Ive had the pleasure of seeing every race this year. This was probably my favorite. So much fun and so different and besides those cautions after restarts it was dope!! My boy brad stayed quiet and avoided madness!!
Gotta be thinking 23XI has a break coming considering this season has started as nothing but bad luck. If it wasn’t for the pit crew error at Daytona, and the cut tire today, they have 2 top tens and who knows what else. Who knows what happens at Vegas if the power steering doesn’t cut out, considering Wallace had one of the fastest cars in that race. Lucks gotta turn eventually. Just need one day where everything aligns.
Amazing race! I am a old school minded fan.I love the history of the sport, and hate that Nascar has gotten so far from there roots and history as many other fans. Nascar has lost alot of fans over the years for this.I am a North Wilkesboro native and will never forgive them for leaving part of there past and forgetting where they came from. With that said today wa amazing to say the least. Besides the dirt on Bristol being so awsome the racing was more like the old Bristol. Racing all over! Thumbs up on the race Nascar.
35% at best. I thought it was horrible. The track coming up. And craters in the turns. The Horrible dust . The no seeing out of the windshields, it was horrible. IMHO. No burms, to make a SWEET TOP groove. That is what makes dirt racing so much fun. The top and the burm vs the bottom , it was a 1 lane race track. PERIOD
And I'm a 2 time DIRT Stock car champion. So I kinda know a little about dirt racing. AND just for shots and grins. There is a reason ALL ACROSS THE COUNTRY THERE IS FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGNT . DIRT RACES , you have to run these races at night. So the drivers can see better. And the track don't dry out so fast. From the sun. I'm just face palming, wondering why everyone liked it. I didn't. at all .
I was at the race in person and idk if it was just being there or not but that was the coolest thing I have ever seen!!! The racing was great the drama was there all around amazing race. I can’t wait to see it again next year!!!!
Well, they turned out a great race. We needed that. Enjoyed all the twists. Back to driver skill rising to the top. Dang, I bet those are fun to drive.
i liked the dirt race, maybe nascar needs to do more nostalgic events throughout the season, for example maybe they should run older cars, like the cars from the 90's (Lumina, T-Bird etc) or maybe re-create the beach track in daytona
I'd never seen a dirt race before in my life but I absolutely loved it yesterday. Probably says a lot about how good traditional dirt racing series are (or how much I'd enjoy them).
I don’t think Hamlin deserves criticism why should he bump him to win? Hamlin does that and let’s say he wins? Logano would repay the favor at some point! Why would any sane person want logano to owe them one! You don’t do that till later in the year!
I think the race was entertaining but I still do not think it was better than a normal Bristol race. I would like to see the 2 regular races return and add a Dirt race to the schedule whether it be at Bristol or elsewhere!
HISTORIC SUCCESS!!! and super happy for jones bringing petty back. he kinda is showing why he should be back in a premium ride. i was not a jones fan til eric epstepp.
Both. It was hyped and it was good. Stage 2 was incredible with the tire burn off and lap traffic. There are things they can improve on for next year though for sure. Shorter race/more durable tire, figuring out how to get the high line going, visibility issues. I think next years race should be night time with lights in the rear window like endurance racing. Eliminates the sun glaring the dust and through the dust you can see other cars
I was never so glad to be proven wrong! Kudos to the BMS track preparers and to NASCAR for putting on a great show. If they tie the Dirt Nationals to the NASCAR weekend next year as they did this year, the cost of track preparation would make it worthwhile, especially if more fans are allowed next year, and considering they will probably just store this years dirt (clay) at the track like they did with a portion from 2001. We saw some really great racing in the Dirt Nationals, and it was a great buildup to the NASCAR weekend. I love dirt racing!
I haven't watched an actual race, in a few years, but dirt is just such a big wrench to throw into the nascar mix that its unavoidable. Fun race, Great on suarez
I really loved that teams had to do so much adjustment to their cars. I loved seeing how crew chiefs had to work on it and make changes and see how guys got better. Now let’s get them to Knoxville.
