- Speed and elegance are the name of the game with this Scott Spark. The new SRAM XX SL Eagle Transmission provides top-end performance worthy of a World Champion. To manage fatigue broaden the abilities of this bike we built it up with Level Stealth two piston caliper brakes for the long descents and a RockShox Pike for when trails get rough and chunky. With this bike there are no guarantees that you'll be able to ride like Nino or Kate, but you'll look the part.

And now you want to take your back wheel out for transport, then the derailleur goes limp again and now you need to know exactly how to reinstall it?
No, the setup process is actually positioning the silver inner plate against the frame; this will not move after the derailleur bolt is tightened. This is also why the axle must be lose during installation. The silver inner plate is what allows the "crash protection" feature, whereby the derailleur can be forced backwards by 10 or so degrees. When the axle is out, it can flop around by this same amount, but in normal use it does not pivot forward of back except at the main clutch.
