345CL Excavator Pulls Out 2 Deere Dozers From a Canal "Stuck?"
Вставка
- Опубліковано 27 чер 2010
- We were trying to finish grade the slopes along a new highway when the 650H slid down the slope into the canal and the 750J tried to pull him out, an also fell in. Good thing we had the 345CL there to rip them both out.

Love that the 650 was straight dragged out! He wasn't even turning his tracks like the 750 had been!
two of the best dozer operators ive ever seen. engines must of been getting hot so they thought they'd cool them off in the water
💯🤔

That guy running the 345 is a real pro. One wrong move on the controls and he would have done some serious damage to the dozers he was pulling out.
Nice job, fella!
one wrong move and $10000.00 of damage, the swing shovel driver knew exactly where to place the bucket without damaging the rams on the dozers
Edward Hara You notices how he keeps the 345 on the road nice and square and always plenty of pavement between him and the ditch?
@@studinthemaking that is a man with A LOT of hours in that machine, he knows what it can do and how to do it.

Begging the question - htf did they get there in the first place?
We had a 245 on site in North Gadsden building a cell site that last week there I got to run it and I had a blast .. that 345 is a SERIOUS machine ....
Didn't realize who I was watching until I saw the Arch in the background. Glad you boys got them out.

I'm always amazed at how much can be done with and by these big pieces of equipment by the Talented Machine Operators. GOOD JOB!!! 🤔😮😁👍🤗😋

How did he not bust those rams off at the blade.....??? He's got the right touch on that excavator.
Very cool video, my 3 year old son loves excavators and we both enjoyed watching this rescue
Considering the slope and the apparent soil conditions was putting that piece of equipment to the task at hand a very good idea?
Sick Bastd You must be management to make a such a skillful observation.
Gotta do what equipment you have available though.
not at all, mud/clayey soils arent dozed.
u gotta use a big bucket shovel to excavate them and move.
though the soil here was not mud, but water banking made it so. also it was a loose soil, probably an uncompacted fill or dump, so the dozers had no traction which made it worse.
Sick Bastd

You would be surprised as to how easy it is to walk a machine off perfectly fine ground into complete disaster.

The 345CL operator had his skills and precision in order :D Fantastic!! :D
Interesting video! All three guys did a great job in salvaging the dozers not just the excavator operator. He did a great job too but from a more comfortable position: high and dry and with apparently much more power in his machine. I always wonder why people continue working under these circumstances of mud and steep ramps. You may be killed if the dozer doesn't just slide into the mud but tumbles down.

John, good observation, but I would like to point out 2 things. 1, the grouser height on that excavator is pretty low, so the damage to the road is minimal. 2, the operator knows it's not the best practice to drive on the road, and that is why he intentionally did not rotate the tracks at all.

What a crazy idea to run the dozers on that slope in the first place - all bank work could (and should) have been done from the hardtop using the digger. From the look of the ground it looks like a good storm would wash the banks away - how long before the whole road ends up in the drainage canal???

Excavator operator is very good driving
How did they get in there? And why did the second guy follow the first guy in?
Seems weird seeing this while the traffic goes past. If this was in the UK.. Firstly, as the dozers worked there'd have been 5 miles of cones along the road and a 40 limit with average speed cameras. Then to retrieve them, a site set up with a 2mph speed limit, full PPE required to enter, a risk assessment every hour, dangly orange flags off every electricity wire or phone line within 2km, then before any rescue could take place a 3 month wait while the RSPCA try and catch any endangered reptiles in buckets along a specially setup plastic fence by the water.
I thought our construction took a long time. I'd hate to live over there.

Are you the type of person who will read as much as possible about potential investments and ask questions about them? If so, maybe you don't need investment advice. But if you're busy with your job, kids, or other responsibilities, or feel like you don't know enough about investing on your own, then you may benefit from professional investment advice.
Investment professionals offer a variety of services at a variety of prices. It is worth comparing stores. You can get investment advice from most financial institutions that sell investments, including brokerage firms, banks, mutual funds, and insurance companies. You can also hire a broker, investment adviser, accountant, financial planner, or other professional to help you make investment decisions. Some financial planners and investment advisors offer a comprehensive financial plan, evaluating all aspects of your financial life and developing a detailed strategy for reaching your financial goals.
Remember, there is no such thing as a free lunch. If professional financial advisers are working for you, they get paid for their efforts. Some of their rates are easier to see right away than others. But, in all cases, you should always feel free to ask questions about how and how much your investment professional is paid.

+tackless Yes Sir! Slow is fast, fast is slow!
+tackless Yeah, I used to service these in a past life. I admire anyone who can use one of these efficiently and safely. You could really tear something up but good if you don't know what you're doing.
You can tell his touch is gentle and accurate. I was actually really worried he'd tear those blades apart, but it seemed to work.
bulkshit! could of easily been done twice as fast but if it gotta be explained how to you then you would never understand in the first place
Yeah, the guy in the Deere is no slouch either. Lot's of team work there with throttle and peddle manipulation.
Just goes to show the strength of the rams that they were able to take that pressure without the blade being pulled off it! Great machines.

Good operator on the trackhoe, just remember, when you see your machine going down, STOP and put in in reverse don't keep going. And most people that pull machines out use heavy cables, don't ever try a chain unless that's all you have

Operator is dumb as fuck
I use to run heavy equipment . I wonder what possessed these two geniuses to take a dozer in those conditions. I could look at that and know I would get stuck with dozer
Other people have said, they were grading when it was dry, and had parked them there and there was a heavy rain over weekend.
I did not realize that excavators were so strong. It pulls the dozers like they were made of paper. Very cool. And the way he gently did it was a very skilled operator. I'm impressed!

Having worked for Caterpillar dealers for the majority of my life, this warms my heart.
The second stuck deere seemed to not have the power to drive the tracks. The operator wasn't helping the cat driver at all. The deere was just being dragged everywhere.
2nd dozer driver doesn't have enough brains to walk and chew gum at the same time.
if he drives he probably slips back again , the tracks are filled with mud
The crawler was able to turn the tracks. The driver however was less capable than the machine.
Is the 2nd stuck crawler was labouring while trying to turn the tracks. Where is the smoke from the exhaust stack?
It's amazing how powerful a 345 is! I once pulled some concrete trucks up to a foundation we were pouring with a 245, which I believe is just an older 345. I'm not an operator, but we also owned the development company on the site and I had CAT keys, so when it started pouring down rain 5 minutes before the concrete trucks got there I went and tracked up the 245 a couple lots to pull them up the hill to the forms. These front discharge concrete trucks were nothing for that 245! I accidentally pulled a couple of them up in the air and they were WAY pissed off, LOL. Honestly, one driver wanted to beat my ass! I was only 22-23 and was doing my best, but I was yanking them around like toys. Good thing the foundation guys had my back! I was nervous as hell and was trying to help, but scared at the same time. It was really stupid, but we finished the pour in a storm and no one got hurt and didn't break anything. Would have been 70 yards gone if I wouldn't have jumped in and did it. Never will forget how effortlessly that machine pulled them up the hill. On top of that, it had a huge high yard bucket on it for loading up off-road trucks, that that made it a little more difficult. I kept apologizing to the truck drivers and the foundation crew forman told the drivers to shut the hell up and told me to keep going, they'll live, LOL.
Radiator must have gone bad of those dozers
Good thing the hie operator had some sense. Dozer operators need to be back on the shovel crew.
