Due to super high prices people have been asking me for months for a video to save money on hotels, so if you enjoyed this video, please give it a THUMBS UP as it helps me in the UA-cam algorithm and subscribe! What are some of your cheap hotel secrets?? Comment Below! 👇🏼
Love it thank you! My girls use the have app for Vegas regularly to no one has gotten a bit compt like you and you lovely wife. Love to her other great ideas for Vegas as I really want to go myself.. in town deals while your there, car rental, shows etc etc 😊 as always GREAT JOB, AGAIN THANK YOU💞
I've worked in hotels for 20 years and these are legit. Usually these kinds of titles are clickbait with super-obvious "tips" like, "check prices online!", but this was the real deal.
I watch travel videos all day and have learned a few things but this has been a really good video. I'm getting ready to watch it again and put it in to practice. If you have any additional tips I'd love to hear them!
I love this video and I love the items that you showed us. I’ve ordered from *preluxs* . Did it take you a long time to receive your items? It took me almost 2 weeks. But, I was very pleased when I did get my items. Thanks for sharing!
Don't do a lot of hotel stays but recently traveled to pick up new puppy and had an overnight stay. As a AAA member I checked for discounted rate through them as well as different booking sites. I found booking direct from the hotel the best price. AAA as well as other sites were significantly higher. So much so, that the difference between booking direct was the difference in the cost of gas to make the trip.
Those mystery pricing tips are invaluable. Sometimes there are great deals but if you don’t know which hotel it is you are afraid to commit. Thanks for the great video!
I so appreciate your insights and your enthusiasm. Thanks so much for all your tips! I've never heard of bereavement rates. I hope I don't have a reason to use that tip anytime soon but really interesting to learn.
I didn't know this either but last August I was /still not not handling the death of my gma/mom. I had to go away from my town. I checked into the Holiday Inn Express in Ocala, FL. Silver springs. When booking I added in the notes that I am grieving and if ok can I have a room away from elevator. I didn't want to hear " ding" all night plus ppl talking in groups waiting for elevator. Day before check in I received a text from the front desk women saying " They were sorry for my loss and would definitely be able to give me a room away from elevator. Even tho I paid what I paid. The way I was treated in passing was Priceless
Sooo good, as usual! Excellent, rarely discussed hacks here. I’m going to use these tips to book our hotel stays. I already used your Costco car rental hack from a previous video and saved 35% while even upgrading my class of car with Budget. What? Who knew?! Genius. Please keep ‘em coming!
Recently looked up a two night stay in Vegas {May 20 - 22) using Caesars Rewards & saw a rate of $8 per night (excluding resort fee) at Harrah's & $35 per night at Planet Hollywood. Vegas room rates are less expensive during mid-week (Sun - Wed) as opposed to weekends (Thu - Sat). Thanks for the tips!
Videos like this helped my husband & I when planning our anniversary trip next month. We booked as soon as possible to get a decent rate (approx six months ago). We can't wait to enjoy our trip. Thanks, Matt.
Haven't seen you in my algorithm in forever. So glad to have your great advice on traveling. Especially since its the beginning of mine and my daughters traveling season! Thanks for all you do to help us save! ❤
Wyndham properties owner, here. Great advice! Always use a CREDIT Card for stays! That is YOUR money when you utilize a debit card. However Credit cards are easily disputed for any unauthorized charges. Guests are commonly strapped for money when fees from incidentals are charged during check in or audit. Even when the hotel releases that's authorization (not a through charge- it simply makes that cash unaccessible and is marked as pending) at checkout, it could take your financial institution 3-5 business days to mark as available, so CALL your financial institution first to find out how long it will be until you have full access to your funds! ☝🏽
@oneblacktl - totally agree!! No debit card at gas stations either unless you go directly to the cashier & get a receipt. Plus since we're talking about saving$$ ... open a debit/ checking account with a financial i institution that gives you cash back rewards... i.e. Discover checking account, same company that issues Discover Credit Cards. There's valso a Chase Credit Card that rewards travel expenses very nice. Shop for deals, they are out there!!
