- I head up to Pittsburg NH with a life long friend for 4 days of fun filled lake camping! No particular destination in mind, this was a take it as we can find it kind of trip. And it was a ton of fun! We had a great time paddling around, fishing, swimming, camping, eating good food and just enjoying the lake and each others company !

Justin, I was 50 miles east of you in North Eastern Maine,when you had your trip,my Wife and I went up to see a old friend,and we got to see the comet for a few nights,you are 100% right,it IS good in the woods,cheers.

You would never know it now, but I used to be quite the fisherman....regardless of my glory days gone by, this trip was a fuc%!^g blast!

That’s awesome that you had that Lake all to yourselves. That mist on the water was beautiful. The swimming looked like so much fun. Good views and good food and a good friend and a good lake always equals a great time. Love that area. Cool video brother 👍👍

Like your own private lake and woodland! Sounds like an epic time out in the woods. The sunlight trying to peak thru the misty lake was amazing! Some nice food too. A trip where you experienced a variety of weather. That makes for a memorable outing. I was impressed seeing you use a kayak paddle in your Wenonah. I paddle a 16 foot Mohawk Blazer and have pretty much abandoned single blade paddles other than as a backup. I always used a traditional paddle until about 3 years ago when I tried using my kayak paddle with the Blazer. I remember actually saying out loud, "why isn't everyone doing this." Nice adventure guys.
I just got back from a 9 day , 8 night canoe trip in the Adirondacks, ! . We got it all! Rain, sleet, flurries, frost ( first of the season for me!!!!!) thunder , lightning, sunshine, whitecaps, huge rollers, glass water, temps from low 30's to mid 60's all of it!! It was awesome!
My Wenonah is a 13' Fusion, 30" at the beam. . It's a small solo canoe. Paddles very well with a kayak paddle. It is an awesome set up and I love it! For me it is so much better than a single blade paddle. Thanks for watching bud! Much appreciated. -Justin

We were dorking right out!! 150%. Full tilt! Good fun! We were talking about that trip we all went on back in the day. That was 19, 20 years ago. Old Greenleaf, Old man Shepa, Shepa , Chewma , Hayes hahahahahaha we all thought he was dead he passed out so hard lol!!! What a time that was!

Since I was 4 years old, Joe has been a consistent friend to date. And when we get together, we might as well be kids, because we always let it all out...150% non stop. (Used to be liftoff to 500% and counting rapidly , but we are getting older) Full tilt! Always a good time I love him for that
A bad day fishing..., I couldn't tell you about that, never had one. But a fresh fish would have put this trip in the Epic/Legendary playlist in my head !
The food was delicious my man! We both packed extra ice so we could make that happen...cold beers may have been a motivating factor as well....possibly...for sure.

I love Pittsburg! Got a camp on the mountain behind Lopstick lodge. Been going there since 83... have you been to Garfield Falls and Indian stream canyon?

Gotta have good meat on a trip like this! The GoPro is a hero 7 black, it doesn't need a housing...it's waterproof, and that is awesome!!!! It's a great piece of gear !!! Canoe camping is so much fun! Thanks for watching Senior !

Do you go there often? This was my first time up in quite a few years..I used to go up all the time when I was a kid with my grandparents...I will be making much more frequent visits
It's Good in the Woods , Been about 8 years,but,used to go every year in mid May. Fished the river. We usually camped at either Lake Francis or Deer Mountain campgrounds. We had a lot of luck fishing. I wanna get up there bad. Hoping in the next month.

last time I was on the water in a storm like that I was on the river and it was crazy going through the rapids with all the splashback. Oh yeah that after rain hatch lol really awesome scenery man. I used to live on a lake and I used to paddle out into the whitecaps every night lol neighbors thought I was cracked lol. A fly behind a clear bobber is really good here! Oh no broken pole. Man I'm looking forward to being able to take trips like that. Now that I work for myself and the girls are getting a little older. Look like really good times man.

Is camping generally allowed on the first ct lake? Been wanting to go there but wasn’t sure if camping was permitted.
i really prefer the birds and wind sounds or paddle hitting the water or the sound of the line releasing from the bail,you just gotta mess it up with music

pisses me off. I have a cheap Coleman tent that I have been beating the piss out of for 15 years, because it's a coleman . It's seen festival abuse and all....many times..still usable to this day. This Big A would have crumpled 30 times over by now had it seen what the coleman has. I have cheap Eureka tents that I have beat the piss out of, I'll admit it, I'm rough on equipment....hose Eureka tents are still with me today....I love them...As far as the Big A....3 strikes, I'm not even going to bother getting the poles again....I can not trust this tent...I'm going to put the card in this video to the video I have of this tent failing prior to this adventure......check it out if you get a minute..
