Yes. Completely full of 💩! 👍🏻 Final Chapter at #7? WTF are they thinking/smoking especially putting it under the remake and Part VII? They must be dyslexic or something. 🤷🏻♂️😡
Oh, no- _Part 3_ is definitely more than just a rehash. The character writing in the film is actually pretty smart and observant. More thoughtful than the original film, especially. Don't trash talk the 8th film. It's one of the franchise's best. Easily.
Reviewers: "Friday the 13th Pt. 2 (or 3, or 4) is bad because it doesn't bring anything new to the series, it's just more kids getting killed in the woods." Also reviewers: "Friday the 13th Pt. 8/Manhattan (or X) is bad because it's not following the formula and is so out of place for the camp killer Jason is."
2 and 3 are inavenitive Jason gets his iconic mask and the axe mark in 3 and 2 made Jason a killer in the first place. Those reviewers and critics are wildin.
@@thomasffrench3639 don’t get me wrong I love 6 too, it’s not my favorite (I prefer 2-4 style Jason) but I also don’t love the way some get about the others but praise 6 if that makes sense.
Other than the origin of the hockey mask, I see no reason to watch 3 over anything, especially 4. Without Savini, a lot of the effects have aged horrendously.
I think it's how you look at it. Jason X is brilliantly hilarious, Sci-FI, b-rated, comedy horror gold. It's so bad, it's good. You can't take it seriously, and you know they weren't serious while filming it. In general, I get more enjoyment out of X than III. Now Jason Goes to Hell.... that one took itself too seriously and didn't have enough kitsch to put it in the so bad its good territory. It would be the bottom for me of these 3.
Not a big slasher guy, but it's telling how many of the critic consensuses mostly talk about the franchise instead of the individual movies. You can't really criticize a movie for being part of a franchise you don't enjoy.
I totally agree with the sentiment as especially in this series each film feels very standalone, and should generally be judged on their own merits. That being said, you can’t really help but compare and contrast certain installments, and if they don’t feel like the offer something you cannot get in the previous entry, it makes sense to criticize it. I mean as a critic, you would probably watch them in order, so comparisons are inevitable
@@thomasffrench3639they compare them to other movies they don’t like and then complain they’re not like the things they don’t like 😂. You can’t win with these people.
The fact that you said that and not the scene of punching the dude's head into a dumpster tells me that you need to reevaluate your opinion of Jason takes Manhattan
I was thinking 3 would have been one of the highest. It has Shelly, the most Iconic location (Higgins Haven) and 'Lore'. It probably had the biggest impact on the series, aside from maybe 6.
It felt like they really looked at what worked in the first film and what didn't and made that tighter film. Darker faster tighter script and more developed characters. They made better use of settings and sound design. It's probably the best film in the franchise for doing everything perfectly.
Every Friday the Thirteenth I take the day off from work and marathon the franchise. I can't watch them all due to not enough time in the day and I found that I enjoyed watching part 2, 4, 6 and 7 all back to back. It really felt like there was continuity in tone as well as story.
@@dkres82 Shortly after the first Friday came out, Siskel and Ebert published the home address of Besty Palmer (as well as a number of Paramount employees) encouraged people to send abusive letters. I find it disgusting that they would risk a people's personal safety just because they happened to dislike a Movie.
@@thomasffrench3639 I understand not liking something, I have no problem with that, I don’t like plenty of genres and Subgenres, but doxing people on national television is just not okay, and a lot more than just not understanding the appeal. I’d also argue that’s not entirely accurate considering Ebert loved Halloween.
Has everyone forgotten the jump scare at the end of part 1?!?! The movie is a slow burn but it pays off with a decent plot twist, a savage brawl between Pamela and Alice, and just when you think the movie is over, tops it off with one of the best jump scares in cinema history!
Part 1 is a very mixed bad of a movie, but I agree that is the best jump scare ever. I knew it was coming and still jumped in my seat, it’s that effective
The Friday series is my all time fav horror series. I'm sure people will gimme flack for my top five but here goes: 1. Friday the 13th Part 7: The New Blood 2. Friday the 13th (1980) 3. Friday the 13th Part 3D 4. Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday 5. Friday the 13th Part 6: Jason Lives Thanks for the great vid!
This is exactly why I've never put much stock into Rotten Tomatoes scores. Friday the 13th is indisputably one of the most iconic and beloved horror franchises of all time, regardless of what critics say.
