Harvick is hard carrying SHR.. I can understand Custer and Briscoe being off, since their young and don’t have practice. But Almirola should at least be top 15...
Come on Eric, that caution for the tire stacked up the field way later in the race than necessary, put golden boy Denny on the front row and led to more cautions. There was a lot more losers on that deal than just Chris Buescher. Larson had a huge gap at that point and might have ran away with it.
The 23 needs a driver. Not meant to be a knock on Wallace. It's just he isn't the caliber driver you need on a start up team. NASCAR absolutely screwed the 17. Pretty much the same as a driver manipulating a finish.
Now I didn't see the race because I was working, so take this with a grain of salt...but if you are NASCAR either throw the caution for the tire or don't throw the caution for the tire. There is an argument either way, but throwing it after waiting for 20 or so laps is wrong. What changed in NASCAR's eyes to make it a safety hazard AFTER everyone drove by it on pit lane? This is the reason NASCAR is losing fans. Poor racing and inconsistent calls are ruining the sport.
NASCAR normally tries to wait til pit stops have cycled through for calling this type of caution. It was a difficult decision with the #17 staying out waiting for it. People complain all the time about too many cautions, now they're upset about not getting one fast enough. It seems like they didn't throw the yellow right away because they DIDN'T want to affect the race, now people complain that that's what they did. I get that people disagree with the decision. I just don't see what everyone's so upset about. It's not that big of a deal.
The last caution for Bells crash should have been red flagged to clean up the track but instead the wasting like 7 laps to get it to a green white finish.
I had good things to say about this race until…. It happened. NASCAR better pray that they make the right decisions moving forward. A lot of people are unhappy and continuing to ignore the fans is a very risky decision.
It's the rules package thing. You have to push the guy in front hard aor you get shuffled back. It's why once that Hamlin caution happened it became a caution fest.
Larson said in his post race interview, that he was trying to push Blaney around the 18, but he just pushed too much for too long. He hadn't been behind anyone on the restarts pretty much all day
Y’all do know Michael Jordan also owns a basketball team that has never been a contender under his ownership right? Just because Jordan owns the team doesn’t mean it will be successful. Especially with Bubba as the driver. He’s not a top driver. I know some desperately want him to be, but he’s not. All this coverage is doing more harm than good to Bubba by putting more pressure on him. I used to like Bubba, but with all the manufactured hype around him (since last year) I roll my eyes whenever he’s mentioned
Let’s argue: If it was a Chase Elliot/Kevin Harvick/Bubba Wallace or other big name leading when the tire was loose they would have immediately thrown the caution.
The end of the race was the biggest disgrace to racing I've seen in awhile. NASCAR should be ashamed of themselves for ruining the race with their desperation for a GWC.
If chase Elliott was in the lead instead of the 17 the caution would have been out. Nascar clearly didn’t want the 17 to benefit from it. I’ll admit I’m biased because I’m a fan of the 17 but that doesn’t change the facts. You said it well, race manipulation.
Bro "invisible forces" are what allow your favorite drivers to achieve the speeds they do. It's apart of the sport, really fans know that and accept it.
I feel like Stewart might be neglecting his team and focusing on SRX, plus next year is gonna be a whole new car so there's less incentive to improve the existing cars.
End of season news, Hamlin doesn't win championship. Post season Matty D goes to the 10 car. It's really showing that Hamlin won't win a championship. Almorola shouldn't be in a top team. Doesn't show any progress. 2 wins in 10 years, really. One win was a rain and the other was Talladega with no wrecks. Also the Talladega race was a fuel mileage race.

I have watched every race since 2001 and have NEVER seen anything even close to this occur. Absolutely unreal.
One could argue that it did alter the outcome of the race by waiting to throw the caution. Pit strategy changes a bit 20 laps later. Drivers' aggressiveness escalates later in the race. We will never know what might have been, but there is some possibility that the earlier caution would have led to more cautions, fewer cautions, different pit strategy, etc.

The 23 needs a driver. Not meant to be a knock on Wallace. It's just he isn't the caliber driver you need on a start up team.
NASCAR absolutely screwed the 17. Pretty much the same as a driver manipulating a finish.
This was Kyle Bush's weekend. IN addition to yesterday, he also won the truck race on Saturday.
When doesn't Bubba Wallace struggle? Listen to radioactive at Talladega and you can hear Hamlin criticis him.
Nascar the WWE of racing. I think Tony Stewart called it once
The last caution for Bells crash should have been red flagged to clean up the track but instead the wasting like 7 laps to get it to a green white finish.
Noticed that too.
I really don’t like how Nascar forced this green white checkered when they really could of went green with 4 to go
I think SHRs biggest problem is SRX is smokes main focus right now. But Kevin Harvick is light years better than his 3 other teammates
Stupid caution call. Call it early or don't but after 20 laps what the hell changed from 15 ago? Good 1.5 mile race otherwise
I had good things to say about this race until…. It happened.
NASCAR better pray that they make the right decisions moving forward. A lot of people are unhappy and continuing to ignore the fans is a very risky decision.
Let's get one thing straight: Blaney and Larson didn't take each other out. That was ALL Larson.
Eric blaming Blaney for something? What else is new?
It's the rules package thing. You have to push the guy in front hard aor you get shuffled back. It's why once that Hamlin caution happened it became a caution fest.
@@frevazz3364 True. But you can't push in the corners, especially on tracks not named Daytona or Talladega.
Not gonna argue, Nascar should've thrown it immediately or not thrown it at all
Yea
I feel like the 8 lap cleanup at the end of the race was also kind of ridiculous
The end of the race was the biggest disgrace to racing I've seen in awhile. NASCAR should be ashamed of themselves for ruining the race with their desperation for a GWC.
Fun Fact you haven’t watched the whole video yet
Edit: Now you might have
Fun fact, I didnt ask
Yes
not wrong

