- this video I briefly describe how to bypass the thermal coupler and the safety devices if the thermal coupler fails. I know that you can go out and buy a new one but I was in a pinch and I looked up other people and they were doing it propane heaters that had pallet lights this does not have a pilot light and I want to see if I could get it to work.
it works for me and I know how I'm going to use this safely period but I do not recommend anybody doing it if you do it's on you.
Hopefully you’re just demonstrating inside and don’t use these indoors.
Carbon monoxide is real and I’ve gotten sick from it before. I use one in my garage sometimes and even with good ventilation you can still generate enough CO that it won’t dissipate how you’d expect.
I’ve had this exact problem though and I appreciate you sharing this!
Rather than disable a safety device (not needed by people who never have accidents) try detaching the thermo-couple probe (the part that is right next to the flame) and using some emery cloth on the probe. The probe was easy to remove and cleaning it brought the heater right back into service. Previously, it was very hard to get to stay lit, and would often turn off after a few seconds. It took all of five minutes to do.
@ 1:43, when u pressed that button, that's where my problem starts. Why is it not making that noise for it to come on. It's doing it on both sides.
I’m having the same problem
I ended up scrapping the heater. I replaced it with a new single burner Mr heater. I might an update video. I bought the new heater in September of 2021.
Duct tape the red button in. It takes 2.4 seconds and the problem is solved.
I never even gave that I thought. I had scrapped the heater like I told someone else. But what I mean by that is I'm not using it I still have it here for parts I might give your suggestion a try it would be nice to have the double burner and a single burner. Back in September of 2021 I bought a single burner Mr heater so I will keep your advice in mind for future problems thank you for your comment.
I forgot to mention that the burner that I'm having problem with doesn't stay lit as soon as you take your thumb off the primer button it goes out. Sometimes it'll make a weird sound before it goes out burning in properly
a waste of time and his talking is not even understandable...
Yep I couldn't even hear him....Mumble say what????
