@@Bannerlordfor Inverted difficulty curves are awesome. FTL, Battle Brothers, Darkest Dungeon. They all do a great job of making you work for it in the early game and reward you later in the end game.

I did the final mission with 6 psi ops with war suits. The final room I mind controlled two andromedons, an archon, two captains and a sectoid. It was so easy
i wouldnt say psi operative is op tho see some comments saying so but the thing is 90% of the work is done by the gate keeper without that i think this mission would have gone very different
could have been better with permanent dark event "LOST WORLD" use some explosives to mass produce lost ones and use the gatekeeper rift on them, boom instant army of zombies
That's sound like it would be an interesting playthrough as it actually was a mix of good and bad in my experience as a temporary event, sometimes causing the aliens to shoot them instead of the squad during avenger defense, though usually being unable to take them out in one turn
You must have EX rank luck in this run. If I tried the same every Domination would fail, every shot against me would be a crit, every shot I took would be a miss.
This game has the most rewarding end game i have ever seen. At the beginning you feel like you want to commit suicide because of shit equipments and the doomsday clock. At the end game though you are an absolute wrecking machine.
This is a very impressive performance! I have only just started to play XCOM 2 - it is licking my butt so far. XD But the features this game has are astonishing. I really enjoy the game and love what other people show off on UA-cam! I hope I will get around to being as good in the game. Which is still very hard for me. I do not know HALF of what this game has to offer. I have miles to go ...
I once had a play-through where I went Psi as soon as possible and spent the entire game training up a cadre of 6 fully-leveled Psi Operatives just in time for the final mission. It was a cake walk. My actual soldiers didn't get hit once.
I used to just put on a wraith suit, run around everyone and get revealed only when I place the bomb, then walk right out to the extraction point on the same turn. Now playing wotc, my reaper has 35 mobility and can do the sabotage mission in 1-2 turns with no damage and no shots fired. Kind of took the fun out of it though.
Good display but after a certain point the decisions are kinda horrible. Why attack the tanky soldier with a zombie? Why not focus it before it shields everybody? Anyway, nice one

Does anyone know if there is a mod out there that exist that exclude dead mind controlled enemies (including dead psi zombie) from counting toward Soldier killed (during mission)? Or maybe someone knows if it possible to fix through one of the config files. I don't understand why Firaxis didn't fix this through a patch or something already.
Gate Keeper was a super luxury but this can be done on smaller scale on other missions with a sectoid and slowly built up zombies via the sectoid from each pod we faced.
A void rift could of also been very good and considering the psi operative had exo armor, there would have been some room still, especially with psi lance or even the gatekeeper getting a mental debuff
As sadistic as this is, it’s fun to dominate an enemy V.I.P. and make them willingly go extract themselves, only to realize what happened after their onboard and out of range
If u had been up against one priest then stasis on the mc target fucks ur entire strat completely, yes the psi op is very strong, but the best soldier by far is the ranger imo.
Ranger is pretty good with melee, especially with the Chosen melee weapon, but there are other ways to recreate the same effect with other classes, such as a sharpshooter taking down basically everything with a combo of the sniping trees abilites and one ability from the slinger tree for hunkering down so you can't miss and usually crit Though as for the statement itself, Mutons and a Chosen with the immunity to melee damage cause issues

The game changes them in that way once they become psionic. As to the lore of that happening, I'm not sure. In Enemy Within they got the purple eyes only, the white hair might be caused because of the forced or rushed style of the psi training in Xcom 2...
I made the same type of mission but with a phase-suit(it was long ago I dont remember the exact name) I played hide and seek pjasing through wall and also dominated a gatekeeper....but I left mine in the epicenter of explosion in the end.
Only psi zombies count in the mission rating, it's known to be a glitch In WOTC, the mission rating also counts advent soldiers or resistance soldiers spawned with resistance orders

Its a W.A.R suit .. basically its exo plus the ability to deploy the user as a high cover wall for their teammates to hide behind
