Mike is the man, he has literally been explaining this video after video for years now. He doesn't give up easily. He's determined to teach this technique. Mike's training style is great. Wish i had been taught this years ago.

    Mike-
You may feel like your repeating things- but I like the repetition of the content topics because I continue to get a better understanding of your concepts. 👍🏻

It never fails to amaze me how he never gets tired of explaining the same things cuz people are so caught up in their own ways... seriously huge respect to you, Mike.

Mike just answered a big question of mine I’ve had for years. He says you don’t contract the muscle yourself voluntarily. The muscle will contract in its own if the movement is right. So many times I’m trying to contract my chest and contract my lays on a pull down when I’m making it harder on myself. I just need to pull correctly and the lat will automatically contract. Always wondered if I should be voluntarily be aware of contracting a muscle

Very well done sir. He dumbs it down so anyone can understand it even if you've never worked out. Keep them coming mike. Great job

In my home gym I find that partial bent rows and pull-ups are the best way for me to feel those opposing forces come together in my lats. I can make them burn. With full range of motion in those I lose the groove.

So I have to drive my chest forward or up INTO the pad when pulling? I’ve tried that. It obviously the opposite of pushing on a press and leaning back and pushing away. It just looks like Mike is leaning back and rocking backward when doing pull downs. I guess it just seems like that to the eye but the object is to try and push forward with your chest while pulling?

      * Pulling; Push chest towards the bar, pretend you're bringing someone to your face with your head and chest (to meet the pretend bar)
      * Pushing; push your body back, pretend you're pushing someone away.

What I don’t get is if we don’t contract ourselves why do people or coaches give that “ squeeze” cue especially when doing chest? What are we “ squeezing?” Makes no sense
