- A beach outing from our Cruise this week to the privately owned island named Half Moon Cay, Bahamas. Carnival Cruise lines owns it apparently.
Picture perfect beach situation we enjoyed for half a day.
My Phantom 2 quad-copter UAV (drone) with Zenmuse Gimbal and Go Pro camera on board performed great in the shooting of the aerial shots in this movie.
People everywhere were amused and interested in the drone. A big hit! And it sure added a lot of dimension to my little vacation home video.

That is something you don't see every day. I was just looking for video on line about Half Moon Cay and wow saw that it was a mine copter with a camera. So cool it made me feel like a kid again, wishing to have something like that.

+knoxfamily42 I cannot say. When I did, they were still relatively new and not yet "regulated" by anyone to speak of. I had many officers on the ship see me flying it, and none gave me any trouble. Could be very different situation now?
They are dangerous to fly around people, regardless of the operator's skill level, so I could see them being banned on ships or private beaches, etc. I felt kind of like I was sneaking in under the radar realizing it was not likely to remain possible for long once they become more common place.
