    If anyone is looking for a place in Gulf Breeze or Navarre area look up Rob Anderson who works for Tim. Rob is a good man, helped me find a place in Navarre FL for the family and I. We moved from NY to Florida and Rob made the move extremely easy and painless. I can't say enough how helpful Rob and Tim where helping us relocate. I also found and awesome mortgage lender John Rispoli from AMIC. Seriously anyone looking to move call Tim, Rob and John and they will take care of getting you the right house to make it your home. I retired after 20 years of law enforcement in NY and trust me, it takes a certain person for me to trust. I trusted these guys and they delivered..

    I will always remember Gulf Breeze. I once lived there for three months only in 2007-2008 when I took the Work and Travel program. I am from Peru and really enjoyed the town. Really calm, pretty windy though and storms almost every day. A nice really nice place to live!

    Gulf Breeze City? We have never called the Eastern half of GULF Breeze “City” We usually called it Tiger Point area. (Or jokingly called it “Gulf Breeze Improper” It extends into Part of Midway. I lived in Paradise Bay Neighborhood for 14 years. 26 years ago, that part of Gulf Breeze was more “country” than Gulf Breeze Proper, so it’s really weird for me to hear someone call it “Gulf Breeze City.” 😂😂
    Gulf Breeze is also zoned for Oriole Beach Elementary & Woodlawn Beach Middle school. - Woodlawn Beach is split for kids who will be zoned for Gulf Breeze High School & Navarre High School.
    My husband was active duty Air Force, stationed at Hurlburt Field. Before buying a home in Gulf Breeze, we lived in Ft Walton Beach, and then Navarre. We chose Gulf Breeze for the schools, at that time. We were there from 2007- 2021. It was a nice place to raise our children, but now that they are adults, they have no desire to live in Gulf Breeze. We sold our house in Paradise Bay last summer. My husband is retiring from the military & we are moving to Tennessee.
    There are many upsides, but some of the downsides are :
    #1- Insurance costs! We could have purchased our home TWICE for the amount we paid for insurance over a 14 year span.
    #2The area has also become very built up. The worst part of living in Gulf Breeze is traveling on Hwy 98, and traffic. It’s a much more enjoyable place to live if you can afford to enjoy all that the area has to offer. A home with Water access, a pool, and toys like boats, that is what will make the difference. Our family always kinda felt like we were on the social periphery, just driving up & down HWY 98, like cogs in a wheel.
    #3 There are a lot of athletics and academics available for kids- but keep in mind, those opportunities have a higher cost than what you might be accustomed to, coming from another location. Most of the community is accustomed to that cost as insignificant. For example, all 3 of our kids were in the high school drama program- which is among the best in the state of FL, but it cost us at least $6,000, per kid. Add in private voice lessons, dance classes, and acting intensives and the sky is the limit on what parents spend to keep their kids at a high enough level to be able to be included. That’s the same for athletics. Expect to be in travel sports and have private training, in addition to school sports. So, YES there are amazing academic & athletic opportunities for children/ teens, but be aware of the price for them being included in those opportunities. :)
    It’s a great place to call home & I miss it! I definitely don’t miss the down sides I mentioned. 🥰

    I've lived there since 1981. I went to GBHS.
    Gulf Breeze was better when we called it The Redneck Rivera.
    There are just to many people there now.

    If stick to yourself/yourselves, and a very close circle of friends, no matter from where else in the country and worldwide. It's unbeatable price per quality, and have all of the important things that could need. Two airports, Pensacola and Okaloosa. Healthcare and specialty stores. Just have to know how to scout around sharp eyes for the goodies. That's fun in discoveries.

      They diverted traffic farther east to the Garcon Point bridge when the barges broke loose during Hurricane Sally one and a half years ago. The only other time it was out in its 91 year history was 1989 when another barge accident happened. The traffic had to go all the way around the east end of the bay back then. Hopefully they'll learn from history and lock down those barges better.

    I live in Gulf Breeze. I am not happy here neither is my family. The people are not very friendly. I am from the very friendly state of Oklahoma. There's nothing to do except the beach. If that's all you want and you don't mind small and rainy... You will like it here. It's like Mayberry, a small little town... with a beach lol.

    We have been vacationing at Pensacola Beach since 2008. We came after Ivan, we came after the deep horizon oil spill, we even came after the bridges got knocked out. We love that whole area, Gulf Breeze included, and we have been watching realty there since 2008.
    I will say, Pensacola Beach used to be very dog friendly but not anymore. If you rent a beach house, you can’t take your dog on that beach, which is right outside your door.

    • @LivinginPensacolaFlorida
      @LivinginPensacolaFlorida  2 роки тому

      Thanks for watching and the comment. Yes that is so true about the dogs on the beach. Unfortunately people ruin things for so many people. It amazes me how many people don't clean up after their dogs.

    • @TheOtteroo
      @TheOtteroo 2 роки тому +2

      @@LivinginPensacolaFlorida Unfortunately PB got really strict the year I stayed at 125 VDL for a month without a car. 3 miles from any dog park was,….
      It was kind of a slap in the face truthfully after coming there and supporting the local economy during Pensacola Beach’s natural disaster after Ivan, and even coming during the deep horizon oil spill watching the tar ball patrols. Most recently during Sally…
      A Round trip for my little dog would be 6 miles round trip, is a journey he is simply to small to go that far.
      So imagine spending all that money and being stuck for a month with no where to go and nothing to do. The gulf was 800 feet away, 1/7 th of a mile, 300 steps away. And to not even be able to go see it, because the beach NAZI gave me a $70 ticket just for being on a cross over trying to finally get a glimpse of the now forbidden Gulf Of Mexico.
      After spending my hard earned money to go there year after year since the early 2000’s, and not even being afforded a warning? the experience has left me thinking about vacationing in Dunedin. It’s a much more dog friendly area. It’s a real shame PB has to be so anal about it now.
      A better solution would be, another more centrally located dog beach, with no dog off leash ever the same fines and penalties apply, I suggest perhaps somewhere just east of Casino Beach in the housing areas. Maybe more than one so access is enabled for everyone centrally.

    I just got back from that area and was so disappointed and disgusted at how little it had to offer except for Peewee golf and cheesy tourist attractions. The area was not beautifully landscaped at all in any area including pensacola. The only nice areas are from 30a down starting in destin. Pensacola was depressed they were getting homeless and their front door shops in the downtown and it was run down and just plain ugly. A lot of the housing with run down in the area just not an attractive place.
