So the robot is doing a porter's (transporter) job, not a nurse's job. That does not relieve my burnout. Someone who can deal with the patients call light will.
Not really....ive been a transporter, cna, phlebotomist, educator, patient navigator, emotional supporter, social worker, must i go on? ...some help is no help...but it comes to addressing burnout its better to hire more nurses and help alleviate patient to nurse ratio than buy these stupid robots yes....but the robots are cute
The robot is not meant to eliminate nurses by any means. However, I wager that hospitals are loaded with logistically silly (for humans) and mundane tasks. Better to automate them.
"Like giving meds....".............are ya'' freakin' kiddin' me? I am an RN...some RN must 'sign off' the bot...I would not be that bot....I know medical litigation....bot's don't go to jail....
No, Moxie should not be giving PRN pain meds. Moxie should be passing water, getting blankets, snacks, the tasks pcts should be doing instead of the nurses. Then I could get my charting done in a timely matter.

Looks like a big liability. What if the system fails and there is a med error? What if patient falls (common with elderly and dementia patients)? Will the hospital blame the robot or the nurse lol I see big lawsuits coming.
This is a marketing gimmick to get people to come to the hospital. “Look at our fancy robot that helps people”. It’s doesn’t help the staff it wastes time.

we need to go full replacement for ever. we have to replace doctors as well. this will decrees the cost of health care by at least 1000 percent. no need to train stupid doctors who always think about money rather than other peoples lives. you know how many people dies each day because of doctors error. you know how much we pay for those stupid doctors.
It is disgusting that robots keep taking our jobs... How will supose people make money and pay their rents if they can't find jobs... Dark times we live in :(
Taking jobs? Bro unless you work the floor of a hospital you don’t know the hell your talking about, a robot will never replace a nurse but omg I would give anything for a robot to take my labs or meds delivered than me having to walk and waste my time away from my patients for these tasks to be done by something else.
😂Do you even know how bad the nurse shortage is in US and worldwide? We are so short that we need to import Filipino from Asia to ease the shortage and it's still not enough. We have less children every years but way more old people from previous population, robots can increase the productivity. And I bet you, even with robots, we will still being short with nurses in the future, the productivity robots provide right now simply just not enough to catch up
we are not away they just dont want to do it. we are going to land human on mars and you telling me we can not build a robot to lift a patient from his bed and put it back.
One day this tech will definitely advance to point of doing more complicated tasks, but if it can make and deliver coffee, that is already a milestone.
Better put your trust in this ROBOT. Thats CEO talk that I was talking about three or four years ago and people in Michigan been beefing with me as a nurse for my innovative ideas! True innovation seems to be possible in the profession but only by certain nurses!
Moxi will take over many jobs, tasks within the hospital. It's cute and cool right now until your job is GONE!! Here in my hometown they have robots doing g heart surgeries. Been that way for a decade now. They got robots in the rooms of patients that need 24hr supervision. The floor cleaner no longer is manned by anyone. Goes and cleans on its own. Walmart and Sam's club has had this for 3-4yrs now. They've got a Robot in a Apple store here in town. They've got Robots that have been working at McDonald's in Cali. The Aldis are also self check out. Heck my family and I were in Vegas on the strip and we walk by this bar, immediately stopped to take a double look at a robot is making drinks behind the counter. Nobody was making any with it, the bot was doing it on its own. Why the wait staff were just feeding the orders in. Bartender Job there? Gone! So, yall keep viewing it as cool and it's helping us. No! It's getting rid of your jobs in a slow yet fast way. They have to create major shifts in crisis situations to bring about massive changes for the minds of the masses to accept it and not question it. Instead, it's about time they did this, we need this sort of technology etc etc. Wake up, or dont!
Deliver trays water and snacks needed supplies to staff who are in isolation rooms Pillows Deliver to nurses pain medicine requests from patients Go get a hospital chair to discharge a patient Deliver this stool sample to the lab Go find the nurse for this room number and tell them there are urgent vitals being recorded Go get me a commode Go find me a walker Take the bed out of the room and take it to storage Go stock gloves in the rooms and change out sharps containers Go charge this patients phone Go mop the urine off that floor until it's not sticky Go tell this patient thier snack request is not approved due to thier diet amd print them out an info page Get me a pen an ama form

MOXI sucks. We have two of them where I work. They are slow to deliver things. One of them even fell down some stairs a couple of years ago (head fell off). Now they have MOXI handlers that follow the robots around. Just give me a runner. I curse MOXI every time I see it.
Hmmm slippery slope but I can defo say there is nothing like human touch. Cant see this replacing nurses anytime soon but someone has found a way to make money so.....
Could the robot be the one to take the verbal abuse from the patients visitors? And also answer their millions of questions?
L😂L ie. Lots Of Logic
if this becomes more common watch them give nurses more patients because this robot is doing " part of the work" to ease up assignments.
So the robot is doing a porter's (transporter) job, not a nurse's job. That does not relieve my burnout. Someone who can deal with the patients call light will.

A robot that can deal with a patient’s call light will take your job though
Rather see Moxy deal with the disgruntled family members and do baths!!
😂

Can moxie transfer patients?
What a wonderful concept! The robot nurse has the potential to significantly impact nurses' support and wellbeing.

Nothing they can blame it all on a lifeless robot
Moxie should give prn medications for pain especially injections, answer patients call lights, deliver meal trays to patients rooms.
And then i would have no job
@@jennifermoriarty2188 then you could get your charting done

The tube system does that and is cheaper … show me one that can pull patients up in bed , get drinks , turn off the light , etc.
No thank you! I'll take a real live person thank you!
