Fronted by Robert Pattinson in the role of the Caped Crusader, the movie also stars Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman, as well as Westworld star Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth and Paul Dano as The Riddler.

The perfection of the mayor's sons role towards Bruce throughout the film was absolutely perfect. It was better then redoing an origin imo. When Bruce stares at the mayor's son on the bed realizing he discovered his parents death and is now an orphan, it made me tear up. You can see Pattinson's sincerity even through the mask

The passion that Matt has for his vision of The Batman is inspiring, he’s going deliver in spades! We’re in good hands and the cast is just as passionate when they talk about Matt and his vision for there character’s and this movie!
Getting Mr Freeze as a possible sequel Villian IS QUITE FUCKING EXCITING
I've seen the movie now and I'm glad he said that doesn't mean he's going to be the next villain because honestly I'm tired of seeing that particular villain. We need a break.
I think they should treat Joker the same way the mcu treated Spider-Man, do not let him be the main focus, but just a part of a bigger story. Give us a Mr. Freeze, Two-Face, Mad Hatter, Scarecrow, Poison Ivy or even someone like Ventriloquist would be really creepy.
I'm hoping for Mr. Freeze and Poison Ivy, sort of a redo of Batman & Robin but much better. Then the trilogy could end with a new villain like the Court of Owls

Couldn’t agree more. To echo your comment, I’d love if joker is treated the same way he was in the Arkham games - a major threat who pops up throughout but isn’t the main threat.

DC movies tend to be much more director driven. Marvel has a machine. For the most part save for like James Gunn and Taika Waititi any one director's unique voice isn't evident

POSSIBLE SPOILERS: The rumor being that it ends with Riddler going to Arkham Asylum, and that we hear Joker say something to him, followed by eerie laughter.
I dunno. Sounds pretty cool in theory, but are we really going to end on a Joker tease again, like in Batman Begins?? C'mon now, let's do something different!!
He's not actually unseen, he's on screen, he's just seen through bars and hard to make out. But I like that Reeves says he's not necessarily the next big bad, and I'd rather see him fully emerge in the last movie.

Before we get the joker again, i kinda wanna see some other villains from batmans rogue gallery like mad hatter, ventriloquist or hell even deathstroke. Hush would be awesome too tbf. I just dont want them to jump the gun to go straight to joker. I would actually like to see as well them introducing harvey but not makimg him two face straight away.

Most definitely. The Unseen Prisoner is the character Barry Keoghan is being credited for, and the speculation about him playing the Joker has being pretty big on the last couple of months. I'm surprised that he talked about it so openly.
God im tired of the joker, with so many other villains to choose from…
What if It's not the Joker and someone like Mad hatter etc but most probably it's the joker if I am honest.
I'm obsessed with the way Matt Reeves does world-building for his Batverse, people are complaining about the Joker scene at the end which indeed does feel a bit tacked on but he said it himself that it's not meant to be a tease for the sequel but just show us that the world is bigger and Batman's classic rouges gallery exist out there.
Also the prequel novel directly references Lexcorp and Metropolis, further fleshing out the universe Reeves wanted to portray (Also Bludhaven).

Well it’s definitely Joker however I do believe we won’t see the full joker villain experience till probably movie three. My gut feeling is they’ll be doing Mr. Freeze as the main antagonist next
That’s what I’m thinking too. I have a feeling that Joker will get the Thanos treatment, if you know what I mean. However, I’d love to see them adapt the John Doe version of the Joker from the Telltale games in live action.

Paul Danos performance was great. It played a great role in the story. But honestly "The Riddler" being a serial killer who sends simple riddles was a little too pulled back for me. Not "comic booky" enough. Especially seeing a pre joker joker who's face is already scarred and contorted.
If this Riddler escapes he needs to evolve into something more extreme.

It must have been a great discovery for Matt directing a movie like "The Batman" and, at the same time, casting Robert Pattinson to play Batman's role was like winning the lottery. I think the movie's key was Paul Dano as the Riddler in spite of the fact that he was the supporting actor.

hes a good director i hope he continues with the detective route and has batman face victor zsas which would make for a really terrifying movie just a horror movie of that sicko carving his victims and batman has to stop him hell it was one of the best batman story lines in shadow of the bat the last arkham i believe it was called i read it a year ago and loved all you'd have to do is copy and paste that story-line no rewrites necessary

