I used April Skin (Carrotene) the whole set, cleanser, serum, and moisturizer. After, their Vit C 20%. I saw results in 2 weeks. Now, I added the Collegen serum. It’s been so good on my skin. Going on 2 years. I’ve been struggling with hormonal acne for years. No product really worked, only April 😊
Hormonal acne is treated by addressing the cause; which is the fluctuations in the hormones. Either get endocrinologist to check blood levels for deficiencies or see if doctor will give you a low dose of spirinolactone. Topical application of product does not address a new motivated by hormonal fluctuations.
I've had this since my teens as I can't control my weight/ sweet tooth. Similar products help it from being too bad but it'll never be clear as long as I can't control my weight.
@@OO-be3jz Sorry my original comment is a bit confusing but this condition is more to do with insulin resistance than weight. Yes most type 2 diabetics are overweight but not all overweight people have insulin problems (or have a sweet tooth like me) to get acanthosis. Not even all people with insulin conditions either will develop acanthosis. But all I've read about it has told me it won't go away unless you decrease excessive simple carbohydrates and your insulin is under control. I personally lost 90lbs before to reach under 25 BMI and still had it because I was eating lots of sugar/carbs.
I have one question, this condition is associated with Insulin Resistance....so do you have to use these Products while you fix the issue inside?....or will this go away with just using the Products?

@Salma….That’s a sign of Pre Diabetes !!’ Small changes to your diet can work. My daughter had this & we worked with a nutritionist who noticed this right away on her neck. That’s usually an area where it manifests itself initially. Eat more whole grains to include whole grain pasta & vegetables, potatoes with skin intact as well as whole grain breads, etc. The grains act as sponges that absorb free floating sugars in the body. Believe me within a week the dark areas were greatly improved, reduced or eliminated. Hope this helps!