I hope they run it at night next year. It was a present surprise with a good mix up in the finishing order. Good to see. The World Of Outlaws are going to put on an amazing show and I wish I was in town for it.
The simple solution/improvement is more dirt, so that the asphalt doesnt peak through and make things kind of poo, giving it more dynamic lane options. Also, a denser type of dirt would aid in the dust problem, and a different suspension setup for the cars with more steering angle (drift style).
Want to make a couple points, and you touched on one of them....all of these guys drove other types of cars on the way up, obviously. Yeah, having a little dirt experience might have helped, but these guys are Cup drivers because they are among the best in the world. Think back a few years, to the old "Prelude" race at Eldora. Drag racing champ Ron Capps ran in it. Not only had he never raced on dirt, he never raced on an oval period. Was he really fast...no, but did he embarrass himself...not at all. Very respectable lap times. One more thing, and as a dirt racer, I can say yes, it matters, bit even the " ringers" have never driven a car this heavy on dirt. A Late Model is around 2300 pounds...big difference. Anyways, I loved it, thought it was a good race, and deep down, I'm glad it wasn't the runaway everyone thought it would be.
@@raymond3803 Just so you know, I am a big Chase Elliott and Hamlin fan. In that instance, Hamlin just drove it in a bit too deep and got into Elliott. Just a mistake on Hamlin's part.

I agree with Eric, I was worried about the fact that it was BRISTOL that they were filling up with dirt. But wow, this was no Champ Off-Road Crandon Cup race, but it was definitely impressive. Props to NASCAR and BMS for setting up this race to be as good as it was.
I think Clint Bowyer made a good point that problems were going to be inevitable. Now that all of the mistakes, oversights, and misfortune all happened this year, NASCAR will hopefully be more prepared. I thought it was pretty fun to see cars searching for grip and it really gave a change for guys like Stenhouse and Suarez to shine.
I think it’s stupid to think that this race sucked. Yes, it was a bit of a wreck fest but at the same time so was the Roval? So was the 2019 Dega Fall race yet Bristol gets most hate. In my opinion it was a great race. I think the finish could have been better if Denny didn’t go high and could have maybe had a bump and run finish but hey it was still a great race IMO! Solid 9.8/10
Everything was great today except the winner... I wouldnt mind them knocking the windows out completely & adding a 2nd dirt race (Maybe the All-Star race @ the dirt track in Charlotte for example). I think a dirt road course would be a fun watch as well.

I think there can easily be 10 or 11 winners in 11 races because guys like Harvick, Hamlin, Keselowski, Kyle Busch, and Elliott have not won yet
AMAZING SUCCESS AND THEY SHOULD ALSO GO TO ELDORA AND KNOX AND BRISTOL AND ONE OF MARTINSVILLE RACES AND DO MINIMUM 4 RACES! YOU LITERALLY COULD SAY NASCAR DRIVERS ARE MOST ALL AROUND DRIVERS IN WORLD BETWEEN ROAD COURSES, SUPER SPEEDWAY, MILE AND HALF, SHORT TRACK AND DIRT! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE WHAT NASCAR IS DOING I AM NOT JOKING! I HOPE NASCAR KEEPS PUSHING FOR MORE!
Quit yelling...lol
Ive had the pleasure of seeing every race this year. This was probably my favorite. So much fun and so different and besides those cautions after restarts it was dope!! My boy brad stayed quiet and avoided madness!!
I’m ready to call Fox Sports a prophet because so far 2021 has truly been one of the better seasons in recent memory
How about Erik jones coming in 9th in RPM mediocre equipment hmmmm
I am a dirt fan and huge NASCAR fan and was worried about this but it turned out to be a gr8 show.
I loved the race. I thought it was super entertaining to watch, especially since I never watch any actual dirt racing.
Watch Sprint car racing on dirt nothing special
@@gregpavitt309 um okay?
I loved this race! Grew up with dirt track racing and seeing nascar going back to their roots was fun! Glad to see Bristol dirt announced for 2022
This was definitely the race that should've been sponsored by Out Of The Groove!!!
