I appreciate your videos so much for the way that you tell us openly about how stressed out or unsure you're feeling about your plants. I see other channels where everything is perfect and huge and healthy and as a new plant enthusiast I can't really relate to that. Sometimes it makes me feel like maybe it's just me or maybe I'm just bad at this. You're obviously experienced and you do amazing things with your plants and hearing you talk about the hard work and the less successful attempts and the stress is honestly so reassuring. You always remind me that it's just all part of the process of learning and growing. I can't thank you enough 🖤

I wish I could grow these tropical plants outdoors like you do! During the summer I had three indoor plants vacationing outside on my balcony, a croton, a banana and a bird of paradise. All of them now look wonderful and I wish they will survive through the rough winter season indoors. My main issues are lack of light and humidity, but I've added both artificially.

New houses can be full of problems, but old houses can too, of a different kind! In less than 12 months, I've had to replace the roof (twice!), put in a new HVAC system, and replace the backyard fence that fell over in a rainstorm. I hope you had a quick and satisfactory resolution to all the house woes. (I enjoyed "walking" around with you and treating your beautiful collection!)

In the Florida Keys, that huge fern is a Macho Fern. We plant it in the ground which is not nutrient rich (soil, sand and rock) and it grows like crazy. We use those as hedges because they require minimal care and only get watered by rain.

I love your videos, mostly I love to be there watching and listening as you take care of your plants because it’s very natural, I feel like we’re friends and you’re teaching about big and little things. Also love to listen to what you’re thinking when you see something on this or that plant, because that’s experience and knowledge being passed down to us 🥰 I’m confused as to what to do. I have a calathea and ordered two more. I want to clean them but should I use the first method where you rinse it or the second where you just let it sit? Is it good to rinse them in the shower? I hope you are able to respond, I could really use your advice 😊 thank you for your videos, keep them coming please! ❤❤

@@onlyplants oh no... I am from Poland, would you say it's possible for me to find it?
Thank you for answering! I love your videos, and am absolutely obsessed with your thaumathophyllum and all your home! Would you do a home tour? If I could, I would build home just like yours 😁

In my life I've moved 18 times and IMO moving house is only stressful if you allow it to be. C'mon Sean, be a man about it - although shabby building can be very annoying. I'll grant you that.

With a thousand houseplants dying during the process and the inability to shoot any content in the time period though… this home is also my office… and living space for many plants… A lot of which I have now lost

@@onlyplants I really sympathize with you Sean, but sad as that may be, you don’t have room for that many plants anyway. Imagine trying to cram all those into your apartment…
Better focus on the future which will be bright, you’re a very hard working guy and you seem to have good contacts. Just hang in there, you’ll be OK!

You have a right to be upset. Paid to get a house. Why did the builder hire such crap workers? They have severely damaged the house with their negligence and carelessness

I believe most of the workforce in Indonesia is largely incompetent… these inefficiencies and lack of skill can be found in nearly all industries unfortunately 🥹
