I honestly would've done 4+ playthroughs before I even had a single clue there was an 'illusory wall' behind the chest with an entire area inside. Zero chance I was gonna find that without a lucky accident or the internet.. I killed Mohg, opened the chest & never once thought to turn back or look behind the chest, I guess it's supposed to be super deviously hidden

Open the door across from 2:34 and you get a short cut so you can come back or if you die.

If it helps, at 2:33 open the door in front of you. If you die at the goblins or fall down, when you respawn you can cut out the first 2.5 minutes of this video...
