- This is the first of a series of vids on the new ACH laws and how they effect prospectors. Please keep in mind that these are my personal views and you need to do your own assessments.
Thanks Tony for taking the time to explain the new ACH rules. We’re one of those visitors who are planning on our first trip this year to WA. I was previously feeling totally confused by the process of trying to access some ground but now I’m dumbfounded. We just want to pass through and have a crack while we’re travelling around Australia but it sounds like we need to do some serious research/ training before we even get over there. Thanks for the video.
Another great video Tony. It all comes down to the research you do before you go out there as you said. Thanks again.
Thanks Tony, well done, look forward to the next video
Thank you Tony for the information looking forward to seeing you next video. Stay safe
thanks Graeme
Cheers Tony. Thanks for sharing your opinion.
very welcome Christopher....you know what they say about opinions!
Nice work again Tony thanks for the vid keep up the great work 🍻🍻
Thanks Tony. As always I appreciate your opinion and knowledge is very welcomed.
Glad the aussie gold camps went well for all involved, deliberately have left you alone during this period. Heading up again in the morning. I'm glad you have addressed the ACH as I wanted to hear your thoughts on this subject. Alot of fear out thier.
Hopefully catchup for a coffee when I'm in the neighbourhood.
Stay safe and hope the gold gods smile along you both.
cheers Mike...see you soon
Good video, Tony. Nice to hear someone reminding people that for every right and privilege we have responsibilities and obligations that go with them.
Dave
cheers Dave.
Thanks Tony. Some good advice.
It's now a more defined (ACH) hoop to jump thru to prospect.
BTW, you have lots of mates.
Thanks John.
A gentleman sitting on his excavator telling others not to use a rake is hilarious
hi, I have had that leveled at me several times. Yes....I turn dirt over....the difference is....I am permitted to do it AND I have satisfied all my due diligence requirements. The majority of people that rake have no idea and more importantly no concern where they do it.......big difference....but I do thank you for your comments.
There is no difference
Rake wielders are allowed to do it and the legislation applies to all equally
If you could quantify your bold statement with reference I would not be responding
Thank you for the informative videos I do appreciate the effort and commitment you put into them
@@eragon2450 You are quite correct in saying it is legal to rake, but that is where the similarity ends. I have to rehab all my work....not so with 'rakers'. I have any disturbance areas approved...not so with 'rakers' and the list could go on. I made it clear that I do not like raking and more importantly that it serves little purpose and so that is where my comments were 'coming from'....I thought I was pretty open about it. Perhaps I should spend my time lobbying for a required permit for raking and a rehabilitation requirement! I am always open and take heed of constructive criticism and thank you again for your comments.
www.dmp.wa.gov.au/Documents/Minerals/Minerals_-_Seven_golden_rules_for_prospecting.pdf
the seventh golden rule for ALL prospectors fill any holes that you dug and repair ground that has been disturbed
The scale of rehabilitation is relative
You are going on somewhat but you wil need a bigger excavator to get you out of this hole
When you state the majority of prospectors (who use a rake) don’t care or are ignorant of the rules it’s going to piss some people off
Nothing personal best Regards
whats wrong with raking the ground?...i dont understand that?..
I love you vids Tony, but to comment while standing in front of a rake?
Thanks Tony hoping to learn more - you doing well. I looked on a pending im planning to go to and theres no ACH anything regarding rhe lease so does that mean nothing to be aware of? Interesting Native Titles head bag to Perth Legal solicitors looking after their land titles wonder for how much that the bleed out of them?
G'day m8. Your points are valid. Let's look at it like this. If it was a cemetery it would be marked on the maps. Just like forestry or no go zones. Colour coded as in active or pending or mining. Why can it not be coded as above. Pretty simple realy. Let us take the guy that does plan a trip to the Gold fields in W.A. from the east. Plans it researches it applies for a 40E and at the last minute it is logged as a cultural heratige site. His whole trip is inactive. The government is applying laws and rules for idiots. Most fossikers are dedicated and professional by nature.
To me the rules and regulations should all be in one place not scattered all over the place
Good speech . There seems to be a lot of new national parks or additions and marine reserves in the process as well which seems like it will be a annual thing to add a set percentage every year until there is no land left that anyone can access without paying something or getting fines .
I think we would embrace the protection of aboriginal heritage and be all for it if it didn’t involve $ and was just to look after it like it was our own .
I agree with your last comment Scott...it's hard not to be cynical.
Leave nothing but footprints respect the bush no matter who you think you are ✌️
Don’t vote labour back in
Gday Tony, do you think Trilobite would show these areas in the future?
I wouldn't think so and it would not matter...your DDA (due diligence assessment needs to start on the AHIS)
Good morning dear ❤
Hello, The new ACH changes have been postponed for 12 months.
can you please put a link up to this postponement?
not that I'm aware of.
@@auintogold4725 it's not....prob just my explanation!
It hasn't been postponed. The WA government had an amnesty on fining people. Over the next year, there will be more consultation and amendments before its placed in full effect on 1 July 2024. Professional full-time prospectors are going to have a tough time of it with approvals.
Tony I have reached out via Messenger … are you able to respond?
responded
Is it a way to say it? Yes, you have rights, you have rights to respect The land and the people that came before you.... While you're doing your job. And you didn't say it right? Do your Do diligence
Not 100% sure what your saying??
@@goldtalkleonora6881 My apologies voice to text on my phone sucks from time to time
@goldtalkleonora6881 My statement was
yes you You have the right to prospect to is with heavy equipment or metal Detectors As long as you got the proper permits to di so.... But show respect to the native population and their heritage while doing it..... I'm married to a cree indian (native american)...... I happened to see it from both sides
@@JesseJames-rq4ee Now I get it....yep....agree 100%
Thanks for posting this Tony. Very useful, and by the looks of it quite straightforward for detector operators. I hope!
