I am from New Orleans and was in Humble for my son's graduation from High School at NRG. We stayed at the Hampton Inn. The other two hotels next to us were flooded, but the Hampton Inn sat much taller than them. When I left on 5/29, the water was up to the top of the windows of the first floor guest rooms in the Marriott next door. Wow. I felt for all the guests of the hotels and the area residents that had to evacuate! So glad we were high an dry at the Hampton Inn! This is some really great footage of the flood! Thank you for posting! The kids live in Kingwood with their dad, and they are also high and dry. Thank you, God, for answered prayers!
I live in the townhouses that are shown at 3:31. The water came right up to just below our decks and front stoops, but didn't come in the buildings. We were little islands. Good footage!
Well done this week. We are appreciative of this kind of local reporting. Did you get the drone any further down Hamblen to the NCA building? It is the high place in the area. I'm curious how high it got there.
It's just unreal! Thanks for sharing all of this. Did you happen to get any more footage of Kings Harbor on Sunday too? Heard the WLH bridge from Atascocita into Kingwood was closed and they were doing evacuations by boat of the Kings Harbor area.
I'm just glad to help. Unfortunately I was unable to get out to the Harbor on Sunday. The bridge was indeed closed due to flooding up to the YMCA, and the Harris County Sheriff's Department marine unit was out rescuing people. I didn't want to get in their way!
Great video. I live in North Texas but my family lives there. Having been through a few of those floods, this is a great different perspective. Thanks. What kind of drone? Seems like you have a good up time with it. Keep up the great work.

Thanks for the kind words, and I'm glad you and your family made it through alright. Congrats to your son!
Thank you for this outstanding service to our community.
I'm just happy to be able to help out. Thanks!
Just wanted to say thanks for your ingenuity. Much better coverage of the area, than even the local news stations.
Thank you! In fact, this footage was used by some local news stations, including KHOU11!

Great videos!
Thank you!
Great video, wish you could have recorded West Lake Houston and neighborhoods around the golf course.
Good job!
Want to see Costco / Target and the WLH Bridge again!

Do you have any footage of the hotels? I saw a guy with a drone there, don't know who he was.