This is very true. But they're terrible movies and they tell you why. I love these movies, I have a Jason mask tattoo...but these are awful movies. They're supposed to be. There's nothing wrong with that.
@@BabysitterSky Some of them certainly are, but I don't agree that they're all awful. Parts 4 and 6 for example are how to do slasher movies correctly.
I think it depends. Sometimes they are on the money, but other times they aren’t so great. Like more critics like the first movie over parts 2 and 4 just doesn’t make sense
Most people enjoy action, comedy or drama. But horror is still a niche that gets dumped on by critics who aren't fans of the genre to begin with. It's a strange thing that only really happens with horror movies
I have a friend who always throws these rotten tomatoes ratings in my face for the F13 movies. I can never really say much in response besides "these movies were hated back in the 80s/90s. They were seen as the devil's work." CLEARLY the ratings are off, and I don't know how to explain or show evidence for this fact besides it being obvious.
I gotta say though even among horror critics Friday the 13th is generally viewed as mediocre at best. Jason is kinda like the Nickelback of the horror genre. But yeh, anyone who judges movies based off some critic's score doesn't have an opinion worth listening to.
My order goes 12. Jason X 11. Jason Goes to Hell 10. Friday the 13th remake 9. Friday the 13th pt 5 8. Friday the 13th pt 8 7. Freddy vs Jason 6. Friday the 13th. 7 5. Friday the 13th 2 4 Friday the 13th 3 3. Friday the 13th 2. Friday the 13th 4 1. Friday the 13th 6
My personal ratings are X is my favorite but at around a 6 and my next favorite is V at a score of 4.3. The rest are either ranked as "I never want to watch again" or "if someone wants to watch them then i'll sit through the pain again."
12. Hell 11. Manhattan 10. Jason X 9. Jason v Freddy 8. New Blood 7. New Beginning 6. Remake 5. Part 3 4. Original Part 1 3.Jason Lives 2. Part 2 1. Final Chapter. I will say that the first four I do tend to favor. I love the old creepy woodsie K-K-Kill M-M-Ma movies before Jason became undead. Also Pamela Vorhees was also very creepy and unnerving. Betsy was badass. I definitely have a bit of a different list on occasions. However this is pretty much the list(imo) as it stands and as my favorites personally. I do tend to go to Part 2 quite a bit for some reason. This movie was definitely scary AF. Especially when I first saw this as a child. OMG! So the biggest changes for me is how I change my number 1. I go back and forth. However Jason is brutal and relentless in Final Chapter. Big ups to Ted White. Part 2 is great. But Final Chapter technically has the best characters, the most famous, especially for the time. It had the recap of the series at the start. Tom Savini on make up. And a bunch of brutal ass kills. And the last one we will see (the real) Jason run.
Hell yea! Thanks for sharing your list. I can agree with most of what you said. I’m with you. I also love the old creepie woodie vibes in the original 4 movies. I also think part 2 and the final chapter are iconic as hell.
Even though I like Freddy vs Jason I feel like it was a waste of Tommy Jarvis not being in the movie as the main hero, it would have been great to see him deal with Jason one last time to save the people of Springwood and face someone new to him like Freddy Krueger...A Nightmare on Elm Street character also had to return to help/team up with Tommy.
Critics have always been pretty harsh on slasher movies in general. I feel the low reviews are unwarranted because they're trying to look at these films through the lens of something that they're not which is high art. The fact is they're fun relatively well made popcorn horror flicks. I think both types of movies are valid but one is meant to just be fun and thrilling where as the other is meant to be serious and heavily examined. It would be like going to a really good fast food restaurant and then giving it a bad review because they didn't serve filet mignon. I feel most of the hate these films get from critics is based on their views of what they want these films to be as opposed to what they are.
I think the main issue is the emphasis on originality, especially at the time. That being said if you look at the best slasher films, such as The Burning, The Prowler and The Funhouse they do have fresh score on RT. So it’s not like they dislike slashers, they just tend to be really picky. That being said I don’t think the problem is expecting Filet Mignon, they give plenty of movies that aren’t high art good scores. Stuff like the Evil Dead movies, the original Star Wars, the original Superman, and Killer Klowns from Outer Space get positive reviews, and non of them being high art. There’s something else that bothers them, and I’m going to be frank: it’s gore. Gore is the main reason why these film got so much shit back in the day no matter how well made they were. And playing into this, they also didn’t like nihilistic films, which is why The Thing initially didn’t do well. And at the time, these movies seem nihilistic instead of “fun”. You may think it’s popcorn fun, but to them it’s not fun. It just seems like senseless violence, especially considering this type of violence was shocking at the time. Nowadays this might be quaint, but not back in 1981. Hopefully you learned why critics didn’t like these movies even if some were well made.
