    What size is that single berry hone? Have a block sitting on the stand and would really like to clean up the lifter bores

    Use Motorcraft TA-31 it’s fantastic. Very good stuff a little expensive but was designed for the Diesel engines.

      Yeah I’ve had great luck with Permatex gray

      @@FrankBUILTperformance yeah I use it on the bed plates and the oil pan adapter plate. It’s nice to have a 6.0 that doesn’t leak oil. Very strong bottom ends

    What did u gap the top and 2nd piston ring gaps to? Great video, good u didn't forget that oil plug by the cam gear, that would have sucked

    OLÁ. 24/12/23 Assisti a desmontagem do motor. Comento apenas o que vi no vídeo. A análise das costas das bronzinas (chapa de aço) é tão importante (ou até mais) que o lado da liga ante fricção. Tratando-se de um motor com grande alteração no sistema de lubrificação e de componentes internos do motor, deveriam identificar o "perfil" de todas as bronzinas com um micrômetro centesimal 0 a 25mm com 1 ponta redonda. Não vi conferirem o comprimento e aperto das bronzinas. (e o uso de MARRETA?) O assunto é muito mais longo, ABRAÇOS... Roberto Udo Krapf

    Timing alognments is basically in between the valley if someone dont have tool.

    Like the video man… I’m rebuilding my 6.0 as we speak.. How did you make the bracket that attaches to the motor mount for the stand??

      Thanks! An employee of mine back in the day made them from some schedule 40 pipe & 1/4” plate. Kinda sucks because HF doesn’t make these stands any more.

    If a customer sends you a bare block . And everything you need to build a short block. More less how much labor cost is that? Just a ball park answer. Thx

    Does anyone!!!!! rotate the motor after getting the crank, pistons and cam in, or does everyone wait until they install the engine to find out that they jammed it up and must remove and tear it apart5 agtain?

    Can the 6.0 bebuild to increase the horse power up to 400 to 425 hp and have a reliable pulling motor ? ?

      @@brentambler3506 is there a build plan to do this. I have 2004 with the good bad 6.0. I pull horse trailer with it long distance and need the reliably of a stock engine but need more hp to climb long grades.

      ​@@quinnsullivan7679 air dog fuel pump air to oil cooler delete plate EGR delete if you can and a sct X4 with some mild tunes and maybe get your ficm sent to be tuned with a eco or atlas 40

      Seems like some people say to do it, some people say not to. I don’t and haven’t had an issue

      Most lifter companies say not to soak their lifters.

    CLEAN THE SHIT OUT OF THE BLOCK, AND THEN PICK THE CRANK OFF THE DIRTY SHOP FLOOR AND AS YOU SAY SLAM IT IN. NO THANK YOU.