I'm really hoping they save Scarecrow and other villains they've used before for a 3rd installment. I'd like to see Hugo Strang along with others in the corruption in the medical field making sense of his twisted experiments which could be a gateway to the fantastical. The Batman 2 should focus on Hush, Freeze and Hugo Strange experimenting on someone like Langstrom or Two Face or even Clayface. I would have Harvey injured during the Penguin spin off when he takes on the Maroni case and put him in the hospital bed for the second film. He would be seeking medical attention from Thomas Elliot allowing Bruce Wayne and Thomas Elliot to cross pathes. Viewers would know it's Hush but Bruce would think it's his childhood friend and conflict with himself and sins of the father whle Elliot continues to manipulate him from behind the scenes. Then.. A Miracle cure like Renuyu could be in the works and funded by Rewnewa and introduced by Hugo Strangel. It could be tested on a desperate actor like Basil Karlo if they do manage to go the fantastical route. The experiment would fail and create Clayface making Bruce move forward and cut the funding of Rewnewal forcing Dent to remain as he is... Two Face by the end of The Batman 2. The cutting off of Renewal could also put Mr. Freeze's experiments in jeopardy if the flood didn't do that already. Floods would interrupt Freeze's work and force him to suffer from gangrene and or hypothermia and he would go after those responsible like Bruce Wayne or anyone involved with Renewal. THEN I could see the 3rd film surrounding a "Strange Circus" which could focus on chemical compounds. The Circus theme could also start off or end while including the Graysons while metaphorically referring to Gotham as a Circus. Kind of like a "City of Freaks / Fear" including inmates that escape from Arkham. Mad Hatter would easily be the ring leader of a Strange Circus along side others like Bane , Ivy and Scarecrow. Otherwise he would be good for a therapist that hypnotizes parents and kidnaps children to become Talons for the Owls who are pulling the strings and tie everything together. We can get an idea of who they are following the information we get from that spin off in the near future. But Scarecrow. Bane . Ivy and even Hatter would fit in well with a Circus / Bio Weapon plot along with escapees from Arkham like Joker and Riddler (War of Jokes and Riddles) in the Batman 3.. The next movie NEEDS to focus on Hugo Strange and Mr. Freeze at the very least. Man Bat could also be in the works then appear in Arkham or Batman 3: Strange Circus. If they do anything other than medical then chemical it will fall flat like TDK Rises did.
The Penguin: 3 Faces theme
Focus on the Maroni Trial (Court) leaving Harvey Dent to get injured at the end putting him in the hospital
Cast : Penguin, Sofia Falcone, Alberto Falcone, Sal Maroni and Harvey Dent. Maybe Scarface as a rival distro for the Penguin
The Batman 2 : Cold Cases
Medical Corruption - Bruce and Thomas talk over the bedside of Harvey Dent while Hugo Strange is experiments on those like Langstrom or Karlo Basil and then Harvey Dent
Cast: Hugo Strange, Mr. Freeze, Hush (Thomas Elliot) and Kirk Langstrom. Maybe the desperate actor Basil Karlo to boost speculation
Arkham Asylum: Strange Circus
Follow the new employee Harley Quinn as she interviews numerous villains from the Rouges galley each episode
Cast: Joker, Riddler, Clayface, Scarface, Victor Zsasz, Professor Pyg, Scarecrow and Calendar Man
The Batman 3: Strange Circus
Focus on Bio Weapons & Chemical Components - Mad Hatter is the ring leader of a circus , hypnotizing parents and kidnaping kids to become Talons for the Owls
Cast Scarecrow, Bane, Poison Ivy and Mad Hatter. Maybe Richard Grayson and then end the trilogy with a young Robin and everyone escaping from Arkham.
Then we can start again with Leslie Grace's Batgirl after Jeffrey Wright name drops his daughter in one if not both of the next installments. Then we can have a Batgirl movie because she originally acts on her own and then she would cross paths with the now older conflicted adopted son of Batman/Bruce Wayne which is Dick Grayson before he becomes Nightwing. Then we can proceed with the rest of the Bat Family with a HUGE selection to choose from out of the Rogues Gallery
I'd love to see killer croc or freeze in the sequel, someone more comic booky
The pyg and ventriloquist and mad hatter are all great villains for a sequel.
The ventriloquist will be good villain for Reeve's next Batman movie. Reeves like his characters to be human or grounded. Choosing as the ventriloquist will be the best since he had a multi personality disorder
I feel that’s a bit fantastical for this universe, but if they created a human character named Scarface, that turned out to be the court of owls puppet that is sent to fill the power vacuum as penguin is fighting to be king pin…. It would be verrry interesting, to find out a major court leader is a certain Mr. W (wesker)!

I totally understand, but Matt clearly has a big plan, and if Joker is part of that plan, then we can't really complain cuz it's ultimately his own story that he's telling.
