I love how detailed you are with these videos 🔥💪. I probably won’t do either of these since I have a Palmy Blue interior and with it being more “rare” I kinda want to keep it, even though it’s a bit scuffed especially on the tailgate. Maybe I’ll change my mind once I get some new seats in my hatch and the colors start clashing with the dash and carpet.
Not totally sold on the flocking. About the paint.. those bubbles aren't from not scuffing enough. There called fish eyes, and caused from not cleaning it properly. Wax n grease remover or rubbing alcohol. Apply with one paper towel, wipe with another. The sem paint works best with very light multiple coats. Good video
@Jason-nk4yr Understandable…The flocking is definitely more maintenance to keep clean i will say that, definitely not looking forward to that! 😅 That makes sense i kept thinking why only 1 piece kept giving me trouble!!! 😂 I should’ve cleaned the surfaces better!! Good Lookin Out!👍
flock is awesome looks great and its easy to apply. when your done your can go over with compressed air to knock loose fibers off just dont go crazy with the pressure, theres always going to be some that come off. the biggest problem with flocking stuff though is that its very susceptible to uv rays. If you park your car outside or dont have good quality tint the dark black flock will become sunfadded and turn a yellowish/grey black in less than a year was super disappointed once it happened to my cars
I need to do similar stuff to my 99 Si so ill be keeping tabs on how well the sem paint holds up because ive seen good reviews on it from years ago, but nothing recent.
@brandenhaberk well i cant tell you right now im not the best at painting stuff and having it last but i will say when i painted my exterior roof and window trim moldings with sem paint more than a year ago they have held up soo well! I didnt even clear coat them and they still look pretty much the same 👍
You want to use 2k clear matte . that way its super hard and does not scratch so easy. Everything else will wear over time and look bad if it gets scratched. Flocking is cool though for untouching areas.
@giod954 haha 😅 its not the head unit.. its a JDM double din center console and this thing is expensive. But If you wanna pay a couple hundred bucks on ebay or facebook marketplace just search it up👍
Nice job Flocker!

2k is not for casual use, that stuff is truly poisonous, do not use isocyanate products in residential areas without proper equipment.
Use a small foam roller for bigger pieces to apply the glue. Makes it easier
Yo please tell me you have a link or can tell what you did to move your head unit down to where the cup holders are🙏