Who would have thought that trackhouse racing would get not only a top 10 but a top 5 before 23XI?
Not suprised Suarez is a Xfinity Champion while Bubba has just won races I really like Suarez
HELL YAH WE GOT EM BOIS 🥳🥳🥳
Yes sir #LOGANOWINSBRISTOLDIRTBABY. #22
loved that there was lots of hard racing from the front to the back, lots of side by side. Not boring and not much 1 line train racing
I didn't. at all .
@@Tow_Sr. “I’m a 2 time DIRT Stock car champion” ok buddy
The cup cars and trucks handle so much different than sprint cars or late models
I absolutely loved this! I'm nervous about the NextGen car though and how it will work on the dirt.
This was the first race I’ve watched in YEARS, and I thought it was badass. It made me want to watch again
Hopefully Goodyear can improve a bit on their tire for next year's race. It would have been nice to see what would have happened on a longer run!
I took off work yesterday to see this race only to find out it was pushed to today 😤. Luckily I only missed the first 50 laps.
Daytona Beach would be awesome
Can we have a NASCAR legends series? Old cars with modern safety?
This is the most exciting racing I've seen since 2003. Major success
I'd never seen a dirt race before in my life but I absolutely loved it yesterday. Probably says a lot about how good traditional dirt racing series are (or how much I'd enjoy them).
I couldn't believe how much I enjoyed this race! I'm actually glad they're doing it again next year
Be honest, Eric. You spent all weekend working on that opening monologue. Hey, I don't blame ya. Great episode. Keep em coming!
I would like to see the 2 regular races return and add a Dirt race to the schedule whether it be at Bristol or elsewhere!
pit stops, were interesting, crews could make big adjustments, fix things even cut off damaged panel to get cars better or at least back in the race
HISTORIC SUCCESS!!! and super happy for jones bringing petty back. he kinda is showing why he should be back in a premium ride. i was not a jones fan til eric epstepp.
Hate to tell ya but had Bell not ran out of talent Larson would have ran away with that race.
This was really good and not just because I'm biased being a Joey Logano fan. The racing was very good and the tires did much better than expected.
Great race and great drive by joey logano awesome win for joey.....wow great race
I really liked the races today. It’ll be interesting to see how the next gen car does on dirt
It was different, but if they want to do it again just go to Eldora. Most of the time you couldn't see anything
We were at this race and I’ll tell you now. Bring goggles and hair protection!!!!!
That's what I said too. 2 dirt races on the schedule would be sick
I hope they run it at night next year. It was a present surprise with a good mix up in the finishing order. Good to see. The World Of Outlaws are going to put on an amazing show and I wish I was in town for it.
If they return next year, it will be much better. I look at this as a testing session for the future.
The simple solution/improvement is more dirt, so that the asphalt doesnt peak through and make things kind of poo, giving it more dynamic lane options. Also, a denser type of dirt would aid in the dust problem, and a different suspension setup for the cars with more steering angle (drift style).
Hahahaha. There was no pavement poking through. They had 3 ft of dirt. That was rubber build up lol
Hamlin is not the driver to be aggressive, one of the reasons why I like him.
Right-O, Like when Hamlin punted Elliott @ Martinsville.
@@raymond3803 Just so you know, I am a big Chase Elliott and Hamlin fan. In that instance, Hamlin just drove it in a bit too deep and got into Elliott. Just a mistake on Hamlin's part.
@@dc53044 Cover them all with dirt I say, cause this is true .............
If you haven't seen Hailee Deegan on dirt...Well....You're just letting the best in life pass you by.
I agree with Eric, I was worried about the fact that it was BRISTOL that they were filling up with dirt. But wow, this was no Champ Off-Road Crandon Cup race, but it was definitely impressive. Props to NASCAR and BMS for setting up this race to be as good as it was.
Loved Monday evening Nascar, honestly could’ve started it a couple hours later to have Monday night nascar but still a great race
It raced like old Bristol just with a little less grip coming off the corner