I've been a subscriber for quite awhile and noticed that I was not seeing any videos from you. I was worried! I went looking and found all the usual, anticipated reviews, happily. I'm am still subscribed, with notifications checked, just as before. I guess yt wants me to search for you... Glad you're still there! 💛
I love your dupe hauls, I love all your hauls LOL. That mini Long Champ dupe I will go and get it because I don’t own a Long Champ bag. Never considered getting one until today. I love replica bags, and they just don't make them like *preluxs* do, they are just amazing for me!
@dianem1952 - from a former co- worker who was a travel agent for 10 years & traveled all over... & referred the following cruiseline to the boss... Royal Caribbean... Fabulous!!!
Thank you, I did not know about the bereavement discount. It’s good to know; I can pass that info along. FYI: When I stay at places with mini-bars I ask the desk (when I check in) I wanted it locked that I did not need or want access to it. And they do.
Thank you so much for your awesome videos that save us all so much money, this one in particular might potentially save me a lot also we love you back❤!
8:22 - As somebody who works in the hotel industry, PLEASE DO NOT WAIT UNTIL CHECK-OUT TO ADDRESS AN ISSUE! We want you to have a great stay and if we know right away, we can address it right away in the ways he listed (and more). Why have a miserable stay when letting us know can have the issue addressed in a couple of minutes? If we don't address the issue, then go complain online. But I promise most hotels will try to fix the issue if it's possible.
The bringing up issues as they happen is a good tip. When checking out I mentioned the issues we had to call maintenance for and they ended up giving me a discount back to my card for my troubles. Had they not been able to see that we called so many times I may not have gotten that discount.
Honestly, if you're traveling overseas, hostels are usually pretty cheap and fun to meet new people! Or even coach surfing if you're feeling adventurous!
Great tips my friend.. Will remember these awesome tips.. Since spring/Summer time is coming alot of road trips.. Any great deals on car jumper or other car stuff.. Thank you for all the tips and deals..
I was a Marriott card holder for several years and they have one free night per year but at that time you had to pay $60 a year fee for the card plus it was only for certain motels and places.
The My Vegas app is great. However, for hotel comps you can only use between Sunday to Thursday and it can not be used with consecutive days with other paid days. So ya mid week is great and the app is great for many other things.
Great video, as usual. Can you make a video that shows perks for educators? I know there are plenty but I don’t think there’s a comprehensive list, much less a video that we can use as a guide. Congrats on your success!
Can you say what app you used to play games to score free nights in Vegas? Are there apps that you can score free nights at other destinations, or just with particular hotel lines. Where do you put in the corporate code for discount at hotels?
I do not use third party site because there are just so many problems I read when they are used. Lost reservations, overbooked, overcharged. I just feel more confident ordering using the hotel apps or websites and being a "Loyal customer"

@@valeriesantos8178 That's disappointing 😢
Same. I'm traveling to pick up a new puppy next month. Not finding any discounts, will try looking direct.
@@valeriesantos8178what does “worked higher” mean?
@loraleighdoxin - if you are a camper, i e tent site camping or staying in State Park cabins then AAA offers discounts.
Thank you for doing this type of video, it's so overwhelming trying to find a place to stay that doesn't suck and /or put you into debt!
Yes! PLEASE do more videos like this! Ways to save money that aren't just about a list of stuff on sale. Thank you!

My husband and I are Hilton members. I had no idea they price matched. I will be looking more into that for sure.
I’d didn’t know that either.
We stay at Hampton Inn (part of Hilton) and they also have wonderful complimentary hot breakfasts

My hack for saving a bundle on a trip to Las Vegas trip is book a trip to Las Vegas NM instead of Las Vegas NV! The hotel rates are WAY cheaper.
Lol

Also, only use a credit card at check in. Debit cards hold an amount and you have no access to that money until the hotel releases that!
Never use a debit card other than the ATM