@@thomasffrench3639 I don't think Gore is really what makes critics dislike slashers. hell films like the shinning, nightmare on elm street, even texas chainsaw massacre have heavy gore and were well recieved . I do agree that they may find the films nihilistic but slashers especially friday the 13th were hardly boundary pushing even at the time. I completely agree that critics perceived these flaws and these films were far from flawless ( I do think the originality claim is warranted) but for the most part I think it just came down to critics had biased feelings towards the films and thus they would nitpick these films to death instead of just enjoying them for the entertainment that they are. Don't get me wrong a lot of these series had a bunch of stickers especially with the later entries. But there are some downright classics such as Jason lives and the Final Chapter that unfairly got crapped on by the critics.
@@bigkmoviesandgames the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre got mostly negative reviews when it came out, as was The Shinning. But I do see your point. But I think that these film critics just don’t understand why violence is “fun”. I mean how many times have people looked at you weird if you liked horror films. I mean the anti-violence from these critics are well documented, and there’s a video on Halloween 2 from Midnight Moonlight that goes into this a little bit. So from their perspective this just seemed like senseless violence. I’m not saying I agree, but if you look at Siskel and Ebert’s review of The Final Chapter (which is one of my favorite reviews with a verdict I disagree with) and they are kind of right. Now I think their critiques of the film are kind of what make it great. I love the Final Chapter because of how brutally it treats it’s characters that have hopes and are looking for connection just to kill them senselessly. The other films of the series are a lot more light in tone, but I think it perfectly exemplifies their point of view. Final Chapter does have that darkness to it, but at the end of the day it is an entertaining slasher film that uses the brutality to contrast the goofiness and create an effective slasher. But just because I find it fun, doesn’t mean that the critics find it fun. Hopefully, that makes sense.
@@thomasffrench3639 I understand what you're saying and you make some good points. I'm simply pointing out that a lot of their criticisms are biased and unwarranted, not all of them like I said a lot of the later sequels in the series are rather lackluster. Having said that I think that if critics at the time just didn't take these films so seriously( and perhaps they couldn't due to their perceived nihilism or Gore as we previously mentioned) they would have been much less harsh on these films even if they still ultimately didn't like them. Thanks for being civil this was a nice discussion and you made some good points.
@@bigkmoviesandgames you’re actually right, and I think that they should have been more open minded in what they were consuming. But I totally understand where they are coming from. If I had to watch like 20 slashers a year, I would probably get sick of the genre too. And I’m serious about that, there was 26 slashers in both 1981 and 1982 which is 52 slashers in the span of two years. I mean I’m only mildly into the genre, imagine someone who was just indifferent to it, they would hate it by the end of 1981. Not to mention that films like Maniac also existed which were really disturbing slasher movies. I think we forget that, because we used to stuff like Friday the 13th or My Bloody Valentine which are more fun movies
Rotten Tomatoes is pretty reliable when it comes to legitimately well made horror movies, though they aren’t very consistent with the most fun but stupid movies. That is probably because fun doesn’t make a film good.
@@DaleTheBoulder I would consider John carpenters “The Thing” a good horror movie. You’re right, Slasher flicks at the end of the day as a whole are shit, but fun, and I don’t take them seriously.
I was shocked by the fact the guy who played Jason in the remake was introduced as another character. he was the diner cook in part 8 Jason Takes Manhattan
The original was modeled around the structure of Psycho. I think that’s what made it fresh. Between Halloween (1978) and its sequel 3 years later there were dozens of slashers and all the killers were similar to Michael Myers. Pamela Voorhees broke that mold during that same time.