get rid of aero downforce and get back to mechanical force keeping the cars on the track and this air bubble will have no affect
MANIPULATION AT ITS FINEST. if the tire was safe for 20 laps then let it be, if not then throw the caution.
NASCRAP
If chase Elliott was in the lead instead of the 17 the caution would have been out. Nascar clearly didn’t want the 17 to benefit from it. I’ll admit I’m biased because I’m a fan of the 17 but that doesn’t change the facts. You said it well, race manipulation.
Bro "invisible forces" are what allow your favorite drivers to achieve the speeds they do. It's apart of the sport, really fans know that and accept it.
also why are they taking like 15 pace laps for every caution
This is a very good question.
Glad it's not me alone thinking this.
Lowkey manipulating the race even further
Because nascar wants a GWC it's obvious
Either you throw the caution immediately or not at all. Anything else is manipulating the outcome of the race.
It screwed larson over too. He had a 4 second lead , running away with it. Nascar has it out for Larson
Imagine if there are 16 winners and Denny Hamlin misses the playoffs with the point standings lead
That'd be hilarious. The most Dennyish way to miss the playoffs.
It would be a good case for getting rid of the dumb playoffs.
I feel like Stewart might be neglecting his team and focusing on SRX, plus next year is gonna be a whole new car so there's less incentive to improve the existing cars.
R.I.P Eric McClure 1978-2021
The 23 will never turn around !! The driver is not a driver sorry but you said it . Excuses Excuses !!!
Eric was a good one, glad I had the pleasure to know him
Regarding Bubba's continued bad finishes. He's just not that good. He's a journeyman driver at best.
Appropriate name for this race along with the birthday boy getting this win with his last name on the race name.
They need whole separate team calling the cautions other then themselves.
isnt that the point of Rick Ware Racing?
End of season news, Hamlin doesn't win championship. Post season Matty D goes to the 10 car. It's really showing that Hamlin won't win a championship. Almorola shouldn't be in a top team. Doesn't show any progress. 2 wins in 10 years, really. One win was a rain and the other was Talladega with no wrecks. Also the Talladega race was a fuel mileage race.
Can’t wait for everyone to say Kyle Busch didn’t earn the win even thought he was running in the top ten almost the entire day and had the faster car at the end 🙄
He should have finished 2nd. He was the 2nd fastest car out there.
@@itzbigcat2488 well the fastest car got into the wall and Kyle Busch took advantage of that
@@clemsonfan322scstrong either way he wasn’t the faster car at the end. Larson was screwed by keselowski on the next to last restart. Then made it even worse for himself.
Congrats KFB!!! And for all those saying he didn't earn it 🤷 that's racing. Deal with it. 😂
@@buckgaming258 Larson screwed himself, the 18 deserved the win
If its safe to have the tire there for 20 laps. Then its safe there till race end. NASCAR manipulated this race.
*Busch, Busch everywhere*
FOX again misses a critical moment in the race. We got a in-car/bumper cam shot of Larsens front bumper while Hamlin hits the wall while leading. Again an exciting moment is missed by poor camera shot selection. Too much in-car/bumper cam, meaningless shots and we miss the action again. FOX makes just watching an annoying experience. Again...would you watch a football game from inside some guys helmet??
Wait how was Fox supposed to know that Hamlin was going to hit the wall at that moment? They should have coordinated beforehand?
@@frevazz3364 Wake up. Obviously what I'm saying is...they use that stupid in car/bumper cam too much!! We miss a lot of the action. You would not cover other sports like that. They have it in their heads that we want to feel like we are driving the car...We dont!
Nascar don’t need to start this trash of trying to control the race they are getting new viewers and a lot of people are coming back to nascar this kind of stuff will run people away
Thank you for speaking the truth Eric. I am usually one to consider both sides and see where NASCAR is coming from, but for those 20 laps that tire was sitting there, my jaw was on the floor. I have watched every race since 2001 and have NEVER seen anything even close to this occur. Absolutely unreal.
RIP Eric McClure
So basically,
Busch wins a race sponsored by Busch. Busch won the Busch Clash and the Buschy McBusch Race 400.
The Buschy McBusch Race 400 presented by Busch where a Busch won. A Busch car finished 2nd and he probably drank a Busch afterward
Everyone is wondering when Hamlin if going to win a race this year. I’m wondering when Wallace is going to finish better than 16th this year.
