Marskinpa Miehiä - Finnish Post-War Song [Sanat] + [English translation]

This song was made for a Finnish movie called "Päämaja" (headquarters) in 1970. The movie is based of a theater play which was made a few years prior and depicts the events of the Finnish headquarters in 1944 just before the Soviet summer offensive. The first two verses are in the intro of the movie while the ending is in the outro. There are a couple more verses sung in the movie but they are not in this "official" release. The ending "at least we came in second place" refers to the fact that while Finland lost the war, Finland was the only country fighting for the axis which was not occupied and remained independent.

The references are not just some "boss" or "bosses" but Marshall Mannerheim himself. Marshall Mannerheim was for them "the boss"... so boss (Marshall Mannerhaim) call boys to go war... and "the boss" (Marshall Mannerheim) have rock solid stance/he is very hard guy. Later part in song talk about how the highest command in the army (Generals) get fines (after we lost war), but line soldiers are KIA and buried in graves with crosses. Not about what happed to Marchalls (we had just one).