Part 3 was one of the first movies I bought for myself (on beta) so it will always hold a special place in my heart. Seeing it in last place is just mind boggling. If you organize this list by audience score it lands probably where it should be.
The only reason Part 8 is my number 1 of the franchise is because it's so bad it's actually kinda good. It's not a nostalgic type thing, but I will always a soft spot for this movie, and that's why it's my number 1 of the franchise.
The fact they think any of the movies are worse than jason goes to hell is baffling. And the tommy jarvis movie duo is the best. Was the first time jason ever had a human rival and i love that he was willing to stop a kill to go after tommy.
In Halloween ends they say evil changes shape that's in a nutshell what Jason goes to he'll mainly about him hopping bodies basically him changing shape lol
I would say a lot of the times critics are way too kind to horror movies. Like Paranormal Activity and Sleepaway Camp having very positive scores despite being mid horror films. A lot of the time they are too harsh, but much of the time they can be too soft
@@JL13675 I agree, and if it was a standalone film, it would probably get a fresh rating from Rotten Tomatoes. I made a list on Letterboxd about the best slashers, and most of them have over half the critics liking the movie. It's not always fresh, but most are above 50%.
Kane hodder was the best Jason IMHO and the first Friday the 13th wouldn't be my first nor would new blood be in the middle. I liked Jason goes to hell because it setup for Freddy vs Jason and had evil dead references in it
Like you, I’m glad part 1 is ranked so high. I don’t get the dislike for it among some fans. You’re absolutely spot on with all the positive things you said about it. It’s definitely in my top 3 or 4 in the series. Part 2 is definitely my number 1 and has been since I was a kid.
My ranking changes basically every day. Today it is as follows: 11-Jason X 10-Remake 9-Jason Takes Manhattan 8-New Blood 7-Final Chapter 6-3D 5-Jason Goes to Hell 4-Friday the 13th 3-New Beginning 2-Part 2 1-Jason Lives
I just watched the Chucky, Halloween, and F13 videos back to back. I'm convinced that modern audiences just don't like movies shot on film. The classics like original Halloween rise to the top but look how much higher the ones shot on digital climb despite an obvious lack of quality. I love Jason X for the fun factor but it being ranked basically the same as part IV is wild. Cult and Curse of Chucky and the second and third of the David Gordon Green trilogy of Halloween movies...
I think if the Final Chapter was the first movie of the series (ironic) I think it would have a much higher for the tomato meter but the main problem is that by part 4 most people feel the diminishing returns. Part 4 should be a 55%-70% instead of 21%. Part 2 should also be higher, but it does feel a bit pedestrian aside from Ginny so I sort of understand why it’s not a positive score. Jason Lives being 53% sounds about right. It’s not an amazing film, but it’s very fun. But part 1 should not have a positive score. It’s just not a good movie, but it only gets props for it’s influence on the slasher genre. But even with influence considered I would still not give it a positive score. I also think that Part 3 is pretty bad and only stands out for some of the cinematography during the kill sequences.
If you want to make Jgth canon, just think that it was one of freddy's dream demon's the whole time posing as Jason in order to get Freddy some strength back. And in FvJ, Freddy finally gets a little more fear energy to begin to talk again.
jason’s design in the beginning of jason x is so cool looking, i dont see it talked about enough. part 7, and remake jason’s designs are some honorable mentions too.
1st one I ever seen was when we visited my aunt and my cousin when I was little and part 5 was on the TV. Loved the fake Jason falling outta the barn which wish storyline was deeper since the killer was the ambulance guy getting revenge on his son. The guy that actually plays the son with learning disabilities supposedly is 1 of the guys that molested Corey Haim which that's a different subject all together. Loved how they brought him back in part 6. Working at Walmart as a 19 year old we sold the hell outta Freddy vs Jason. 3 and 6 probably my all time favorite though cause Jason is my all time Horror icon. My wife's is Freddy so it was civil warfare in the house when that 1 came out lol😂
@@MadBloodMatt most definitely and Jason is pretty freaking smart which i liked, tunnel systems, traps, and when he tried to lure the rest of the characters out using their friend as bait
Friday the 13 parts 1 - 3 are the best, from a theatrical standpoint, and from a lore standpoint. If you liked the entries that followed, it’s because the first 3 did it in a way that kept people (and the studio) interested for more. None of the subsequent entries would be able to “stand on their own,” because they all would have gone direct to video. That’s not the case with every franchise, but it definitely is the case here.

