I have sooooo many Xbox One games because it was the one I went to for that generation .
I also had the same issue with the OG model Xbox One not reading my discs where I would have to eject, reinsertover and over for it to register. The One S was a big improvement and the One X was a great upgrade but yeah, it's also my least favorite Xbox. Collecting for it is indeed pretty cheap. Managed to score both Forza Horizon 3 and 4 for only like $12 each.
Xbox One absolutely sucks. I got one at one point, wanna play a game, hold on we'll take 2 hours installing then updating to find it's always online. You can't even use the Xbox One without internet access. 500gb hdd that can't be replaced easily, halo 4 was like 60gb on disc then 100gb update file. Sorry man, it's a terrible console. For a collector, it will probably be little more than a paperweight in 20 years. Servers will be down and most games aren't on the disc making them unplayable.
You're right that servers being shut off in the future will make disc based games less valuble, needing updates and such. But that goes for any online console. Xbox One can be played offline, so Xbox One consoles will continue to work when that day comes.
I'd guess the future of such consoles will lean further towards piracy when there's no online support because games don't work out of the box like they did in previous generations. Microsoft might offer some kind of legit way of obtaining OS and game updates but there's no guarantees on any of that.
@@breakfasthole I think you may want to do a factory reset of the console then see if you can get it working before you say you can use it offline. You can't even set it up without an internet connection
@@TheGunmanChannel I agree, that part is concerning. People should be able to remove their data without bricking the console and unless Xbox offer a way to do that offline, it means they have to continue to provide a bare minimum online service for this.
Cheap for a damn good reason, one of the worst an easily forgettable systems an libraries
Definitely not true, just on the fact that it shares about 70-80% of the same library as PS4 and has One X enhancements puts xbox at a great collecting point. also, the exclusives are decent on Xbox One, such as Sunset overdrive, Forza Horizon series, the entire Gears series can be played on xbox one, Halo MCC etc. All in all there's more than enough to play on the system that'll keep you satisfied.
Definitely true, most games need a massive update. Always online requirements.
