I bought this camera about a week ago and still learning it, so I've watched about 20 reviews on the camera. OMG, you were the only one with a personality AND a good review with samples. I was just hoping to learn more about the menu functions but great job and thank you!
This is a surprisingly good review, with samples of the video, the zoom, the light/dark, the macro close ups, the audio, the stabilizer, etc. Thank you very much! I personally use a fairly high end Panasonic still-camera which takes amazing video and has 30x optical zoom i think, but then again i paid 400 bucks for it. :P
It has auto focus, but there is also a face-detect mode and a manual focus.
i've just bought one of these and the picture quality when i film indoors is terrible! it won't focus and the image is really grainy. any tips on which settings to use to ovecome this?
stupid question.....the battery was attached to brand new camera, and it's been charged up for two hours...i cant turn the camera on at all,,,,,what button gets it all started?
i bought one in clarence for 50 should i use 1 or 2 amp usb out put charger

wow, you have lots of snow ! I like the fast focusing on the flame, to bad the camera is shaky when fully zoomed in, the macro is decent but could be better, the still images are nice n clear

The thing won't record over 20 mins. for 1 video file, how do u fix this problem?

Did you encounter the 20 minute recording limit when it creates a few video file? Have you tried recording for over 20 minutes? How did you deal with it? Thanks

Just got one recently for $100. I really like it for the price. But its autofocus is just slow. That's one of the biggest complaints about it. I don't think there is anything you're going to be able to do about that. Manually focusing while zooming quickly is going to be just too difficult. Zoom very slowly or not at all.

I'm getting a similar (if not exact) camcorder through a credit card rewards program. It didn't "cost" me anything, but just wanted to check it out before it got here. (If it doesn't work out, ah well. Maybe I should have gone for the outdoor grill. But never mind.) Anyway, I would just like to say that I like your presentation!

Yeah does come with triple A or double A batteries or one big battery that holds for a long time

I doubt it comes with a memory card, but it would likely require SD cards (well i know it does). And likely minimum speed of Class6. Maximum speed of class10 (the highest right now). I'd imagine this camcorder can easily take a 64gb sd card, so no worries about compatibility. Don't buy the card at a store, go on Amazon or something for a good deal.

yeah..u said ..on the time..im sure u meant ,,on the top....left of the zoom toggle.........ive pushed it obviously ,,,,zero happens. dang it...ebay purchase of factory refurbished for 90 bucks...apprantely they didnt turn the damn thing on to see if it worked.......

I have this camcorder. It is ok but i recently bought a Canon HR500 for about the same price and it is 10x the camcorder. Also dude, turn your gain down.
