The factory amp in these systems require 2 ohms of resistance. I seen this video is 2 years old and im wondering how the factory amp is handling the 4 ohm sub you installed.
Cheese you better hope you don't have that sub that is hiding under the console there's another one usually under the console that also goes back and they are a pain to get to just figured I'd let you know
If you haven't done it yet and are still thinking about doing it. I read that the box is different from a Tahoe vs a Suburban. Probably because the Tahoe is shorter and the wheel well takes away some space.

Thanks for the video. I just tore mine all apart tonight
I got this situation going on this weekend. Same speaker and truck
Yea bro took me about 20-30 mins really easy and it sounds pretty good for what I paid for it
Did you replace or keep factory amp. I really don’t want to bother buying a amp on such a old truck.
Only changed the speaker itself and that’s it

If my 03 Tahoe doesnt have the 8inch factory sub and box in that location can one be installed from a 02 like yours?

I'm doing that to my Ford Taurus
I did a cut out and put a 10 inch sub
Nice I know that sounds amazing, I took the easy way out 😂
