It's worth noting that this is a truly excellent sketch in which not a single SNL cast member says a word. It's just the host and the musical guest, and they're both fantastic. I can't think of another sketch that does that.

Well except Bill Hader who kind of ruins the joke at the end by spelling out what the joke is supposed to be. But, you know what, he gets a pass because he's Bill Hader.

I always thought that was him realizing he was one beat too early and trying to delay his stride while staying in character.
That's not what he's doing at all. He's mimicking the mannerisms of a restaurant host interacting with people at their table. Smiling, with the fingers on the lips.

Watch the black mirror episode with Jon Hamm it's called White Christmas season 2 episode 4 and no you don't need to see the other episodes before there all stand alone episodes. You wont be disappointed.

I remember watching this when I was a young lad, it stayed in the back of my mind for a while until I stumbled upon it again recently, man is it funnier than I remember
jon is so perfect in this and michael is so hilarious. they both did so well. michael looks so unhappy and unsure at the beginning, and you think maybe he isnt that good at acting or maybe he's nervous, and then you watch the rest of the sketch and you realize how great he is
That's exactly what I was thinking. "Michael looks really stiff in this sketch." And then the rest of the sketch played out and I realized what a fantastic job he did!

Michael Bublé really did incredibly here. The fact that he had to sing everything and the panic so prevalent in his voice are what give this sketch life.
The look Hamm gives Buble at 2:28 while holding that tray of ham is so hilarious and terrifying 😂

Well obviously Jon Hamm is great in everything. But I was extremely surprised and pleased to see that not only can Michael Buble act, but he has fantastic comedic skills as well!

This should go down in the list of best SNL skits. These two play well off of each other here. You don't even need to know who they are in order to appreciate the comic situation - one is a crazy hollywood star who thinks he's hit on an incredible idea and is willing to go to great lengths for the name connection while the other is a poor coerced singer forced to change his name and perform by his psycho partner. The music is very catchy too.

Bublé's facial expressions and his seriousness are what make this sketch so great and funny . If he was breaking character or even chuckled once, the whole thing would be ruined

Jon Hamm has the amazing ability to be silly and be intense and scary. I did not know that until I saw him in baby driver. He was so charismatic and happy, the whole movie, until he wasn’t.
