This week's van life vlog begins in Tarifa, Spain where Eamon has a go at kiteboarding and we begin the process of shipping our van to Africa. We add another solar panel, do a massive grocery shop and gather a group of vanlifers to take the ferry together. FYI We took the ferry from Algeciras to Tangier Med and it cost each campervan 180 euros and took about 1.5 hours. Tangier Med is a relatively new port and is very well maintained which led to a seamless border crossing. To all those making the journey, GOOD LUCK and remember not to bring your drone!

Always, always, always clear your cookies before actually buying the tickets. There’s some tracking feature airlines have that really does bump up the cost of flights after you’ve searched. Several friends tried this and were thankful I mentioned it. Just clear those cookies every time after you search and then before, just in case as it might save you hundreds.

Tarifa is amazing for van lifers isn`t it? At one point in the vid I tought you were needing a submarine, there was so much water! Have a great time in Morocco. I love going there. We used Tangier Med last year. Great route. However, we ended up being victims of a minor scam on the way back to Spain. We arrived as a ferry was about to leave. The guy in the office kidded us into believing he could get us on that ferry, and not have to wait for the next. So we paid him his tip and rushed through (on our motorbikes), only to be held up for ages at the security checks. So he was a bunch of Euros better off, and we had to wait for the next ferry anyway. So if they try that trick on you (or anyone else reading this) don't fall for it! However, we didn't let it spoil the memory of a great trip. Looking forward to seeing your experiences. Enjoy yourselves.

First thing I thought about is the dogs. No issue bringing them into Morocco? You will LOVE it. People are amazing, food is yum & the country is beautiful! You have to go to a hammam.

Excited to hear about your travels in Morocco. I lived in Morocco for a year and a half back in the early 1970s. I lived in Fes, Marrakesh, and south of Rabot, on the Beach. The culture was great, the people were great, the food was excellent, and everything was cheap back in the day. Hoping you’ll have a wonderful time!

New sub here. I love watching and following you guys on your adventures. I love that Allen is 70, and still chasing the dream. My husband and I are in our early 30s, so that gives me hope! 😊 Right now we're starting with a full size Ford transit cargo van, but it'll be at least a year or so before we'll be able to travel. We have a 5 year old daughter, so we'll be traveling during summer breaks from school and long weekend trips. It's so awesome that even though vanlife is wherever you go, there's a sense of community.

I recently bought a bus and beginning the build out process! It's a ton of work and can be overwhelming at times but watching your videos reminds me that it's all worth it and it's all part of the process!! Excited to continue watching your adventures in Morocco!!

Sooo amazing! I can’t even manage to get out of Alabama. But I’m getting my solar and my Webasto heater installed this month. My lofty goal is Arizona! 😂 still that’s a few thousand miles on an antique van (she’s 25 years old).
That's incredible!! Adventure doesn't need to mean taking a flight or a ferry! There is so much exploring to be done in our own backyards as well :)
Thanks for the pep talk 😃 I’ll plan to get my old van to Cali and back. Maybe I’ll dream bigger after that. I’m 60 so I kinda feel like I better get going. But hubby is building out a new ProMaster, maybe I’ll save that one to see the world if I’m still alive when it’s finished 😂 but we do have 1005 watts of solar and are building our lithium bank. But it’s still a big empty shell, so I still have my good ole van. Y’all are inspiring!

Also, I have a special and humble suggestion of video: the backstage of how do u guys have the recording set up for outdoor activities. Like, the take of guys running on the beach, I noticed there was some drone recording. So how do you guys do it? Do you bring the gear along with you , have some breaks to set camera in angles and stuff? So curious to know :))

As for the running scene... we carried our go pro with us on a small tripod/clamp and then after the run went back to the van and then back to the beach with the drone just to film those two clips! We definitely don’t make it easy on ourselves but we think it makes for some interesting content ❤️
