  • Great little heater for most, if not all outdoor applications! A great option that sips propane rather than gulp down your whole tank. 48 HOURS burn time on low setting!

    There is an opening in the back to use either matches or your grill lighter. This is for safety! You should always light the heater from behind the dish, not in front of it.

    The red button is not an ignition source. It is to bypass the safety valve to fool the thermal coupler into thinking there is flame. That is why yo have to hold I in for awhile. When the sensor rod in the heat area sends a signal, the button can be released . It’s purpose is to shut off gas in the event of a flameout.

    I couldn't get my valves to align but saw how you just have to push in really hard. It says in directions to use a soap solution & check for leaks, which wasn't performed.
    Better safe than sorry. Also, I plan to use mine (on low heat) overnight in greenhouse to get me through some cold ass nights coming! There's no way you can get away with the heat lasting all night up there in NJ much less here in TX! Cheers

      Yea it would cost a fortune in propane lol. My greenhouse is empty this time of year. Just cuttings in bags to propagate in the spring. I use this heater for the one-off cool nights in the spring to get my veggie starts a good head start into the spring season. I also use this heater to melt the snow and ice off the glass roof of the greenhouse. We could not use this to heat the greenhouse for winter produce. Thanks for the comment and cheers from NJ!

      @@twiggshomestead6497 Yeah, we're about to be at least 30 hrs below freezing ( last year it was like 100 plus hence lots of plants perished) but also a big chance of ice so maybe power outage. I have a small greenhouse so a small electric heater can easily keep at 45°F on a 20° nite on low. If power goes out I can do use Mr. Heater on low hopefully as they say 16° lowest but I'll see (monitored w/bedroom guage)! making sure two vents are open just in case! It's coming to u guys up there so get ready!🥶

    You do not need a lighter to light it. By matchless it means it has an electric lighter when you press the button. The spark module on the right side of the burner is there to create a spark when you press the red button that's how it ignites.

    • @4jr909
      @4jr909 2 роки тому +3

      just like mine. his igniter switch didn’t click for the spark to start up. i have to use a lighter as well 🤦🏽‍♂️ brand new and it doesn’t spark

    • @tamermogannam
      @tamermogannam 2 роки тому +5

      That’s not an electric igniter, it’s a safety shut-off valve that stops gas flow if flame is extinguished. By pressing on the side tab you manually open the safety valve, and when the probe by the burner gets hot it latches the value in the open position so you can let go of the tab and the heater will maintain operation. This is why the directions say hold it for 30 sec to allow for the probe to get hot. From experience, you really only need to hold it for few seconds. If you let it go too soon then the heater will turn off. Simply repeat the process and hold the tab for a little longer.

  • @citizen127at
    @citizen127at 2 роки тому +3

    This heater does not have a "matchless" ignition. Why would you use a lighter if it did? The safety shut-off valve plunger is what you were pressing there. You should read the instructions before demonstrating a product on camera, you contradicted the instructions three times in the ignition section alone:
    1. Open Cylinder valve by turning
    counterclockwise .
    2. Turn heater regulator knob
    clockwise to the
    “High” ( ) position. (Fig. 4)
    WARNING: Stand to the side of unit while
    lighting. Do not stand or have any part of your
    body over or in front of heater while lighting.
    3. Do not attempt to light one burner off of
    the other. Use one match per burner.
    Locate ignition hole in side of burner.
    (Fig. 5) Insert a lit match through ignition hole.
    4. Push in the safety shut-off valve plunger (Fig. 5)
    ...
