Great vid! My move to the ph's is getting ever closer, and the info greatly appreciated. Malaybalay is my #1 pick so far for a new home. Thank you Nate!
Scotty (Regular Guy) said there’s 5 hospitals in MALAYBALAY. Making a video on access to healthcare there would be very helpful to many of us and would probably get good views over time cause every travel eventually gets sick. Just a suggestion. Love your channel, bro. Great info! Keep it up! Thank you!!
I'm glad you turned me on to them. I've probably gone back 4 or 5 times since then. Lol. What was the name of the car rental place you used? Do you remember?
@@expatlifestyle2000 I didn't rent a car , too expensive and sadly no scooter for rent there. Actually that's the main reason I didn't stay longer, found it difficult to travel around the area to search for land for sale. Keep up the good work on the vlogging it's really good content and highly appreciate the effort it takes to produce. Interested to see where you head down the path next 😁
I really like the variety of hotels in Malaybalay! Has more variety than anywhere in the US. I get a real kick from the ones with the Bucket shower and Air Con or just a Fan at best! But You cant beat the Price anywhere! I like the ones with the windows and balcony. Malaybalay will always be my Paradise for sure.👍
Another winner Nate..... So as compared to say Iloilo City, because you did an extended stay there as well, what are your thoughts ? Apartment costs, food, culture, activities, weather..... Stuff like that... Like someone else mentioned, your work for the PI tourism bureau is outstanding..😂😂
I've been collecting videos of the pizza places for 2 months now. I love pizza so much you would think I was a ninja turtle...instead I'm just fat. 🤣 😂
@@expatlifestyle2000 very kind! I just texted Grayson hotel And I am waiting to hear back from them. I'll see if I can find their email address because I do not do Facebook.
Excellent. I hope they can help you out. If all else fails, you can just show up in person. They are very used to that. Feel free to tell them I sent you. 😉
Hello Nate, great and informative video, thank you Sir. I tried to reply to another commentor re a mutual interest in gardening, growing tomatoes, on another bit older video, my reply kept getting removed by this platform for some reason. Hopefully he sees this and realises I was not ignoring him. Look forward to your eatery video, great stuff, thanks again. God Bless and take care👍👍
Thank you for your kind words. Hopefully he does. I'll hopefully be able to feature some of the farming over the next few months. I have quite alot of plans in the works. Bless you too.
Lived in Davao for 7 years but Malaybalay was never mentioned by any friends but of course I knew of Bukidnon..What does a single man do in Malaybalay?Seems to me if your wife or online dating GF is from there it might be worth a visit but im thinking you would run out of things to do fast and make weekly runs to CDO.... The temps are nice with not much traffic I can see but I think there is not much to offer for western single guy living quarters?
Hello. 👋 It is extremely easy to find a wife here imo. The online dating scene not so much. I'm a bit of a home body/internet guy so it's fine for me to not go out on an adventure every day. Stay tuned into my videos and I'll be showing off more off of the area. Honestly if I can get my own transportation it will open up a whole world of possibilities. For the last 3 months I've been occupied with public transportation alone...
This is a really great video I'm not in the Philippines yet but I hope to come there soon and I would love to find a place reasonable to stay like these places do you have any other suggestions
Great video and much appreciated. I'm hoping to visit Malaybalay when I travel to the Philippines to do some recon in hopes of retiring there. I noticed some wall crawlers once or twice in your video. Is that universal for hotels there, and the Philippines in general, or are there hotels where that's not going to be an issue? I don't want to swallow a creepy crawly while I'm sleeping, if I can avoid it. :) TY
Thank you and I have enjoyed making them. Ants are everywhere in the philippines. The small red ones bite surprisingly hard and the black ones are pretty harmless. Other bugs are hit and miss. My last apartment had ants and a few spiders but my new place is 100% bug free.
@CanadaSteve I'll also make sure to keep an eye open for them in my future apartment and hotel review. I guess I've been here in se asia so long I overlook alot of stuff like that.
@@expatlifestyle2000 I was there last month 😅 but I didn't get the chance to meet Vanessa.. ohh yeahh sooo many places to explore in the Phils .. enjoy! 😃
@KATHERINE-so5di you missed out. Vanessa is a sweetheart. I feel like I could spend my whole life wandering around the philippines and still not see it all. Are you planning any exploration of Mindanao?

Hey Nate, big fan of your work! Coming for two weeks in november. Seriously considering retiring in malaybalay. How do I talk to you offline about that? Thanks Tony
Nice. I'll be excited to meet you when you come into town. I'll be pumping out even more videos about Malaybalay for you. Livestreams are best to jump in on as many have the same questions as you, Im sure. Or you can email me.
Excellent video! Very useful. Great how the front desk staff gave their greetings. Charming. Full length mirror "for TikTok dances" Ever the diplomat! Judy was a doll! Should I bring my own toilet seat when traveling in the Phillipines???
@stevenr1354 Thanks Steven. The folks here are so friendly and accommodating. The toilet seat depends on your accommodation. Sub $10 a night rooms you better bring one with you.
@expatlifestyle2000 Sorry I put my comment below another viewer's! I'm sure your polite and charming manner is part of the equation as well. You're a great representative of our country.
Pretty good. Still hot from like 11-4. It's been raining in the late afternoon and early evening really Cooling everything down. At night it's a fan and windows situation with some covers imo.

😂 ain’t that the truth. This is Irene BTW!
Thanks Roger. You are the man!
@mindanaoan maybe when I meet with the tourism board they will have alot to offer. 😀 I tried today but they had a seminar that they were attending.

By the way the first hotel is a typically WAY over priced hotel like most in the RP....
Out of my budget 4 sure.
