Why not to go with denon x4800h in place of marantz 50 in nearly same price with more power and made in Japan and if not required 4 subwoofers, denon x6700h with all features with more channels and more power may be a good buy 🙏
I have both in different rooms. The cinema 50 sound super musical. The cinema 50 is good with movies because of the musical scores in the film and the better audio separation. The denon is a muddy sound In comparison.
I have both. I like the cleaner separation with my marantz and music with my marantz but I watch my 3800h more. Marantz is too warm for daily listening
They have no radio inside - so they are not AV-R´s (with radio). Thats why Denon calls their devices "ARC". Thats just a musical test - the Denon is better for Cinema-Surround-Sound. At the end they are 95% the same of all internal components and from the same factory (and only 5 real Watts more for the Marantz). The Denon is for Home-Cinema-Users - with better display for configuration but a plastic front. Marantz is for the rich people who wants an more aesthetic look with real metal/alu on the front - and "feel" more elevated with the nice looking "extra" Box for the accessories - which cost you about 200-300€ more.
I'm designing my living room which I will also use as a cinema room, so it's a room with a home cinema. I will only use it to watch films with Netflix, Prime, Plex and blueray films directly from the TV. Not for music. I want to do a 5.1.4 to have dolby atmos. What is the best AV? I made a note of these: DENON X3800H Marantz Cinema 50 Marantz SR7015 Onkyo TX-RZ50 Yamaha RX-V6A Others to consider? I am mainly interested in watching films from the Plex app on the TV (the films I download in blueray and also non-blueray). So have the ability to use Dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital, DTS X, IMAX. If there is the possibility of also using Bluetooth from the smartphone for music, that's fine, but it's something I take into consideration in the background.
Let the AVR depend on the speakers. And instead of plex, try allocating a budget for Zidoo media player for playing local content through hard drive as plex will not read m2ts bluray content.
Hey Tanmay.. I am in a dilemma with both of these products.. For the Monitor Bronze 500 and the bi-polar surround from the monitor audio, which of these will suit best?
Is Denon 3800 supports below 4k pass through or can I get audio from eARC for below 4k video? I think Marantz cinema 50 doesn't support below 4k pass through
Hey Sanjib, The audio and video definitely gets processed in the AVR but they cannot turn a 5.1 to Atmos. They will upgrade it to dolby digital plus and you will get it from audio return channel. The content under 4k will be displayed in the auto format
@@TanmayMehta What about the Marantz cinema 50? Is that also process below 4k audio? Sorry to asking question again..I am little bit confused I am not able to decide which one I should buy?

I think, they want us to watch the main screen and not get distracted by this. Also, it’s suppose to go inside a rack which needs attention only of a calibrator/engineer.
Hey man, very nice video .. can you guide for denon 4700h vs onkyo rz50. I do not want specifications comparison.. but need audio quality and video quality comparison...
Which speakers and what room you planning? Also, what are the room measurements? All these will help in identifying the right product. Denon preferred for Auro3D compatibility
@Tanmay Mehta thanks for replying back. I have put it in my dreaming room. 3.1 system with martinlogan 40i and 30i. Svs Pb 200 pro sub.. my room size is almost 15ft by 20 ft kind of big room ..
Please note I can feel the difference between sound for small details .. rz 50 has 24 bit dac and 4700 has 34 bit with jitter and all.. does it make a difference? Now days both price is same in usa .. so confuse between this 2 avrs ..
Auro 3D is honestly the best 3D sound format, but due to less content Atmos scores better. But Auro 3D is the innovator in providing a 3 dimensional sound in cinema
Thanks for your comment. Sorry we missed it out, as in India we have all the AVRs except for few high ends like Arcam, Anthem, etc. covered only for one year due to power issues.
I think that. And it's very expensive the dirac live option for denon and marantz. Many People disaccording on pioneer for the filter because it is the same for all speaker, buuut, I think that this solution reduce the problem of signal phase. Morever pioneer lx 505 and 805 seem sound better than denon and marantz. I'm very confused
In a real world scenario for movie watching with surround & atmos speakers setup both Cinima 50 and x3800 delivers almost the same output. But for music and stereo speaker setup Cinima 50 is better.
The worst thing about these particular AVRs, when the soundstage Dynamics change within a movie, one will be reaching for the remote control once again and that's regardless what kind of centre channel one is using! Rather than features and channels, if one is looking for a quality sound (especially at low volumes) it would be far more wiser to choose an AVR for its components.
Very rightly said. Also, one can check the Cinema EQ settings in the AVR Setups and in the Input Content device (Loudness Management) to avoid the oscillation of sounds while watching a movie.
that happens only if your setup is configured wrong ;-) and these are not AV-R´s - the "R" stands for radio. Both does not come with radio. thats why denon calls them AVC.
@@TanmayMehta Cinema EQ just drops the highs. Loudness-Mngt ruins the sound imho. It compresses much too much even in "light"-setting and looses so much in the detail of the sound. If you cant hear loud and with dynamics which shakes you and your couch in your room, apartment or house...then buy a good soundbar for much less money.
I second that comparison! That is exactly the debate I am having now. They are the same price. Marantz better quality, but 4800 made in Japan and has more power?

True that. Even we loved it. Though its meant for a rack installation due to the smaller display in the middle.

Marantz Cinema 50 or Onkyo TX RZ 50 which is better? With Focal Chora 806 or Kanto YU6 speakers

Sir my room size is 12x16 and I’m planning to buy Klipsch reference premier 6000F 5.1.2 series. For that can u please suggest the best AV receiver

Sir..Marantz Cinema 50, did not require power Amplifier?
It depends on your speakers and room size. Not mandatory but a power amp will always sound more dynamic!
i didn't see the extra display in Cinema 50 when flipping down the door?
Yes. There is no display underneath
Denon 3800 is details sounding
Marantz cinema 70s is within my budget and I m interest , what about music from 70s?
It’s great too! This is an Upgrade of NR-1711
For klipsch speakers centre left and right which wl be better denon or marantz
I personally like Klipsch with Marantz/Onkyo

The Denon had a bit more bass
