Take your plants to the sink or shower on watering day and rinse the leaves while you water them. Let them drip for a little then spray them down with neem. I’ve been doing that for a while and it keeps the leaves clean and keeps pest populations down. Good luck!
I'm so sorry you didn't like the smell of the neem. I seem to be one of the people who doesn't mind it so much. I hope you were able to get this under control. I heard thrips are particularly nasty because they can fly. I didn't even know the asexual thing.
Neem doesn't work for any pest I've had! Especially not thrips!! I had to use Capt Jack's dead bug brew(active ingredient is spinosad) and I also use systemic pesticide! I know that works. I see the dead thrips on my leaves after treating my plants! Neem isn't used in my house ever anymore!! But good luck to you!
@@MR-D.I.Y neem won't even kill a single thrips. I tested it, I would grab a bug on a q tip and dip it in neem, rubbing alcohol, and a few diff pesticide sprays, Capt jacks did the best, but the reason thrips r almost impossible to rid, they lay their eggs in leaf tissue, protecting them from topical treatment, so once the adults die off, a week or so later a whole new infestation begins and if u don't kill them all before adults they lay their eggs again in the tissue and the cycle is never ending! They were the hardest pest to get rid of, so I pulled out the real guns! I wasn't gunn let a tiny bug hardly seen with my eyes kill off all my plants! Plus, the thought of tiny bugs all over my home disgusted me! Since treating with systemics and Capt jacks over 6 months ago, I haven't had a single break out of any pest what so ever! Not a single mealy, spider mite, aphid or thrips! It worked and it didn't harm any of my plants! Capt jacks is a bonide product, active ingredient is spinosad. It's a spray. I buy the consentrate and mix it as I need it, much cheaper and it lasts way way longer, I have lots left over to use again for another break out... I also have used two diff systemics, one spray and absorbed thru leaves and another, granuals I mix into the soil. I'll find links on Amazon and post them in a minute :)

If you already have thrips on a few of your plants just assume they all have them.
Agreed!
