I am from Austin texas and you hit all my childhood favorites. I have new spots to hit up with my granddaughter now thanks to you. The junk yard is what we called it as kids it was so freaking amazing I lived near there when it was in its beginning stages.

An hour or so away from Austin is San Antonio, where a MUST SEE is the San Antonio Riverwalk. Beautiful sights, beautiful sounds, amazing food.

Glad you discovered cactus, so delicious and good for you. FYI if it’s tough it’s because they’re not fresh. The thinner and bright green are the most delicious. Thicker ones lead to tough skin.

Apparently there was a battle royal between the environmentalists and the developers in Austin in the 70s. Environmentalists won, keeping the developers from clear cutting those beautiful mountains west of town to make tract houses. Now? Everybody is happy about that, because those very hills are beautiful and crawling with multi-million dollar estates.
Where are all those environmentalists regarding all of the nasty filthy tents under all of the overpasses??

After watching your videos, it’s right up your alley. I’d love to see your perspective on it. It’s cave swimming, crawling, climbing, and Mayan skulls and pottery. Just know that you have to have an official guide, because only a few are licensed to go in. Loving the videos!
