I do appreciate the video but yes this is a very common issue on the suburban doors you may notice the lock us hard to operate manually when this happens they originally go all the way down but the rivets fail in the lock actuator there and you just have to rivet it back into place again and the window will operate as intended once more

I'm getting ready to do this. 95 Chevy suburban k1200. Now for changing the door handles and fixing the actuators on those same doors.

1996 Suburban front window passenger side is stuck and cant lower all the way down.. gets caught on something and now the door lock cannot even be manually locked.. also had one of the windows get stuck in part way down position.. And the electric lock mechanism in a rear door seems to be stuck before locking or unlocking completely. - For now the big issue is i can't lock passenger front door manually or with power either.

I have a 1996 chevy tahoe LT dos this solve the same issue with the back windows?

Nope! Sadly not, because your car is too short, the rear wheel well actually stops this from happening in your car. The back windows don't have anywhere to go essentially

Will this work on a 03 Silverado full extended cab?

If you know that your rear windows are supposed to go down all the way but they don't, then you may have the same issue, but I don't know if they're supposed to go fully down from the factory or not

I have the same model and color. One of my windows goes all the way down and the other doesn't. I am wondering what the factory default was.

Pretty sure they're supposed to go all the way down, looks like a rivet or something fails on the inside and the window motor itself falls and blocks the window

So it’s the door lock actuator. The rivits fail and allow it to rotate out and it blocks the window from going up and down.

There has to be a way to get the tahoe window all the way down

Maybe cutting the glass a certain way?

Did you try to do the other door without cutting the hole

Nope, we haven't tried the other side yet

It would be worth a shot if you can get away with just one drilled hole and some scratches on your arm.

It's a safety feature for little kids that don't listen hard to fall out if they can't fit through the window
