Love my JVM 205h, best amp I’ve ever had in my 35 years of playing guitar.
Some of your best riffage, loved the fireball but felt that low end dissapearing in the mix. My choice is the jvm
Great riffs man. Seriously
That is going to be interesting.
That engl sound!!!
Marshall, it goes without saying 👈👑
There’s usually some kind of magic happening when pairing a Gibson with a Marshall. I upgraded to the JVM410H from the JVM210H earlier this year when chasing tone down the rabbit hole again. My only regret was not getting it sooner but I did manage to find a new made in England foot switch for it.
Should I pay $500-$750 extra for the JVM410H over and above the JVM205H / JVM210H?
For me this is not a VS but a reason to buy both
There's a reason why a lot of us own 10+ Amp Heads! Different Options, Different Flavours, and chances for Different Feelings in your playing! Cheers -Ryan
@@CrypticmaskguitarI completely agree with that, I also see myself in the 10+ corner at some point ^^ Cheers Mike
Both astonishingly great.
2:24 JVM for the win 🥇 because of power chords like these.
Very close matchup.
Additional thanks for mid scooped test!!! no one is making the sound of Florida death metal in tests right now.
Great video! If you have an opportunity - I'd really like to see the smaller wattage amps compared to bigger counterparts. For example the Marshall sc20h vs the big brother, the Peavey 6505MH vs the big brother and so on. Especially since the Marshalls line is called "studio" which makes me wonder how the wattage affects recording (if at all).
I only use what I own. Unfortunately I'm not a big fan of the lower wattage amps. Not enough Head Room. Cheers -Ryan
I’ve watched a lot of these kind of comparisons: missing headroom and missing a ton of bass.
When I look at the Marshall, I see a lot more parts to cause trouble.
Are you always Using load box to interface ? Or always mic ? Im starting with the studio thing .Thank you
Signal Chain is always in the Description of the videos. I ALWAYS Mic. I have a separate treated room for my Cabinets and Mic, that way I can get the volume up without destroying my hearing. Cheers -Ryan
It's wild to me that the Fireball is EQed to have less bass than the Marshall. The FB100 has TONS of low end if you EQ it in and it can stay relatively tight (especially with the right boost).
Yep I have that amp. I hit that bottom button on the Fireball 100 and the low end is massively insane...
Marshall🤗🤟
Engl all the way!
in scooped test i like firebal...
I'm not a big Marshall fan but I've got to hand it to the JVM, the presence and low end resonance made the Engl sound cheap.
Another Marshall vote!
I have the 800, 900 and dsl
So I was hoping to like the ENGL for variety but not this head
Maybe the powerball 2?
Fireball and Powerball share the same high gain channel. Powerball has more features and separate eq’s.
I think jvm vs invader would be the better comparisson
is there a difference in voicing between the fireball, the powerball and the savage?
I tried the savage mark 2, the fireball 100 and I had a powerball 2 and I now have a piwerball 1. the powerball 2 is one of the worst amps I've ever owned. the sound is very smooth, sterile and lacks saturation ... I sold it after 2 weeks. the powerball 1 is far superior in every way. the fireball 100 is less modern and extremely saturates this amp is the best I've tried in the engl. the savage mark 2 is very good but very modern it is tried before buying because the modern sound it delivers is very typical. in any case the powerball 2 is avoided
For leads I'd pick JVM, for aggressive riffs I'd take 🔥 ball. Well I own a fireball just because of this reason and man it's biting
Also I'm an Iron Maiden fan and thinking to get either this JVM or 20w reissue jcm800.
@@Krankenstein The 100 watt power stage is a big part of the sound of these amps. The low watters don’t have the same bass.
The Engl has so much more clarity and is tighter compared to the JVM.
JVM !!!
Is the Marshall JVM410H reliable?
Absolutely
When you play that disgustingly nasty good, I think all amps will be a tie
Although it's strange, the JVM was better...
Engl is unsurprisingly more metal, but the Marshall just seems fuller. Doubtless, the JVM is more versatile.
My experience is in the amp in a box FET world, but my AMT E1 didn't manage to stick around for too long. Went back the Tech 21 British, but the E1 was pretty good at what it did right.