I just rewatched part 3 after rewatching parts 2 and 4. While it wasn’t very good, it was not as bad as I remember. It is the most generic slasher film of all time with pretty much zero story and really bland characters, but it is kind of fun to point and laugh at how generic it is. It is so cliched and can be entertaining to watch
When you compare Jason Lives to JGTH, certainly Jason has much more screen time. But the thing about Jason Lives compared to the first five (and really it's that way going forward in the franchise) is they no longer wait until the third act to show him from head to toe. You see him the whole movie. The first five movies, the killer is not on camera very much in the first 2/3 of the movies.
IV is my current favourite, and I've come to like V. The rest of my faves: II and VII. The original is a bit slooow, but it has atmosphere and Betsy Palmer.

The only good part of Manhattan imo is when Jason is walking down the street and kicks the boombox
Love when he looks all offended after they pull the subway’s brakes and he busts his ass 😂

My first Friday the 13th, was part 3. That movie, hands down, has the best theme song of all the movies.
Disco baby!
Ya! That disco theme song was amazing❤
I was thinking 3 would have been one of the highest. It has Shelly, the most Iconic location (Higgins Haven) and 'Lore'. It probably had the biggest impact on the series, aside from maybe 6.
You're definitely right about Final Chapter...it's the best of the bunch
I saw Friday the 13th part 3 in 3D at a late night screening with a group of friends, one of my best Friday the 13th memories!
Hell yeah!
I will never understand the hate for Part III. One of my favorites in the franchise
It’s crappy, that’s it. Just because it’s fun doesn’t mean it’s good.
@@DaleTheBoulderI disagree, I watch Friday the 13th for them to be fun. If I wanted a “good” movie I would stay far away from any slasher.
It's the best,
Not only is sackhead Jason the best look, Friday the 13th part two established that Jason took the time to install a toilet.
It felt like they really looked at what worked in the first film and what didn't and made that tighter film. Darker faster tighter script and more developed characters. They made better use of settings and sound design. It's probably the best film in the franchise for doing everything perfectly.
I also love sackhead jason
Only problem I have with Sackhead Jason is that its too close visually to the Town that Dreaded Sundown.
Part 3 and final chapter were my introduction to the franchise.
I love to watch parts 6 and 7 back to back.
I agree, that's always a good time.
Every Friday the Thirteenth I take the day off from work and marathon the franchise. I can't watch them all due to not enough time in the day and I found that I enjoyed watching part 2, 4, 6 and 7 all back to back. It really felt like there was continuity in tone as well as story.
@@tbw_tsa7309 I start at 4 then do 6, 7, Freddy vs Jason
@@Turbo5150 I did 6, 7, Jason Goes To Hell, FvsJ and 10 once. As a Jason AD marathon. Was super fun. All the supernatural elements
Part 3 is the goat that's when he got the mask
You have to remember, back in the 80s most Critics hated most Slasher movies, not just the Friday Movies.
I will forever hate Siskel and Ebert for their insane tirades over Slasher films.
@@dkres82 Shortly after the first Friday came out, Siskel and Ebert published the home address of Besty Palmer (as well as a number of Paramount employees) encouraged people to send abusive letters. @@System_Sega That would be one of the tirades I was talking about, they did something similar with Silent Night Deadly Night.

