car with me. The seller tried to get us to outbid each other after I’d brought cash for the asking price. I told him I didn’t come for an auction and left. Seller called me as I pulled into my driveway saying the other guy didn’t have the money and he felt bad enough that he trailered it to me lol
Man I hate people turning up and bartering only to tell you they don't have the cash on them right now, just had it happen with a trailer. Bloke beat me down from $550 to $400 bucks then says he'll come back with the cash later. No you won't fella, next guy in line paid $500.
Wheel refurb is a great call. I think what buyers want the most these days is a well-preserved, unmodified example. Stock wheel finish will bring this right back to that.
9964s is a future classic! Best looking 996 with that wide body still one of the best rear ends of all time. 50k easy by 2023 if you are not in a rush keep it a bit.
Ha! My folks bought a Honda 600 Zed Coupe in 1972. We called it the Lil Blue Bootie. I got to drive it once I turned 16 in 76. Fun little car rolling on tiny 10 inch wheels. Great to see you had a yellow one.
Love this, Tony. I enjoy your down to earth perspective, driving an awesome car, that's not priced into the stratosphere. I also bought a higher mileage Porsche for a relatively low price. All of a sudden, I've had it for 10 years now! It's been an amazingly reliable car and has given me tons of joy.
I hate black wheels. It's kinda like people just give up when it comes to picking wheels. I know you'll do right by refurbishing them or replace to silver or dark gold would be cool 😎. Great job Tony, love to see more videos from you & you're sister. Gary from Harrisburg PA
What? No chest pressing transmissions in parking lots under pressure? What kind of show is this? Lol! Good quality sound on this one. Looking forward to the Pontiac!!
Personally I’d list higher just because the vehicle market is so hot these days…I’d list at 40k and remember Tony, you can always lower your price to get to the 36k mark your after, but you can’t go up in price normally after you listed it…and at 40k I feel like you can enjoy it on the occasional Sunday drive still for a minute until it does sell
As a German I wanna personally thank you for actually saying Porsche instead of Porsch. :) Good luck with the sale, a 993 would be great as the next one. Cheers
I always enjoy watching you drive around, Tony, because its like getting to visit home! Grew up in SE PA, so every one of those roads looks sooooo familiar.
Frank Rizzo I saw a tv ad for the "new" season of HRG and the picture they showed was of Tony and Lucky and I'm like what's the deal.? I thought they had replaced Tony with Alex Taylor.
My father owned a foreign car repair shop, raised around many Porsches. My father loved Porsche’s high rpm “small” engine screaming, being my father’s son, my favorite Porsche is one LS swapped…
A little off topic, but I just wanted to say I liked the way you guys filmed this vid. The drive by shots actually worked really well mixed with the walk around and driving. Good job T/A 👍🏻👍🏻
That paint correction is damn good. Love hearing it rip around the back roads while you give us down low. Those wheels are about the only sore spot. Once those are addressed I think a low 30's is sound. It's summer, someone out there will have the itch.
The content was always bangin, but you guys kicked the production up a few notches with the videography and sound. Great work and awesome seeing this channel come up big guy
Hello neighbor, When I start working on my 66 Chevelle I know who to call! I saved and watched the HRG show when you guys upgraded Lucky's 66 It gave me some ideas!
The car looks awsome but i think if you smoked the side marker lights dark and the tail lights and head lights just lightly the car would look awsome. Also a aftermaket set of wheels wouldmset the car off. Nothing crazy just a clasy set of wheels
Wouldn't a 930 Turbo the the ultimate hooligan death-mobile? If I was 20 YO and loaded I would probably get one of those and promptly wrap it around a tree. Why have 320 safe HP when you can have 600 terrifying HP?
The ims all the time that ain't sheet it's the cats that you need to worry about 9200 for cats and oxygen sensors if you have cores otherwise add 6000 more if you go stock
I think you would have definitely enjoyed a 996.2 2S a lot more; they’re lighter than the 4S model and handle better from what most say. I miss the 996.2 2 I had out of any other car I’ve owned before.
you did really well buying the car for what you paid for it. Additionally you have done all of the right things to get it to sell. Add to that the provenance of being owned by Tony Angelo I think you're in the right ball park at $35'ish. It might be interesting to see what the car will do on an auction forum like carsandbids.
As a GM dealership tech, it blows my mind when someone autorizes a like 10 hr job. Like, just got a 9.8 hr job today. 139/hr is 1,360 in labor alone. Like. Shit man.
Tony is smart to look at this car as a financial vehicle (see what I did there) as he has the knowledge and skill to repair them and sell as the market heats up for the weaker years that have growth left in them. Better to sell to someone that will put up with the high maintenance costs and not hold on to it. Porsche's are for trading not keeping.
Great car. I thought I was going to do the same when I bought my last 911 and sold it, made 15k, bought my 930 as a roller but now I’m buried….oops 😂. Also if you’re out in Philly you should come run the WV roads with us sometime.

I am with you. Don't get the black wheel thing. Black wheels look good on nothing.
I own the same 996. Its all black including black wheels and I love it. I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

From what I have seen on the auction sites as of late. 42.5 would be a good starting price. These cars have been putting up good numbers.

With some proper tuning you can get rid of the drive by wire disconnect your feeling. This is also seen on the Audi and VWs from the same generation.

I second that.
Manual 4s coupes are selling for $100k - $120k at the moment in Australia
Awesome awesome awesome! Stick the nice 997 shifter in there 👌🏻

Glad you’re sorting the wheels out mate.

What is the Porsche logo in the back? I thought it may be an engine cover or something then when you brake it slides out of the windows reflection.
