Most important thing friends and family is to realize you are injured in a bad way. Never say snap out of it or get over it... Trust me if we could, we would.

    Tears falling down my cheeks.
    So true.
    So sad.
    So very alone.

@@amandalynngibson8332 you’re right and I’m grateful for that. I’ve seen some good Ted Talks, I’ll look up the woman from Utah. Thank you!

I suffer from a brain injury and most of this is exactly how I feel and wish I could share this with family and friends. Thank you for this!

The first story could be me, except I only get angry at myself, not others, and I haven't reached the end part yet. I'm only 5 months in to this horrible place. Other than those two things, he sums up what I'm living as if he knew me personally. I look the same now except I still have a couple scars and my face is a little out of normal shape. This has been a living nightmare and I wish I could just wake up. 😢

Barbara- I can offer hope for you today.
I am healing. Almost 4 years since my injury, but I have begun the process of getting a very new treatment and science backed treatment for healing brain issues.
I am just in the beginning. I have only done the first 3 of 12 week protocol. I feel it is working already. I finally feel hopeful!
If my TBI is significantly healed, and I have my energy, concentration, and abilities restored, I am going to be a fierce advocate for our tribe of TBI affected people.
      Patience.
You feel alone, but there are lots of us carrying umbrellas.
Easy does it.. one day at a time.

I went to a TBI convention a little over a week ago and it actually gave me an attitude of gratitude!!... I saw TBI survivors much more limited and challelged than I am.. some cannot drive and some cannot even walk or talk!!