1. Friday the 13th Part 7: The New Blood
2. Friday the 13th (1980)
3. Friday the 13th Part 3D
4. Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday
5. Friday the 13th Part 6: Jason Lives

6 and 7 are two of my favorite Jason Movies! 7 is so underrated its not even funny!
@@joshuanelson6795 I was generalizing but you're 100% correct.
I can't believe they have part 3 as last!
When Kane Hodder puts the hockey mask on, series picks up for me.
Jason X will always be my favorite Friday the 13th film. The Cryo face smash is the best kill in the franchise
Jason X is a fun time. Fun kills, a hilarious setting and two cool looks for Jason
I'd like to apologize.... but how have I just discovered you channel? I'm looking forward to binging this on my free time.
Tell him that the evidence is in the reviews
I gotta say though even among horror critics Friday the 13th is generally viewed as mediocre at best. Jason is kinda like the Nickelback of the horror genre.
But yeh, anyone who judges movies based off some critic's score doesn't have an opinion worth listening to.

Good list. Close to mine. Jason Lives part 6 is my favorite one.
To be fair, Jason did look pretty lumbering just casually walking on the dock, but he was also running his ass off in the final act.
Great point, seeing Tommy take on both Freddy and Jason would've been a fun time for sure!
Just found the channel and had to subscribe after this video! Keep up the good work!
Rotten Tomatoes wouldn’t know a good horror movie if it jumped outta the water and dragged them to the depths of crystal lake.
I mean most of these movies are mid.
Rotten Tomatoes is pretty reliable when it comes to legitimately well made horror movies, though they aren’t very consistent with the most fun but stupid movies. That is probably because fun doesn’t make a film good.
@@DaleTheBoulder I don’t know about that. Paranormal Activity and Sleepaway Camp have positive scores

Reverse it, and you get mine.
The original was modeled around the structure of Psycho. I think that’s what made it fresh. Between Halloween (1978) and its sequel 3 years later there were dozens of slashers and all the killers were similar to Michael Myers. Pamela Voorhees broke that mold during that same time.
What was the last music at the end of the video? It sounded very retro and I hear it in a lot of videos
Part 3 was one of the first movies I bought for myself (on beta) so it will always hold a special place in my heart. Seeing it in last place is just mind boggling. If you organize this list by audience score it lands probably where it should be.

5-Jason Goes to Hell
4-Friday the 13th

1-Jason Lives
The Final Chapter is everything, is the main Jason film I can never get bored watching over and over
I just watched the Chucky, Halloween, and F13 videos back to back.
Even if part 3 is a rehash and all, that's where Jason got his iconic look. That should elevate it a lot. That's the Jason everyone would recognize.
If you want to make Jgth canon, just think that it was one of freddy's dream demon's the whole time posing as Jason in order to get Freddy some strength back. And in FvJ, Freddy finally gets a little more fear energy to begin to talk again.
nice video man! where did you get that hockey mask in the background?? its AMAZING!

Friday the 13 parts 1 - 3 are the best, from a theatrical standpoint, and from a lore standpoint. If you liked the entries that followed, it’s because the first 3 did it in a way that kept people (and the studio) interested for more. @tbw_tsa7309 Crazy part is that she was less than cooperative. The moviemakers wanted full nudity from her, but she refused. That's how we got to money g-strimg. Lol but true.
1. Final Chapter
2. Jason Lives
3. Freddy vs Jason
4. Remake
5. Part 2

11. Jason Goes To Hell

Same. I still brace myself right before it happens 😂
fantastic video about Jason and Friday 13th franchise as i quite like them even though they're more comedy than horror
I’m truly shocked that Jason X is not last. That’s insane. 😂
One of my favorites is 5 but i also have some rather controversial opinions on horror movies
5 is a damn good time. I dig it.
@@MadBloodMatt thanks! I still have some questionable takes tbh. Next Generation is my third favorite TCM movie...
The simple fact 3 is 12 on the list and this is were Jason gets his mask is mind blowing to me 😂
The fact that 3 is so low is criminal.
Jason Goes to Hell was once a standalone movie, and it was done better when it was called Shocker.
They are insane lol
My list:
1. The Final Chapter
2. 2009
3. Part 2
4. Jason Lives
5. Freddy Vs Jason
6. 3D
7. New Blood
8. Jason X
9. 1980
10. A New Beginning
11. Jason Goes To Hell
12. Jason Takes A Boat
Is there a Nightmare on Elm Street version of this???
Not yet
I’ll never forget watching Jason X in theaters as a kid and saw people walking out. It was not good at all to me lol
1) Ft13 VI: Jason Lives
2) Freddy vs Jason
3) Ft13 VII: The New Blood
4) Jason X
5) Ft13: Final Chapter
6) Ft13 VIII: JTM
7) Ft13 V: New Beginning
8) Ft13 1980
9) Jason Goes to Hell
10) Ft13 II
11) Ft13 III
12) Ft13 Remake
I know this is an unpopular opinion but part 3 and part 5 are two of my absolute favorites I think they might be the best in the series
Interesting opinion, because I don’t like them because they don’t feel like horror films like the other films do
I have them tied for almost dead last in a franchise that has nothing but really fun films. Part 5 is a solid stand alone. I know so many people that list them very high. Easy to see why
@@tbw_tsa7309 in part 5 Jason is possibly more Jason than in any other movie except for the fact that he is Roy Barnes and in my opinion the cast for part 3 has more going on then any other cast except for possibly the final chapter
Jason goes to Hell is a guilty pleasure for me i love it! Its absolute batshit crazy& My 4th favourite in the franchise
The first Friday movie i saw was Freddy vs. Jason so it's really special to me. It led me to watch all of them. Of course that was in the 2000's when i was a teen, and i haven't rewatched all of them many times... which is why i don't remember parts 5, 6 and 9 well enough to rank every movie. But i can say parts 1, 2 and 4 are great and in my top three. 4th one is probably my favorite. But it feels crazy to have part 3 as the worst! I can say for sure part 8 was worse.
