As a Chinese, I think there is really no need to praise China too much, just treat it as an ordinary country.
But the problem is that the Western media has been trying for decades to portray China as a bad country. So, you will find that the videos of those travel bloggers who first went to China basically use words such as shocking, adventurous, and dangerous to describe the first trip to China. So, I think the emergence of this pro-China is just a backlash.
China is not perfect, and there are still many things that need to be improved. There are still scammers, criminals, and many bad things in China. I just hope that those who were prejudiced against China before will realize that China is just an ordinary country, not much better than other countries, but also not bad.

Spot on! Backlashes are results of centuries long of McCarthyism as well as the constant and aggressive demonization from the Anglo sphere in our mainstream medias. It’s causing polarization which is detrimental to collaborative synergies. Valuing difference and genuinely seeking mutual understanding are the only ways to harmonious and peaceful future for humanity.

@horaceleung8646 First, China is not a normal country. The US/West and other countries like India, etc. are jealous of China now when they have been looking down on China before. China is a special country because it is the largest manufacturing and high tech center in the world. It is the country with the highest scores in education, IQ, happiness, etc. but immediately after these surveys done by the West are released they are retracted because they cannot admit China is the best. And, China is a 10000 year old country. There is too much bad geopolitics and anti China actions and negative and biased reports from the mainstream media in the West/US with protectionism, etc. This is just a short summary only. So, it is really difficult to treat China as a normal country even if you wish to.

@@internationaldaily9820 I think we are talking about different concepts. You are talking about China's national strength, while I am talking about China's living conditions of Chinese people.
It is undeniable that China's national strength has grown very rapidly in recent years. Whether it is economy, military, science and technology, it is well-deserved to be in the top three in the world.
However, when I say ordinary, I mean that the Chinese people are living a very normal life, not the poverty, chaos and depression reported by the Western media. I am a Chinese living in China, and I have also seen too many things on UA-cam that slander China. Before China's 144-hour visa, there were still many vloggers who went to rural areas to make vlogs and said that the whole of China was like that.
I saw a video of an Indian vlogger. He was in Suzhou, but he found a village in Suzhou and made a video saying that China was like this. What's infuriating is not this, but that he is a foreigner who has lived in China for several years and can communicate with Chinese people in Chinese. There is a scene like this, he went to a small store to buy something, and the shop owner smiled and said to him: "Don't take pictures here, it's not good looking." He told the shop owner in Chinese: "It doesn't matter, foreigners like to see this." As a person who has lived in China for several years, wouldn't he not know how expensive the land price of such a village in the city is? But he described that place as a slum. Isn't this a kind of smear?
So, when I say normal, I just mean that the Chinese people, like most people in the world, live an ordinary life, have joys and sorrows, anger and happiness, and there is no oppression, poverty, or chaos.
P.S.: I wanted to post the link to that video, but then I realized I didn’t want to increase the number of views for his video, so I decided not to post it.

im trying to reply to a comment down below regarding AE! Last week my mum dislocated her knee was in pain! Took 4 hours for ambulance to arrive as it was 111 not 999 as it was not deemed an emergency! 7pm! ambulance arrived 1230am! sat in AE waiting room till 8am! till she got seen! where drunks and drug users were screaming about being there for 24hrs!
Doc that saw mum could just barely speak english no offence to him and tried to get my mum out of the place asap!!
it took 2 grown men to lift her in a gurney to ambulance to get to AE, doc tried to push her out the door with painkillers! she wanted to stay over night as she couldnt stand! doc wanted me to take her home! and walk her down 2 flights of steps on painkillers!
Doc offered her crutches in the end and said cant do jack about it! beds etc!
Northumbria is completely different to London and the southeast to be fair! most if not ALL of the UKs infrastructure and business is in London... makes you think! M25 was the last big UK infrastructure that was in the 80s! Dont even mention HS2!!!! or the frikking millenium dome!!!!
im struggling to find work ffs! since covid! i just keep thinking its just me! But i know its not, ive been to plenty of gov "courses" with other people with the same stories! the UK and Western media is hiding it!
the content creators are roasting the UK because of what the UK West in general is putting all their effort into! It isnt about the UK people doubling down on ukraine or woke BS! of course im not speaking on behalf of all the creators, geopolitically we all know whats going on... stats and data show it and its western stats and data that show it.....
The issues in the west are self evident and self inflicted and theyre doubling down! thats the gist of my comment!
Im now trying to find work over in China..... i have a background in architecture..... No ones building anything! No ones paying for anything to be built! youd think i would have opportunities with my transferrable skills! but NO obviously not! i cant even get work as a utilities meter reader as i was promised and prioitised! from the job centre! AGAIN all the support from the West is going to one place!!!! Ukraine! Israel! Taiwan etc!!!!
The writing is on the wall!!! I dont see it getting better, the EU just doubled down on Ukraine till either Ukraine is dead or Russia is dead!!! Whats the likelyhood of that!!!! All this overcapacity BS! as well!!! Lets all double down on petrol cars now because China will win the EVs!!!???
Again blatant western double standards its obvious!
I was born and bred in the UK..... educated in architecture in the UK! worked in architecture for 4 yrs in the UK! cant get work as a utilities meter reader! or graphic designer! or CAD designer or technician.... Im boots on the ground getting the run around from the Gov! i did a civil service course because job centre etc and still nothing!
I understand where youre coming from btw! im also seeing Westerners just heading to China to boost numbers! its obvious some of them are but its also obvious that Chinas got their shit together and know whats important! its the people! its the friendly WIN WIN trade! its not being woke!
We fecked off Brexit, We're now ignoring BRICS because China! Because we love the US frikking A!???? NO

Enjoying this content Snide and you make a great point regarding NHS. 3 hours is nothing. The situation is much worse in the cities. I had to take my dad to A&E a year ago and we waited for 8-9 hours. Waiting room full of drug addicts and other dregs of society who had never paid a penny of National Insurance in their lives. That experience convinced me we need to scrap it and have private insurance based healthcare instead, it’s too far gone now.

For the last forty years, I have been to the UK so often that this country can be considered my second home.
The wilderness of English countryside, like Scottish and Welsh are charming and idyllic indeed. However, a third of the rural land is owned by aristocrats and land gentry. 50% of rural land ownership in England and Wales are family and corporate estates, some of them foreign companies. Besides the land mass, owners treat the hills, lakes, river, forest and meadows as their trophy assets.
The UK economy has been in the doldrums for the last two decades but UK landownership policies and development will thwart any pro- growth plans. The British government will still unable to develop more decent home to address the acute housing shortages, to upgrade outdated facilities in public hospitals and schools and to develop infrastructure for more affordable and expeditious public transport and telecommunications.
In this sense, constitutionally the UK is not a democracy... it's a plutocracy run by oligarchs. There's little prospect that the standard of living for the British general public to get better.
