She is a marginated tortoise and I keep her inside because I live in Canada. And I don't have access to a thermal regulated outdoor enclosure. I keep her In a fish tank as of now but moving her to her permanent home a tortoise box. I know outdoors is best but I am unable to provide that for her as of now.
landon johnston what species is it if it's a grassland tortoise like the margnated or Mediterranean species then they need a diet high in fiber and calcium.. weeds ,leafy green vegetables.and tortoise pellets are okay to add to their diets like mazuri tortoise pellets and zoo med tortoise grassland pellets are great. I buy a lot of pre-made organic leafy green salads with no spinach in it. spinach is not good for them . collard greens, mustard greens, romaine lettuce, kale, prickly pear cactus just to name a few . a wide variety is the best way to go . non citrus fruit can be offered only as a once in a while treat too much can mess up their digestive system . hope that helped some
