The fact that the interviewer ask about "this particular acting" job, shows a lot about where the oscar stands on performance capture.

I hope this film is nominated for Best Visual Effects and a Special Award or even a Best Actor but that seems unlikely for Andy Serkis. Plus on a side note, I hope Logan gets nominated for Best Picture, Best Actor for Hugh Jackman, and possibly a Best Supporting Actor for Patrick Stewart.

"Academy conversations" yadda yadda yadda. Give them the fucking Oscar, Academy. Enough oldschool parlance with the "we don't nominate motion capture". It is time Serkis receives consideration for his astonishing work. And nominate the outstanding Steve Zahn as Bad Monkey too while you're at it. He should be a shoe-in for Best Supporting Actor.
