  • Guava trees can be grown from seeds. Most videos on growing guava from seeds use or recommend using seeds from very ripe guava fruits. In this video, I show that you can actually grow guava plants from seeds obtained from mature or green-ripe guava fruits. I show results over a 3 month (90 day) period, including how to re-pot guava seedlings and transplanting guava seedlings directly into the ground. I use jumbo guava fruits but this can be done with most other guava varieties. #growguavafromseeds #growingguava #guava

I like that little lick you looped for the music. Giving it a shot with some seeds from supermarket fruits, thanks for the help!

During winter I did this method.... I got the sprouting seeds at day 35-40...whereas in summer I did I got the result in 15 days..

That's normal. Temperature affects germination and crop growth in general so you get faster results in warmer climates. I live in a warm climate. To get faster results in winter you may have to use a heating pad.

Thankyou for sharing this. I am currently experimenting with red malaysian guava seed. I have been soaking seeds almost 2 weeks as I dont know how old seeds are as imported from.Sri lanka. After soaking I will use wet paper towel method and some direct plant into soil. To see which method works best. Can I ask what temperature were the seeds in containers kept at for germination to take place?

Best of luck! The seeds in the container were kept in the room at room temperature (about 30C since it was in a warm climate)

How long to have a fruit??

It takes about 2 years to fruit. If you want fruits in less than 1 year, try air layering. You can checkout my video on this. Here's the link ua-cam.com/video/tdP6qx_fYPA/v-deo.html
