I just knocked one of these out in less than 10 minutes. Mine is 3-in-1, that is I cut the long piece and each of the stabilizer legs to different lengths so I can accommodate all three of my poles. Nothing says those stabilizer tubes need to be the same length to function. Your design is much simpler than others, I really appreciate your video!
Thats a great version of the jaw jacker, i love it! I like how it can break down and fit in your bag. I made a video 4 or 5 years ago with the same idea and the jaw jacker guy sent me a message to tell me I had to stop using the name jaw jacker in my video. The real jaw jacker is junk and only good for bonking the fish once you catch em.
@@craighawkings8937 that's crazy they put out a C&D for your video. Not a good image for them to be scared by some guys tinkering in their garage haha. If it happens, I'll just call it an "automatic hook setter" and they can shove it 😂

@@bogolyskeepingitreel thanks for the sub! If you want to get into it, I would suggest tagging along with someone that has the gear already so you can get a feel as to whether or not you'll like it before spending several hundred on gear off the bat. Great design. Could you do another video on how you bent those coat hangers? I actually just looked up the prices from Lowe's and did the math. Each individual setup now costs $5.57. 1" diameter Schedule 40 PVC (x1) 10' pipe = $7.97 (x4) 90° joint = $5.16 (x4) 45° joint = $6.60 (x4) T junction = $10.12 Total = $22.26 You can make 4 sets per 10' pipe so: $22.26/4 = $5.565 $5.57 + tax per rig. My original claim for them being under $5 was for when I first built these 3+ years ago
@@mikejohnston80 was a concern at first too, but it's been 3+ years of using them and I'm still using the same rods with original eyelets. Just got to sand down the ends after cutting and it's not an issue.

Love this, I might add a loop to my jaw jacker rod to keep the possibility of the hanger pinching the line or nicking it on release. Well done sir!

What rod do you use for this jaw jacker?

You can’t make 4 of them for $5. Let’s be real. That one was $20
@@cowbway8462 buddy, I don't know where you shop, but I am 100% literal about the prices, give or take a buck.
I actually just looked up the prices from Lowe's and did the math. Each individual setup now costs $5.57.
1" diameter Schedule 40 PVC
(x1) 10' pipe = $7.97

(x4) T junction = $10.12

$22.26/4 = $5.565
$5.57 + tax per rig.

8.49 for a 10ft stick of pvc. The t brackets are over a dollar each
